Daisy Grant just wiped away her tears and, upon hearing Dawn Sutherland's gentle voice, broke down, unable to control the increasingly overwhelming torrent.
"Second Brother." Daisy called with a sob.
"Second Brother, what should I do? Second Brother, I don't want an arranged marriage, I don't want to marry Aidan Sutherland."
Daisy cried out loud.
"Others can choose their own marriage, why can't I? Others have the courage to pursue their happiness, but I can't even speak up, Second Brother, I feel awful."
Her helplessness and tears stirred deep pity in Dawn Sutherland's heart. He pulled out a few tissues, reached out to wipe her tears, and gently comforted her: "Daisy, don't cry."
If you cry, my heart will ache, but I can't say that.
His soothing voice, gentle comfort, his eyes filled with soft starlight, made Daisy look at him, and momentarily lose control, directly hugging his neck tightly.
