"Shh..." Hall pulled the screaming little girl closer and covered her mouth. If Sophie were to walk in now, his plan would be ruined.
"Ahhh..." Hall released his grip abruptly, staring at the tiny bite marks on his finger, looking incredulously at the angry little girl glaring back at him. *Are humans this formidable nowadays? Even a simple bite leaves a mark? What kind of dragon am I? I might as well call myself a worm! I've clearly been sleeping too much; it's time for some serious reflection!*
"Uncle Bradley, what are you doing?" Charles asked curiously, crawling over to the new uncle and the strange people around him. Was Uncle Todd hiding them here too?
"Uh..." The group, startled by the sudden light, awkwardly smiled at Charles. The only one who recognized Charles, Agatha, and Little White turned to introduce them: "This beautiful little princess is Sophie's daughter, Agatha. This little prince is her son, Charles. And this little creature is Sophie's companion beast, Little White!"
Hall looked at the little girl he had pulled close, feeling something was off but unable to pinpoint exactly what. *No wonder she left a mark; she must be Sophie's daughter! A tiger mother indeed has no dog-like cubs—such potential!*
"Charles, Agatha, Little White, this is our clan leader, your mom's uncle, Hall. He's also my father, so you can call him Grandpa! Or if you prefer, Old Man!" Bradley explained, rubbing his sore head after being hit by Hall. "Don't listen to the kid, you should call him Grandpa! Later, he'll have gifts for you. The others are just uncles, don't worry about them. Be good now! We're going to play a game with Mom and Dad, okay?"
Hall actually wanted them to leave, but if they ran into Sophie, his plan would fail. So he needed to keep them calm for now.
Little White rolled his eyes. Were all dragons like this? Didn't they fear corrupting children?
"Okay!" Agatha and Charles quickly crawled in, eagerly waiting for their parents. But their eyelids grew heavier and heavier until they fell asleep. Only Little White, with a knowing look, lazily lay on the side.
"Old Man, what are you up to?" Bradley checked on the children and, relieved that they were just sleeping, asked.
"Are you stupid? Can kids watch what's about to happen? If we didn't put them to sleep, what else could we do?" Hall wondered how he could have such a dim-witted son.
The young men exchanged glances, finally understanding the clan leader's intentions. They waited silently for the newlyweds to arrive, curious about their reactions when they discovered the group.
The door opened again, and Sulei, supporting a blushing Sophie, stumbled inside. Although they had shared a tent before, nothing inappropriate had ever happened.
On their wedding night, Sophie nervously drank wine to muster courage. Despite her red face, she remained sober and alert. It was Sulei who got slightly drunk, perhaps due to emotional intoxication.
After throwing Sulei onto the bed, Sophie started tidying up to hide her nervousness, avoiding eye contact with him.
"Sophie..." Sulei gazed at his bride with drunken eyes, reaching out to pull her closer, only to find her gone!
"Oh, it's so dirty here!" Seeing a small stain on the carpet, Sophie hurried to clean it, searching for more excuses to avoid Sulei.
"I'm so frustrated! Such a perfect moment wasted! Hurry up, or I'll be unnecessarily nervous!" Hall sighed, almost spilling the pink liquid he held. He managed to steady himself just in time. Watching Sophie sweep the floor, he muttered silently.
The other young men felt tense, expecting an exciting scene. Instead, Sophie's behavior disappointed them.
"Sophie..." Sighing, Sulei sat up. He had noticed Sophie's odd behavior during dinner but hadn't expected her to be so nervous. It was endearing yet frustrating.
"Why is it so messy here?" Ignoring Sulei, Sophie continued organizing things.
Sophie's heart raced, her face flushed. Though she had seen similar scenes in movies, experiencing it herself made her extremely nervous.
"Come on, be brave!" The hidden observers were even more anxious than the couple, especially Lionel, whose face turned purple from excitement.
"Sophie, I love you!" Sulei gently hugged her, trying to comfort her. "If you're scared, we can wait until you're ready." He kissed her softly, resting his chin on her shoulder.
"Sulei..." Looking at his misty eyes, Sophie regretted her shyness. They were married; why should she be embarrassed? "I'm not afraid! I just wanted to tidy up because the carpet was dirty and the room messy... Mmm."
Sulei sealed her lips with a kiss, a sly smile flashing across his face.
Floating in bliss, Sophie let Sulei hold her, knowing she was his wife and he was her beloved.
Before they reached the bed, a series of loud thuds echoed, followed by a white figure flying out along with the bed.
"Darn... Murder!" Covering his nose, Hall rushed out second.
The bed crashed, scattering the red-faced youths. They all held their noses, glaring at the culprit.
"Boss, I couldn't help it!" Lionel explained, followed by another loud fart, adding to the already foul air.
"Lionel, what did you eat? Your farts are toxic!" Raphael complained.
"You idiot! Couldn't you hold it in longer?" Bradley muffled through his hand.
"Boss!" Stanford tugged at Bradley's sleeve, signaling him to notice their surroundings.
Ignoring him, Bradley recoiled, wondering if Stanford had peculiar tastes.
"Bradley..." A voice from hell froze him. Turning stiffly, he saw Sophie with a livid expression.
Interrupted during their intimate moment, even the most patient person would be furious. Especially Sophie, who had just gathered her courage. If not for Sulei's quick reflexes, they would have been hit by the suddenly collapsing bed. Now, their new room reeked.
"Sophie... Sister... Haha... Haha..." Bradley backed away, sensing clear hostility. Why was everyone glaring at him? There were others present; why single him out?
"Sophie, maybe you should get Agatha and Charles out," Little White suggested, worried about the children.
"Charles? Agatha?" Sophie spotted the two small figures under the bed, veins popping in anger. How did the children end up there?
Without hesitation, Sulei rescued the children, checking them over. They were just sleeping, though their brows were furrowed, likely from the foul smell.
"Bradley, care to explain?" Sophie approached menacingly, ready to bite.
"Uh... I don't know anything! I was dragged here by the Old Man!" Bradley pointed at Hall, who was trying to escape.
Turning around, Hall froze. His son had betrayed him! Stiffly facing Sophie, his eyes twitched. When did Sophie become so fast?
Just as Hall was distracted by Bradley, Sophie realized he had missed seeing Uncle Hall earlier. She wanted to know why they were there and what kind of gift they planned to give.
"Uncle Hall, this isn't how you should give a wedding gift!" Sophie's tone was icy.
