Second floor. Arlo Seys finished talking with Callan Walkers, Dawn Sutherland, and Nico Haynes, stretched his long legs, and headed downstairs. As he reached the stairway, Susan Saxton's voice rang out.
"Ariel Morris, I've put up with you for long enough!"
Arlo Seys stopped in his tracks, hearing the voice all too familiar, cold and clear.
"Susan Saxton, I should be the one saying that! You caused my grandfather's death, swapped me away, led my mother to an early grave, and seized my grandfather's company! One by one, all these sins, you should repay with your life!"
Her words were as cold as frost, Arlo Seys stood at the second-floor stairway, looking at Ariel Morris's face, a tangible ache in his eyes.
Why must it always be Ariel? Why burden her with such a tragic fate? He only wanted her happiness; why must fate be so cruel as to steal away her radiant smile?
