Chapter 220 - When Fate Converges Into Catastrophe

Nearly a hundred terrifying disasters manifested at the same place and time. They were bound tightly within Belial's domain and fused into an even more dreadful composite catastrophe that struck directly at his body. Even in the current era, disasters still existed, and under pushed probability, multiple extinction level meteors fell from outer Space at unimaginable speed, slamming into the same point.

This was Fate. It turned the impossible into possible, and the possible into inevitable. If not for the fact that his Fate trajectory could not be found on this target at all, things would not have been this troublesome.

Knowing this still would not be enough to kill that troublesome Black Dragon, Bahamut opened his jaws. Power cut and stolen from countless Fate lines and past times gathered, including impact, heat, slashing, freezing, disease, and even wounds themselves. All forces that could be called damage merged into filthy dragon thunder that began a blockbuster sweep, erasing matter at the microscopic level and corroding vast blockbuster terrain into nothing.

Every second of output could add massive landforms to The Continent. All of that power, however, was focused solely on attacking Belial. After forcing himself to sustain the assault for a long while, Bahamut finally reduced the intensity.

The attacked area erupted with various blockbuster lights and shattered Shard space. Yet the moment the pressure eased, something far more violent spread outward. What emerged was a blazing white Great Dragon radiating intense light and heat from every gap in its scales, with a circular shield around it packed with enormous energy.

"Your output is pretty fierce. If my King Ghidorah could not also raise a shield, I really would have been in trouble."

Belial calmly commented as he stood there. Earlier, he had used King Ghidorah's shield that absorbed energy and could reflect it back, and it was now filled with Bahamut's accumulated output. After using it, he realized it was not just about blocking damage, but that anything he, as a the Lord, considered harmful would be stopped.

Fine, that King Ghidorah was a god by design, so it leaned a bit toward the conceptual. Belial then looked teasingly at the slightly stunned Bahamut.

"What are you staring at? You had fun hitting me just now. Now I am giving it all back. Take it if you can!"

The three headed Great Dragon rose into the air, the Sun Wheel behind him shining brilliantly and spinning at high speed. Under true divine power, Authority of Decay reached even greater effectiveness. All the energy stored in the shields converged into a solid sun, enhanced further by Authority of Decay with a higher damage multiplier.

That was not the final goal. Belial was not only targeting Bahamut in front of him, but also the Fate domain that covered most of The Continent. He knew the domain had to be torn apart first, or the enemy would keep reviving.

"First we have to rip apart his domain, or he will keep coming back."

"Right, that is exactly how you deal with me. First you need to…"

With the cheers of two strategy team members behind him, Belial understood. Another mechanic heavy enemy, but now he was King Ghidorah himself, a mechanic heavy one too. Fueled by blazing faith, incoming damage from Bahamut, and his own stats and Authority bonuses, the sun's energy buildup made Bahamut stare wide eyed.

"You damn bastard! Take this!"

"Solar Storm Sword!"

Like a supernova, a spherical shockwave carrying unbearable heat expanded rapidly. Amid screams of flesh tearing and bodies burning, it manifested across the land. The corrupted Fate domain, tainted by Abyss Rift and drowned in blockbuster darkness, shattered and could not restrain the expanding sun, tearing open glowing white Rift until it exploded outward.

What spread was not just heat and shock, but something far more profound. Daylight reappeared, and Divine Kingdom unfolded. The sun hanging high in the sky, once again pulled back to noon, burst with intense light and completely covered the former Fate domain, forming a brief Daylight Divine Kingdom.

In countless ruined churches, murals and statues of women, elders, and a central bare sun released flashes of light. Gears and puppet strings were burned away by golden flames, and abnormalities caused by Fate disorder were calmed and frozen as if nothing had happened. Under the sun, no darkness could hide, and Daylight was merciless, causing many cultists and Abyss aligned forces to spontaneously combust.

Almost everything was frozen, and no one noticed, except for a few. These included Vera tightening bolts in a mech at home, Luna traveling toward human lands, Icelis eating with Nefit, and Fei'er Li quietly fixing the plot again. Some high level experts also sensed it, though they would rather not have.

"Pull yourself together. My phone bill… no, my faith! Even if this was saved up from years of Daylight, burning it like this is too much!"

Goddess wailed in pain. Without having reclaimed some faith along with Daylight last time, she would have gone bankrupt already. She cursed Elfido under her breath, then sighed, knowing she would not need it much longer since the Fate domain was broken.

Using Daylight Divine Kingdom for this instant did more than tear the domain apart. She rushed toward the sacred mountain behind the Daylight chapel, taking the chance to use it freely once. The rest could be left to the big boss to carry.

"Hmm, it is already gone? Fine, but it is enough for me to take this guy with me."

Thinking that, Belial looked down at Bahamut beneath him. All three heads were in miserable shape, flesh torn open, burned black, and smoking with blockbuster black fumes. Without domain support and Abyss backing, this incomplete Bahamut had not collapsed outright, which was impressive, though Belial himself was nearly out of power.

"But I still have enough strength to finish this phase."

"Final blow. Die, gravity beam!"

Golden dragon thunder erupted, pulverizing all three heads into dust and ashes, leaving nothing behind. Yet it was not over. The fading three headed golden Great Dragon raised his gaze to the sky.

The outer Abyss and domain were gone, but the inner core remained. From a distant void descended an egg like Bahamut wrapped in bones, the true body. The shell began to crack and be severed by Rend, peeling away as true hatching began.

"Crack..." "Clang!"

Pitch-black chains snapped one after another under Rend. The egg-shaped mass, tightly bound and piled from countless dragon corpses, descended from Void into reality like a slow-falling meteor. Its weight pressed on the world as it crossed the boundary between unreal and real.

In the air, marble steps, bronze constructs, revolving clock towers, and many symbols of Fate kept falling. They resembled a beautiful but collapsing sky-bound kingdom, shattering as they descended. The scene looked grand, but it was clearly breaking apart.

Most striking were three stone tablets that slowly sank into the egg. Along with them came shattered Shard, distorted space, and chaotic Laws, all falling together with twisted Fate as if the sky itself had collapsed. It felt like the entire structure was giving up and dropping down.

Fate Divine Kingdom collapsed into the world.

Unlike a certain unlucky fellow whose Divine Kingdom had exploded inside Void for unclear reasons, this time the Divine Kingdom was almost fully materialized. It crashed directly onto the surface of the Material Plane. There was no ambiguity about its presence.

A Divine Kingdom was the true domain of a god, not something like a casually deployed Domain Manifestation. Within a Divine Kingdom, a god was the unquestioned the Lord, the living embodiment of their Laws and concepts. This was not a borrowed battlefield, but a place where reality was rewritten.

Compared to that, a Domain Manifestation in the real world was only a way to set the stage. A Divine Kingdom was closer to turning on creation mode. Now, however, this entire Divine Kingdom was almost smashing itself down and ending up on the ground.

Why do this, you ask, and smash your own home base into your face. Turning a Divine Kingdom into ruins clearly weakened its effect. The reason was simple.

Because if they did not sell the house now, the game was already unwinnable.

There were two reasons. First, Belial had earlier unfolded a massive Daylight Divine Kingdom that nearly covered all of The Continent, instantly tearing apart the Fate Domain that had been used to siphon power. Their entire economy blew up, the Clone left outside were beaten senseless, and even the Silver Authority could not be recovered before heavy losses piled up.

That big shot who had solo killed Bahamut under the tower was still watching from below. On top of that, there was the second reason. Bahamut's account was stuck right in the middle.

Because the name had not been fully reclaimed, Bahamut remained lost in a voidlike dream, unable to recognize who he was. He was still trapped inside the egg, unable to complete the rebirth process. In other words, Fate never logged in and was stuck at the password screen, with the second half of the password hopelessly stuck on that Black Dragon.

In reality, they had no way to hammer down that monstrous puppet anymore. So they chose the second method. Since the Fate's Divine Kingdom could not be manifested without its master, they simply shoved the whole thing down.
