Dawn Sutherland paused for a moment but didn't turn back, replying softly, "Yes."
"Congratulations on your dreams coming true, marrying the girl you love most." Candy smiled, but there was a hint of sadness deep in her usually bright eyes.
"Thank you." Dawn smiled faintly and walked outside.
Watching Dawn's departing figure, Candy shrugged, leaning against the doorway with a touch of melancholy on her face, murmuring softly, "Candy, it's nothing, Dawn's marriage is a good thing, especially since he married the girl he's secretly loved for so long. Candy, you can't be petty, you have to bless Dawn, he considers you a buddy!"
Though Candy kept repeating this to herself, her heart felt inexplicably blocked, carrying a bitter-sweet taste tinged with bitterness.
When Dawn returned to the car, the person in the passenger seat had already drifted off to sleep.
Dawn adjusted the car's temperature higher, gazing at the sleeping Daisy Grant with the softest starlight in his eyes.
