Tae Joon stormed out of the school building, his footsteps loud and rushed. He walked so fast he didn't even notice the security guard trying to talk to him.
"Have you seen her?" the guard asked, but Tae Joon didn't stop. He didn't even glance his way. He just kept walking, jaw clenched, fists tight at his sides. His eyes burned with rage and jealousy.
A few minutes later, Na-ri and Jin Woo walked out of the school slowly, heading toward the gate. Na-ri's head was lowered. Her eyes were red and swollen from crying. She didn't say a word. Jin Woo walked beside her, quiet too, stealing glances at her from time to time. He wanted to ask if she was okay—he was about to—but before the words could leave his mouth, she spoke softly, almost like she'd read his thoughts.
"I'm okay," she said. Then looked at him for a second and added, "Thank you, Jin Woo. Thank you So much."
