Chapter 219 - Shards of Broken Reality

There were two pieces of news. The bad news was that the Silver authority was being controlled, making it unlikely to take. The good news was that the other half of the true name had been found, and its location was right on that Black Dragon in front of them.

That was worse than bad news. Realizing where the other half was, the players behind nearly wanted to smash their controllers. The greatest planned obstacle had always been that Black Dragon, which they intended to kill after obtaining Bahamut.

Now they were stuck. Fate was not fully revived and had not reached peak power. It was like needing Holy Sword to kill Demon King, but the item only dropped after the kill. Even reality made less sense than a broken game.

The three heads roared together as they reached an understanding. It had to be Bahamut and Dawn's scheme, splitting the true name during reincarnation and secretly nurturing this Black Dragon to ruin everything. Ham was just a decoy.

Even so, using the soul of Dragon God as bait was laughable. Even without the complete true name, they believed themselves invincible. With a furious roar, Bahamut decided to reclaim the Silver authority first and kill the substitute player, convinced it could not be that strong.

In the next instant, confusion set in. Endless Abyss darkness and surging blood melted away, pierced by sword-like strands of golden light that tore everything into shards. The three heads smoked and screamed as they recoiled, struck by the overwhelming Holy Light blazing like a sun.

A rotating solar ring spread blazing wings like a corona, erasing the night and allowing no darkness to remain. Three noble heads emerged, eyes like blood-red gems, sacred and imposing, utterly different from the filth of Abyss. Golden light drifted as golden Gold Rank armor covered every inch of the body.

Dragon horns rose like a crown bearing a sun. Powerful hind legs stood, two tails swayed with tips burning in pure gold flame, and sparks of lightning danced across the body. Fueled by immense faith pouring through a channel, the true form briefly manifested as the being called Thousand-Year Dragon King.

There was no need for denial. This was a true god. With a triple roar, it challenged the foe to show how much of a real King Ghidorah it truly had before the main body arrived.

Mephist thrilled at controlling this unprecedented body, all three heads roaring as even hotter radiance burst forth. The small translated space revealed its true power, and the withered sun behind burned like a star. Where once there had been pitch-black darkness, on the edge of the mountains, the sun that had sunk into golden dusk slowly rose again under a god's roar.

"What kind of ghostly phenomenon is that?"

"…No idea. I feel like I have seen plenty of absurd things before, but this one is still too much."

The future was rapidly analyzing the data, and the reason was simple. By all logic, it was already afternoon, and the sun should have been close to setting behind the mountains. Yet after that Black Dragon let out a single roar, the sun that had almost sunk completely into the mountain range began to fly backward.

Yes, it was flying backward, and at a ridiculous speed. Before long, it rushed back to its noon position, and Bella activated her database and detection equipment to investigate. She found nothing, as powerful electromagnetic interference had formed in the area and severely disrupted all device functions.

"This is even more absurd. The physical constants around us are being rewritten, and I cannot analyze them for now. My CPU is almost overheating!"

Bella wiped sweat from herself, while her body ran absolute zero cooling programs internally to lower her temperature. The drastic changes in the environment made it hard for her to keep up with calculations. The surroundings felt like an incomplete world made of only a few numbers that was being rapidly filled in, forming fast add and subtract routines, like bark growing back into a whole tree.

"It looks like some kind of domain, and it directly uses its own Laws to overwrite the base world. This phenomenon is a bit like… Divine Kingdom?"

Safas was experienced, but even he had never seen anything like this. Using Domain Manifestation to cover reality with one's own Laws was something he could already do with ease, but this scale was far beyond reason. He was following the divine oracle given earlier by Goddess, preparing an ultra large Spatial Teleportation Array big enough to let even Belial be instantly Teleportation to a distant place.

This was no easy task. Spatial Teleportation itself was basic coursework for him, but the passenger's sheer size made it unavoidable. Even so, he kept working without pause.

"If nothing unexpected happens, it should be that Goddess is doing something together with Belial. The cause and effect produced by the distant past and disturbed Fate has also been forcibly cut off."

A phenomenon of this scale was unfolding, and according to Safas's probing, its range was still expanding at an alarming speed. Everyone present turned their eyes toward Belial, who was lowering his head and operating with focus, his body radiating brilliant golden light. He bore the Sun Wheel on his back, wings spread wide.

"…Hard to believe, but this really looks like his doing."

Daily common sense was shattered, and Lilith felt a familiar feeling she had not experienced in a long time. Things had been exaggerated before, but they were usually about destruction or specific properties. Ordering the sun to fly back to work with a single shout raised the question of what kind of qualification that even took.

As for Belial himself, he was busy logging into the account of the Thousand-Year Dragon King and trading blows with the hybrid version of King Ghidorah. His focus was entirely on the fight in front of him.

"Let me be clear, the power I can provide is not much. The duration should be kept to…"

"I get it! Even three minutes is enough for my main body to fly over and smash him to death!"

The three headed Gold Great Dragon beat its wings hard, and the huge Sun Wheel behind it rapidly expanded into a spherical barrier that wrapped its entire body. Blinding light then erupted from every direction at once. Like a solar flare, massive light and heat rolled outward, grinding away any darkness and filth that dared invade its domain.

Belial was still not fully used to this body. With two fewer hands and an extra tail and two extra heads, he could not land a Space Detonation Punch like before. Still, his old fighting style had always been unusual and playful, since Godzilla and King Ghidorah were, in theory, both Mage turret units.

In truth, it had been a long time since he met an opponent that let him unleash maximum output and bombard without restraint. That made the current situation oddly refreshing. He could finally stop holding back.

"But things are different now. Damn it, the Thousand-Year Dragon King account is still too weak, forcing me to act as a turret!"

All three dragon heads opened their jaws, and golden gravity beams shaped like Lightning Magic blasted out. They split through the blockbuster darkness like blades, striking the hybrid King Ghidorah and making all three of its heads scream as sparks and black smoke burst out. Its form grew faint, yet it still lunged forward, jaws full of spikes, only to be met by Belial's cold laugh and relentless firepower.

The long necks of the three heads were bombarded by gravity beams, lightning crawling over their bodies. They were dragged straight down from the sky and smashed into the ground, shaking mountains and shattering a blockbuster wide area into broken Shard. The impact left the land torn apart.

"Interesting."

Belial shook his heads up and down, then slammed Bahamut's head and neck back and forth into the ground while continuing to pour on gravity beams. As unbearable pain flooded in, rage surged, even though his true body was still in Dragon Valley and only a fragment of power was manifested here. He was Fate, and such humiliation was not something he was used to.

"Actually, I have eaten losses plenty of times. I have been beaten back to loading screens more than once. I am really weak, not good at fighting at all. Who told you Fate is good at combat?"

Another version of his own voice shouted noisily in his head, furious and unwilling. At the same time, Fate began to use his authority to strike back. Space on the world's surface rippled like waves, and once in a while, towering surges caused parts of space to fail and be severed by Rend, forming small Spatial Rift.

The probability of this was extremely low. Under countless tiny dice rolls and levers, that probability was steadily raised until it became inevitable. Dozens of pitch black Spatial Rift spanning thousands of miles appeared at the same spot in an instant and fully intersected with Belial's body.

Even matter at the atomic level was sliced cleanly in half by spatial properties. If it had to be described, it was like an oversized Dimensional Rend. This was not the end, as ancient calamities from primordial times, such as elemental floods, spatial collapse, and Laws disorder, were cut from past fragments and forced into the present era.
