Two days had passed since Alex's duel with Prince Asta ended.
The students of the academy were quite surprised when they found out that the students from Aetherion Academy, except for Valentina, had chosen to return to the Empire.
Rumors began and spiraled, saying that the Prince decided to return to his homeland after being traumatized by Alex's one-sided beating.
Some said that Alex had blackmailed Prince Asta into leaving, using foul means to kick him out of the academy.
But the most popular of those reasons was something that made Alex cringe so hard that it was not even funny.
The reason for the Crown Prince's departure was that Prince Asta had confessed his love to Alex after losing to him, only to be rejected without mercy.
There was even another rumor about Vaan stealing Valentina from the Prince, which made Prince Asta feel betrayed, so he left the academy with a broken heart.
