Chapter 66 - Chapter 66: The Council of Bloodlines – Seris World (Part 5)

Inside the Council of Bloodlines,

silence filled the vast hall.

It wasn't because of the powerful aura that appeared when the giant gate opened,

but because of the shock, the deep fear, and the realization of the trap they had all fallen into.

One of the medium-ranked bloodlines asked in a trembling voice:

"Why are the High Bloodlines here?"

Everyone's thoughts raced:

Was it because two members of the High Bloodlines had come?

Was the Dragon King so brave that he wanted to kill the Yeti King?

And when he involved them all in killing the Yeti King… did that mean that if they refused, they would die with him?

No… that wasn't it.

It was a trick.

When the High Bloodlines fight the Yeti King, a massive explosion will erupt, killing all those weaker than them.

The survivors will be left weakened, waiting to be slaughtered.

Then all the kings and heirs of the medium bloodlines will be wiped out,

their territories seized, and each bloodline forced to fight humans—

turning the medium bloodlines into nothing more than pawns in the High Bloodlines' hands.

A heavy silence fell as everyone began to piece the plan together.

There was a moment of bitter realization before some of them smirked darkly:

They had been completely deceived.

This was never just about the Yeti King—

all medium bloodlines were meant to fight humans.

Which meant one thing: they were all going to die.

Despair spread across their faces.

Some refused to accept it,

others were furious at their helplessness,

knowing their bloodlines would be wiped out in this so-called Holy War started by the Dragons.

Some laughed bitterly, some smiled in grim acceptance.

They understood the harsh truth:

The difference between medium bloodlines and high bloodlines wasn't a simple gap—

it was an entire world separating them.

The power of a single High Bloodline individual was enough to shake an entire medium-ranked world.

And now, there were two of them standing here.

Their gazes shifted to the smiling Dragon King,

who looked at them as though they were already corpses.

Then they turned to the Yeti King, expecting fear, maybe denial—

but to their surprise, the Yeti King was also smiling,

looking at the High Bloodlines with pure arrogance,

as if they were nothing before him.

Everyone thought the same thing:

Why is the Yeti King smiling so arrogantly?

They all knew the difference between medium and high bloodlines.

Could the Yeti King have something that could rival the High Bloodlines?

Some gave faint, hopeless smiles—

but despair still weighed on their hearts.

Still, a small spark of hope flickered in them.

They chose silence.

Remaining still, like ghosts or side characters in someone else's story,

waiting to see what would unfold.

Two figures entered through the colossal gate.

One was a towering giant, taller and more massive than any beast.

The other looked like an ordinary man, barely 173 cm tall.

Despite their striking difference in appearance,

it was clear they were equals in power.

The giant had to shrink himself slightly just to fit through the gate,

yet even after shrinking, he was still taller and more imposing than anyone present.

They entered quietly together,

but to the other bloodlines, it felt as if time itself had stopped.

When they reached the center,

the man of average height spoke calmly:

"We, the High Bloodlines, are here to save the medium territories from a tyrant—

by agreement with all the medium bloodlines."

Shock ran through the medium bloodlines.

At that moment, they understood why the Dragon King had involved them:

to have a valid reason to summon the High Bloodlines—

a strong justification if questioned by the Supreme Bloodlines.

But they stayed silent.

They knew they had no chance to speak out.

Even if they did, all the medium bloodlines here would kill them on the spot.

So they remained quiet, like chess pieces with no will of their own,

watching the story unfold without the power to interfere.

The man of average height glanced at them.

He understood their silence but didn't care—

he intended to kill them all anyway.

Then his eyes turned to the Yeti King.

A strange sense of caution filled him.

He didn't know why,

but his instincts told him something was wrong.

He trusted his instincts.

He looked calmly at the Yeti King,

then turned to the Dragon King and said:

"Tell us in detail why you summoned us."

The Dragon King answered,

appearing exhausted, as though fresh from a fierce battle:

"Very well, I'll tell you. Thank you for coming."

He looked at them and continued:

"It is an honor to have a Giant from the High Human Bloodline,

and a member of the High Vampire Bloodline as well."

He sighed heavily, letting his worry show:

"The Yeti King, being the strongest in the medium territories, does whatever he pleases.

He steals resources from everyone, kills at will,

takes the women of other bloodlines, and starts wars between territories.

He ignores his duty as a regional leader,

and forbids others from exploring the ancient ruins that are their right to explore.

He enslaves them, forcing them to kneel before him—

just like this servant here."

He gestured to the kneeling Ice Rabbit King.

"I tried to be fair, to make him admit his crimes and compensate everyone,

but he refused.

We fought just moments before you arrived, and I was defeated.

I feel ashamed that I could not stop the Yeti King and fulfill my duty as Council leader."

Everyone was shocked.

They had all been here and had seen that none of this had happened.

The Ice Rabbit King slowly stood from his kneeling position

and moved to stand behind the Yeti King.

Even he was stunned—

his own humiliation had been turned into a tool to vilify the Yeti King.

The medium-bloodline kings turned to their ministers and asked:

"Did we lose resources?

Were any of our women taken by the Yeti King?"

The ministers replied in even greater shock:

"No! None of that ever happened.

The Yeti King only blocked one single ruin from being explored, nothing more."

Then they asked again:

"Has the Yeti King started any wars between our territories?"

The ministers looked at one another:

"No. The medium territories have been at peace for two hundred years."

The kings nodded, confirming the facts,

then turned back to the Dragon King with serious expressions:

"Did the Dragon King really fight the Yeti King just now?

Were our eyes deceived?"

The attendants shouted through tears:

"No! He didn't fight him—he was afraid of him!"

Now there was no doubt.

Their information was correct.

They all glared at the Dragon King and said one thing:

"How dare you!"

The Vampire spoke furiously:

"Is there truly a tyrant like this?

How have the medium territories even survived until now?"

Then he looked around and said coldly:

"It seems the High Bloodlines have neglected and wronged you all.

On behalf of all High Bloodlines, I apologize."

But the medium bloodlines thought silently:

We were living in peace…

You are the ones who want war.

We don't want the High Bloodlines interfering in our territories.

Yet they could not say a word.

They were just spectators, unable to choose,

forced to watch as their story was written by others.

The Giant then spoke, his deep, thunderous voice

so powerful that the medium bloodlines covered their ears:

"What do you say, Yeti King, about these accusations of evil deeds?"

All eyes turned to the Yeti King, waiting for his answer.

His next words would decide the fate of every being in the medium territories.
