Chapter 164 - Chapter 164: Fate/Zero Chapter 2 Premieres! (Part 6)

The movie continues.

On the large bridge in Fuyuki City, Ryuunosuke Uryuu was currently jumping around, waving his arms and yelling in manic excitement.

"Amazing, amazing! That's just incredible!"

"Go, Lord Bluebeard! Crush them! Kill them! This place is a toy box for the gods!"

"I'll never be bored again. I'll never have to go through the trouble of killing people myself. From now on, people will die one after another—crushed into meat paste, minced into pulp, blown into pieces, eaten alive, dead dead dead until none are left!"

"I'll finally find out what color the intestines of blond humans are, what a Black man's liver feels like. And all the organs I haven't seen yet—I bet I'll get to see them all! Every single day, all over the world, more fascinating things will keep happening!"

As he danced and cheered in his twisted joy, he shouted support for his ally, now rampaging through the city in the form of a monstrous beast.

But the very next moment, Ryuunosuke felt himself pushed back fBeastkinefully, as if by an invisible hand.

What's more, the people around him, upon making eye contact, shrieked and backed away in fear—as if the strange and terrifying phenomena unfolding in the river and sky were now happening right before their eyes.

"What's going on? Hey! What is it?"

Unable to comprehend what was happening, Ryuunosuke turned to ask someone nearby what was going on. That's when he suddenly felt something warm and slippery under the hand touching his abdomen.

"Wow..."

He looked down and saw pure, undiluted red—unmixed with any other color.

Ryuunosuke's pale lips curled instinctively into a faint smile.

"So that's what it was... no wonder I could never find it."

"The thing I've been searching for... it wasn't out there. It was in my own guts all along..."

"Finally found it…"

"Geez… if it was inside me this whole time, why didn't you just tell me earlier…"

As he finished speaking, a bullet fired from several hundred meters away pierced straight through his skull.

Everything above his nose was completely obliterated, yet that blissful smile still lingered on his lips.

Elsewhere, in a hidden cabin aboard a ship, Kiritsugu Emiya lowered his gun. He turned his gaze to the monstrous sea creature that continued its rampage—it hadn't vanished, and had in fact grown even more violent.

He slowly opened his communicator.

"Caster's Master has been eliminated. But the monster he summoned still hasn't disappeared. That means it's not relying on his mana—it's self-sustaining. It must be completely annihilated."

"And to do that, normal Noble Phantasms—even anti-army class ones—won't cut it. It'll take an anti-fortress class weapon, something powerful enough to obliterate it in a single strike."

"Right now, only Saber has that kind of power. But her Noble Phantasm can't be used—her right hand was wounded by Lancer's cursed spear."

"There's only one option left."

"Let's see just how far their so-called knightly honor can take them."

. . . . . .

The sudden series of intense scenes made the audience tense up all at once.

Just as a brutal battle was unfolding, the perspective sharply switched to Kiritsugu's cold, venomous view. Though people felt immense satisfaction at seeing a depraved killer like Ryuunosuke die, they couldn't help but feel a chill down their spines.

"Ryuunosuke Uryuu is finally dead. A guy like him, with no basic sense of morality, probably would've felt more at home in The Garden of Sinners than in Fate. He just felt out of place here."

"Seriously, he made me sick. I'm so glad he's gone."

"He really died satisfied though. I don't think anyone else in this movie has died with such a smile on their face."

"What kind of plan does Kiritsugu Emiya have now? And he said Saber has an anti-fortress-class Noble Phantasm—what could that be? Isn't Saber's Noble Phantasm just the sword she's holding?"

"No idea, we'll just have to keep watching."

The audience was fully hooked. From start to now, the movie has been one long, intense thrill ride, with spectacular fight scenes delivering a true visual feast.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the theater, Imperial Knight Commander Wycliffe spoke with disdain:

"Knightly honor? Hah, those are nothing but a rotting concept invented by the nobles of a bygone age. What's the point? General, do you believe in that nonsense?"

General Wilhelm gave a wry smile and replied,

"I don't believe in it either—but that doesn't mean I don't respect it."

"Hah! What's there to respect? Do you think the enemy on the battlefield will show you respect while killing you?"

"Times change, and so do mindsets. Adapting to the situation—that's the reason the Imperial Army remains undefeated."

"You're not wrong. But that doesn't stop me from thinking it's a stupid ideal."

The two highest-ranking Imperial officers spoke bluntly, and none of the other knights around them dared to respond.

Liya, though tempted to argue, lowered her head in silence, restrained by her position as Vice-commander.

Only Emperor Hubbard seemed genuinely intrigued by the conversation, leaning in to discuss the topic further with General Wilhelm.

. . . . . .

In a quiet corner of the theater, the Beastkin Oracle watched the screen while reflecting on the story so far.

Though he wanted to enjoy the film as simple entertainment, his role as the Beastkin Kingdom's Oracle made him unable to relax. He focused intently, mentally reconstructing the events from his own perspective.

In the story, the summoning of Heroic Spirits and the conflict between mages might appear fantastical or fictional—but he sensed a strange realism behind it all.

That realism seeped out from small details: the way the mages thought like modern tacticians, the sheer might of the Heroic Spirits in combat—all of it stirred an inexplicable unease in him.

"How in the world is a terrifying demon god like that supposed to be defeated...?"

He murmured to himself.

The Beastkin Oracle knew that all his current doubts would be answered the moment that question was resolved.

Only then, he believed, would he truly understand the real strength behind the Human Empire—and finally grasp the true gap between the Beastkin Kingdom and their human rivals.

. . . . . .

Imperial Mage Academy.

The mages there were also engaged in heated discussion, theorizing how such a terrifying sea monster could be defeated.

"Maybe a Tier 6 forbidden spell? Like Skyburst, Eternal Storm, or Glacial Apocalypse?"

"But Fate/Zero doesn't have any Arch Mages—how would anyone cast a forbidden spell?"

"Could a Heroic Spirit's Noble Phantasm really destroy that thing? Iskandar's Ionian Hetairoi already felt absurd… surely it can't get crazier than that?"

"That Gilgamesh guy is so smug, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he had some secret weapon that could do it."

"But Kiritsugu said Saber is the key to defeating it?"

"No way! Saber's just a swordswoman—you're telling me she can slash out something equivalent to a Tier 6 spell?"

"Hahahaha, that's insane…"

Voices buzzed across the academy as speculation ran wild. But in the end, everyone's eyes were glued to the screen, eagerly awaiting the next big reveal in the unfolding story.
