Chapter 77 - Chapter 77: Separation and Destruction (Part 2)

Dante: "As for the viper, viper of the sea, you can pass this way; those in front will eat a lot, and those in the back will stay behind, tras, tras, tras." He sang as he used the flying boat to travel to the next island he had marked on the log pose.

Isis: "Hey, Dante, why don't you dedicate yourself to writing songs instead of being lazy when we finish this trip?"

Sulli: "Yeah, I've heard several of your songs with that horrible voice, and with someone else singing it, it could be a hit."

These guys really piss me off; they don't know I force my voice to sound that way since I'm not singing for them but to pass my boredom.

Also, the question arose of what I was going to do once all this was over, and my plan for the future is to find a very rich queen, without a king, who will keep me as her court mistress, since being a king doesn't interest me much.

This is an excuse not to say I'm leaving this universe; it seemed strange to say something like that. But it would be funny to say something like, "Bye, you useless bunch of people, I'm going to another universe without crazy, powerful women," while a portal opens and I step into this one.

It wouldn't be a bad idea; it would drive them all crazy. Like I've reached enlightenment, and now I'm traveling through the multiverse. How could I not have thought of that before?

Dante: "What if I become a singer and settle in the city where your clinic will be, move next door, and play concerts all day, every hour?"

Sulli: "Anything but that," he said, turning pale at the thought.

Dante: "While I'm making Arthur my drummer, he's still deciding what to do with his useless life."

Arthur: "Sorry."

Dante: "Sorry, maybe you're boring, lame, pathetic, and useless, but never a good gambler."

I saw him visibly frustrated and exhausted, as he's quite used to my sarcasm, Trini's.

Trini: "I thought you were going to leave with Doll; the last time you were together, you had quite a few moments together, plus some awkward nights. I didn't know you liked being tied up."

Arthur: "She suggested I try new things, and it was only once; you're a pervert for watching that stuff," he said, very embarrassed.

Dante: "I don't know why she wants us not to know about your weird games with Doll, when you started screaming like crazy when Doll took the dildo and—"

Arthur: "HAAAAAA, don't remind me; it was the worst experience I've ever had. I don't know what her idea was to do all that."

Those are the consequences of having a big-ass goth girlfriend with a Hello Kitty complex; they give you character development.

Sulli: "Yeah, but let's leave that in the past, since it was only once and it didn't happen again," she said, leaving a small silence. "Right?"

Arthur: "Yeah, it was only once, and I want to remember that I didn't know I was going to do that," he said, somewhat annoyed.

The ship was filled with a somewhat awkward silence, which is normal, considering the topic we were talking about.

Isis: "And on a scale of one to ten, how much did it hurt?" she asked Arthur.

Arthur: "Not that we were going to drop the subject," she said, almost shouting at him.

...

It's been a month since we began our journey, the last journey. And well, what can I say?

Pirates ravaging islands, bandits here and there, people who need help, donating money to orphanages. I got to the point where I stopped giving money to the orphanages and started spending entire days teaching them how to be self-sufficient with a garden and about four goats. Giving them money doesn't solve anything, because the money will run out and they'll go back to square one.

Right now, I'm digging dirt, while everyone—and I mean everyone—is watching me: the children, the caretakers, and the other rats.

Dante: "Couldn't you help me, even a little?"

Trini: "But Dante, it's your moral obligation to show them how it's done. Besides, they can see that it only takes effort to achieve something, even if I'm alone." She said, holding a sun chair, sunglasses, a parasol, and raspberry juice.

Dante: "That only works when I'm alone, and that's not the case here."

Arthur: "Calm down, Dante, you're done; it'll end; do it for the children."

Dante: "Do it for the children," he says. He still has three girls with Amazon Lily that you've never seen, you bad father." I grumbled through my teeth in a low voice.

The only one who heard me was Trini, who glared at Arthur, since she couldn't believe he'd never seen any of the three girls he had with the Amazons during that awkward moment years ago.

Before doing anything else, Sulli arrived with Isis, along with a young man about 17 years old; he had a notebook and a camera hanging around his neck.

Sulli was in the village helping with some sick people and checking the instruments, making sure they were good, up to date, and in good working order. Isis was at the orphanage trying to make some food with what she's learned these past few months.

Sulli: "Hey, Dante, we have someone who wants to join us."

Dante: "What?" I said, stopping what I was doing. I walked over to where they were, taking off my sunhat, and looked at the brat in front of me. "And who are you supposed to be?"

???: "Hello, Mr. Hero, it's nice to meet you; I'm a big fan of yours." "My name is Alfonso, and I'm here to document your last trip."

I looked at Sulli for more information, but he just shook his head.

Dante: "And why should you join us? The last time I trusted someone, I lost an eye." I said, opening one of my eyes wide.

Alfonso: "But, sir, you've never lost an eye." He said, a little fearfully.

Dante: "That's a figure of speech; besides, how do you know I've never lost an eye? Trini lost an eye on a mission, and now she has a prosthetic one."

Alfonso: "It's because I came from Morgans. I was chosen by lot to go to you guys to record everything you do, in addition to taking photos and videos. Before coming, Morgans gave me a lot of information about you to avoid trouble, but I know he's never lost an eye, but he has two scars on his body."

I could say he's a stalker, but I know perfectly well that bird knows all those things and more.

Dante: "Let me call that bird; finish this," I said into the air to pass the hoe to Sulli, who looked at me strangely, as if she didn't know what to do.

Sulli: "Wait, why do I have to do this?"

Dante: "Do it for the kids, okay?" I said, walking to the cabin where we were staying, since he had the den den mushi there.

...

In the end, what the brat said was true: Morgans was the bad thing, so he could record everything for my bibliographical book he was writing. His idea was that this would finish the book. So, at his request, I accepted Alfonso on our trip.

And right now, he's huddled in a corner, watching Arthur and Isis argue.

Arthur: "How could you think, woman, to put sugar in the broth? It's salt, not sugar."

Isis: "I had put too much salt in it, and I added sugar to counteract the salt; sugar is positive and salt is negative; opposites oppose each other."

Arthur: "You know, whatever you're talking about, it doesn't work that way, because you didn't ask Dante. Even I know that if you put too much salt in, you add more potatoes."

Isis: "What are you talking about? You're just talking nonsense. I think you need to stick another dildo up your ass to get your brain working properly again."

Arthur: "What did we say about going over that topic again? Do you want me to start talking about your tendencies alone in the mirror and answer your own questions?"

Isis: "So we have a man of dubious sexuality."

Arthur: "Say something more, lesbian."

Ha, he called her a lesbian; this is mainly because everyone knows Isis is still a virgin, and since she hasn't had sex with men, I jokingly said she was a wanker.

Trini and Sulli were in their own world; Sulli was massaging Trini's feet. He looked dark-circled and very tired, while Trini looked radiant and was reading a magazine she found in the kingdom we're in, next to a giant cake she got for free in exchange for not returning to the bakery, since she'd almost ruined the man's business with her criticism of the place.

And what was I doing? Well, I was writing a new book. I was writing the Star Wars saga my way, since I don't remember much about the details, but what I do remember is the "I am your father" part and the guy falling into the void and surviving.

Out of nowhere, I saw Arthur collapse to the ground, unconscious, his face purple, and a large amount of wind disappearing around him.

Isis: "Ha, since my opponent can't argue anymore, I win by default."

Alfonso ran to check on him.

Alfonso: "He's still alive because no one went to check on him."

Isis: "I'm pretty skilled with my fruit, and I know how to use it so I don't end up killing someone; besides, this isn't the first time this has happened to him."

Alfonso: "So this isn't the first time you've done this to him."

She just remained silent while Alfonso jotted this information down in his notebook. What she doesn't know is that he's already done this trick to Sulli and me, but that's another story for another day.

...

It's been three months since we started the trip; with the addition of the new temporary recruit, things have brightened up. You always appreciate someone new to bother, especially if they can't defend themselves. This is probably bullying. nah, how could I even think of that? I'm just bothering him a little, very little.

Alfonso: "Hey, how much longer do I have to hold up the clothes to dry?" he said, his arms dangling outside the boat, holding a sheet, one of those that weigh a lot when it's wet.

Dante: "Just wait a little longer; you're almost there."

Alfonso: "But you told me that an hour ago."

Arthur: "You're counting time in your head. Why would you do that?"

Isis: "You should use your mind to realize that the sheet dried a long time ago, instead of using it to calculate whether an hour has passed or not."

Alfonso: "WHAT?!" he said, almost dropping the sheet.

Arthur: "CAREFUL, IT'S FALLING!" He said, almost shouting, causing Alfonso to catch him in time.

Alfonso: "Dante, you're evil. Are you sure you're a hero?"

Dante: "Sadly, I'm the closest thing to a hero in this world."

Trini: "Maybe you'll let them bother you, brat. You need to build character and defend yourself."

Dante: "What Trini says is true; you have to know how to fight and not let yourself be trampled on. We're just bothering you, but other people will abuse you and do worse things. Still, I imagine that submissive Morgans are better, since they don't refuse his requests; they just obey."

Alfonso stared at the sea, as if staring into space; it's better to let him think carefully about what he's doing with his life.

Dante: "Now, changing the subject, you see how much fatter you are." And when I said that, I felt like a pillow hit my head.

Isis: "It's true, we can already see the baby's growth, although it's very superficial. Do you have any idea what its name will be?"

Trini: "Well, we decided that if it's a boy, I'll name him, and if it's a girl, Sulli will."

Sulli: "If it's a girl, her name will be Sullivana," she said, only to receive two pillows on her head.

Isis: "What an ugly name."

Trini: "I agree with you."

I sensed they were going to continue talking nonsense, so I interrupted them.

Dante: "You two better relax, since we're almost at our destination."

Arthur: "What kingdom is this?"

Sulli: "If I'm not mistaken, it's the Ringo Kingdom."

Isis: "That means we'll have to have another boring conference with another king."

Dante: "Most likely."

And with that, we arrived at the kingdom without any problems, but the moment I set foot there, I stopped dead in my tracks; I already felt something was wrong here.

Trini: "Dante," she said to me. I looked at her and sensed that she felt the same as me.

I saw how everyone was preparing for anything, because when I felt something like that, something bad always happened.

I saw how Alfonso was on the outside, unaware of the situation.

Dante: "Brat, you'd better keep your distance and keep your head down."

Alfonso: "They don't want to be with me; I did something bad to them." Poor thing.

Dante: "It's nothing like that; I just feel something bad is going to happen, so from a distance you'll be able to run and escape more easily."

He just looked at me and nodded determinedly. I just smiled at him and stroked his hair, ruffling it as I did.

And with all that ready, we continued on our way; People were all around us, almost preventing us from moving. I'm surprised at how quickly word got out that we were here.

After forcing our way to the king's castle, I was surprised to find the king already there, an ugly old man. Maybe not old, but with a hunchback, it's not hard to mistake him for an old man.

What drove me crazy is a fact. He had everything planned, so they knew we were going to be here, but why would they do something like this?

I looked straight ahead from where we were to where the king was waiting for us. On the path were 10 people in cloaks, whose faces or other appearances couldn't be seen.

Ah, I see. This is too weird—a trap. Now, who could these guys be? From the underworld, or maybe...?

???: "It's a pleasure to meet you, sir. I am King Nashi." He said, kneeling down as if I were royalty.

I went to where he was and lifted him up.

Dante: "You don't have to kneel, King Nashi; it's not necessary."

Nashi: "Don't you know it would be a great disrespect not to do that to a Tenryuubito?"

Dante: "But I'm no longer a World Noble, so you shouldn't do that." Before anything else, I felt Trini appear beside me with a scared face.

Dante: "Dante is evil," she said, grabbing the shoulder.

That's when I saw what was going to happen, and before I could do anything, I heard what the king said.

Nashi: "But that's not what your father told me, Saint Dante."

At that moment, I felt one of the hooded figures standing behind us, ready to strike.

I grabbed Trini and moved her as smoothly as I could, managing to avoid the blow but not the shockwave. It dragged us both.

At that moment, I saw the fist shatter the entire ground where we were standing, completely shattered. I saw the figure, wearing full armor but with the face of a dragon and the tail of a lizard. The armor was white with red and gold lines, with details in those two colors.

Nashi: "Saint Ares, he doesn't plan to destroy the entire kingdom."

When I heard that name, I felt something inside me, something I had forgotten back when I had finished the deal, and I waited. I waited for them to come for me, but they never came.

Ares: "What I do with this kingdom is my business. Don't interfere in my business, insect." He said, looking at the king. I raised my arm, pointing at him, opened my palms, and from there, a ball of energy appeared. Suddenly, it was launched at Nashi, killing him instantly and generating a huge explosion.

Dante: "GET OUT OF HERE NOW," I yelled to the others.

???: "Why are you leaving so fast? Aren't you going to introduce me to your friends, Dante?" I recognized that voice immediately.

At that moment, the remaining nine figures jumped out and surrounded us in a circle, each removing their cloaks, revealing they were CP0 members, except for one.

Dante: "What are you doing here, Walt?" "I'm waiting for Alex or Dianna, not you." Standing in front was a man with brown hair and black eyes, a little shorter than me.

Walt: "I'm here as a future holy knight; you could call it a field exercise."

Before anything else could be said, Ares, in his armor, stood in front of me about 5 meters away. And with one movement, the armor would be destroyed, revealing Ares's appearance in all its splendor.

A somewhat old man, about 50 or 60 years old, but that doesn't mean he's weak; just tell that to Whitebeard or Garp; long blond hair tied in a ponytail, dark blue eyes.

Everyone stood still, no one moved, the tension was at its peak, and the silence didn't help.

Dante: "You're getting old. I wonder if you're more grumpy now than you were a few years ago."

Ares: "And you haven't changed much, immature and sharp-tongued, or I could say you only behaved that way with us, because you're not like that with the scum of the world below."

Dante: "I've always thought scum is nicer."

Ares: "I see."

Silence returned.

Dante: "What kind of armor is that? A Devil Fruit?"

Ares: "Actually, yes, I obtained it after trying to challenge Whitebeard a while back; it was originally the Ryu Ryu no Mi: Dragon model."

Dante: "Was it?"

Ares: "Yeah, Vegapunk modified it so it could learn to replicate the powers of Devil Fruits, so the dragon went from flesh and blood to a killing machine, literally."

Walt: "Yeah, this is all very well, family reunion, but I'm getting bored now. When do we start slaughtering all this trash?"

I fumed at Walt, and while I was at it, I grabbed the handle of the Fusion Sword for just the slightest hint of help.

Ares: "Yeah, that's it," he said, scratching his hair. "So, you're coming voluntarily."

Dante: "What will happen to them?"

Ares: "You can honor us by being our special slave so you can practice with them and create better Holy Knights." In other words, become punching bags.

Dante: "I refuse."

Ares: "I figured as much," he said, putting his armor back on.

I don't think peace was ever an option. I know how strong Ares is; he didn't compete as leader of the Holy Knights for nothing. Only I can face him.

Drawing my sword from my side, I lunged at Ares to get him out of here and waited for Arthur and the others to do what was planned when this happened.

As I dragged Ares away, he turned, causing me to pass by. He took distance, and violent energy generated from his fists. When they joined together, he sent it at me like a large laser beam.

The people had already escaped when Ares killed the king, but they hadn't escaped very far, so I dodged that attack, even if it hit someone. So I used my sword to deflect the attack upward with all my strength.

Ares: "I see you continue to seek the lives of these insects; I'll never be able to see how strong you are now, and you won't be a challenge," he said as he finished his attack. And with that, wings sprouted from her back, and she flew swiftly into the sky.

And with a laser beam from her fist, she destroyed all the ships in the harbor, except for the Skíðblaðnir, since it wasn't in port, and in the process, the ships that were escaping, full of people.

Dante: "STOP!!" I yelled, launching myself at Geppo, but he just opened his mechanical mouth, from which a cannon erupted, followed by an energy blast, which hit me full-on, knocking me to the ground.

Third-Person POV

Dante fell to the ground with a huge explosion. This gave Ares time for his next attack. I generated a large ball of energy and lifted him into the air.

From here, I began to jump smaller balls of energy, which began to fall on the kingdom like meteorites, killing almost everyone in the kingdom and leaving it in ruins in just seconds.

With that done, Ares went downstairs, only to see Dante, his clothes in tatters, glaring at him with hatred.

Ares: "Now you'll have no more trash to bother you in our fight, my son."
