(Note: Regarding One Piece Film: Strong World, I feel like Shiki was nerfed for the sake of the plot, since he's a former Rocks pirate; he should use haki. So he'll have both armor and observation, but he won't be that strong either, since he was defeated by Luffy pre-time skip, and that takes away a lot of prestige and individual strength, even if it's not canon.)
Maylin: "Are you sure about all this?" she asked, a little fearfully, and I understood. If we failed, the village they were in would suffer Shiki's wrath.
She was behind me since she couldn't go as fast as we did; we also couldn't go that fast with her here with us.
Dante: "Relax, Grandma, we have the means to punish Shiki and end the overexploitation of her people." She was catching up with my words.
We were running around the island where the bar where Shiki's allies met was located. We were all there except Hun, who stayed on the island where Maylin's village was to warn us if anything happened.
Maylin: "We're almost there."
Dante: "Understood, Isis, they're all yours." She just promoted me.
We continued along the path in front of the bar as Isis stopped abruptly a good distance away.
Maylin: "Will she be okay?"
Dante: "Yeah, there's nothing much to worry about. She's very strong, so much so that with her fighting Shiki we'd definitely win, but she needs to get rid of the discomfort and be ready when the island starts to fall, since the idea is to keep it as intact as possible." I saw her unsure of my answer, so I decided to add something. "Besides, Isis is the second strongest member of the team, after me."
Maylin: "Really?" I just nodded.
That's the magic of Devil Fruits. It's the same reason why Shiki has such a bounty on his head—not because of his strength, but because of his Devil Fruit. Being able to use it like that makes it difficult for even Garp or Roger to fight him. It's not that he's that strong, but that one-on-one there's no way to catch him. That's the advantage of being able to fly.
Third-person POV
Isis stared at the bar, waiting for the others to get far enough away. When she no longer heard the others, she made a movement with her hand, and suddenly, the bar door suddenly opened; in the process, all the windows in the bar were destroyed.
The bar had been engulfed by a small, powerful tornado for a few seconds.
She knew there were innocent people inside the bar, so she didn't destroy the place with a single attack; she only did that to get the pirates to leave. And so they did.
Many pirates rushed out to see what had caused this sudden, massive hurricane. But instead of seeing an anomaly or a large, repentant cloud whipping around the place, they only saw a woman wearing a halter top, a long sweatshirt, tights-like pants, and sneakers.
Pirate 1: "Ha, she's just a woman, a false alarm," said one.
Pirate 2: "What a beauty! It would be a waste to leave it lying there," said another, followed by laughter and agreement.
It was as if Isis's presence erased the fact of the wind gust that hit the bar, as if it hadn't happened.
Isis frowned and glared at all the pirates in front of her. Getting into a battle stance, she raised her fist and, with a punch in the air, sent a gust of wind that hit the first pirate who spoke, sending him flying into the bar for a second.
Isis: "Just a bunch of weaklings." And with that, Isis lit her lighter, much to the pirates' anger.
All the pirates in front of her pulled out various weapons, including pistols and sabers, and charged at her.
Isis did nothing; she just stood still.
Pirate 3: "Ha, she froze in fear. You were just tempting death." And with a vertical slash, the pirate cuts Isis in half.
The pirate, happy with his achievement, turns his gaze to Isis, only to open his mouth as he sees her upper body disintegrate in the air and reform completely.
Isis said nothing, just quickly approached and delivered a powerful blow with wind, sending him high into the air. A downward movement of her hand generated a gust of wind in the air, sending him swiftly and violently to the ground, cracking the ground in the process, with blood spurting out.
The remaining pirates were shocked by what they saw, especially one fact.
Random pirate: "He has a Logia Devil Fruit," she said to her companions.
Isis just looked at her prey and gave a terrifying smile to her opponents.
Isis: "Wind Attack: Hydra," and suddenly, behind Isis, they discovered multiple dragon heads that began attacking the pirates.
They tried their best to defend themselves, but they weren't skilled enough to stop the attack. Others tried to escape, but Isis wouldn't allow it.
Isis: "Wind Attack: Tornado Barrage"
The wind suddenly became violent, and the air began to swirl, and like lightning, a wind blade struck the escaping pirates. Multiple thunderbolts appeared on the sides of the place, sucking everything in and returning it to the battlefield.
Isis: "Defense Technique: Dome." With those words, a wind dome enveloped the bar where the young women of the town were working. This way, it would prevent the pirates from returning to the bar.
Random Pirate: "You let your guard down," he said, trying to hit Trini with a cane.
But before she could strike, a gust of wind was generated, preventing it from hitting Isis.
She didn't see into the future how she was being beaten, but she did sense the man's murderous intent, so she generated another wind barrier around herself.
Isis saw that there was a sea stone at the tip of the staff; if she had struck it, the entire attack she was carrying out would have stopped abruptly, and she would have been at the mercy of these men.
Thinking about that, I remember how she felt the day she lost her family, the day she met Dante and the others.
Isis: "Wind Attack: Slash." And with her arm extended, she made an up-and-down motion. Moments later, the pirate holding the weapon split in half, dying instantly.
The pirates standing around her looked at her in fear and dread.
With the help of the wind, she grabbed the staff to prevent anyone else from using it against her. Since only the tip was covered with sea stone, she could hold it without any problem.
Isis: "Who's next?" she said, heaving the staff into her arms and gesturing with her hand as if asking someone else to face her.
* Scene change *
In a room with a throne, Shiki could be seen sitting, looking at a book, only for one of his men to come running in a panic.
Scientist: "Mr. Shiki, it's reported that the bar where the Alliance pirates were staying has suddenly been attacked."
Shiki: "What? Show images." At that moment, on some monitors near Shiki, wind dragons and tornadoes could be seen attacking the place from a distance. "Because we can't see any closer."
Scientist: "The cameras around us were severely damaged by the wind; the closest ones are these." He said as all the monitors changed images. Until one of them saw five people curiously running in the direction they were.
Shiki: "Wait, show the previous image again."
And with that, the scientist rewound the video and froze the image, showing the five people who had infiltrated the island.
At that moment, Indigo, who was standing next to him, began gesturing with his hands as if trying to explain something.
Shiki: "What are you trying to say? I don't understand," Shiki said, somewhat frustrated.
Indigo: "That's the band of the great hero Dante, who is said to have the strength of an admiral."
Everyone: "WHAT, CAN YOU TALK?"
Shiki: "Wait, you said Dante," he said, turning back to the monitor. "It's actually Dante and his group. This is bad news. The only large-scale fighters are Scalert, you, and me, and Dante will face me no matter what." At that moment, he began to think about his options. "Ten, get Chimera 3 ready for action."
Indigo: "Are you sure, boss, this is a good idea?"
Shiki: "This is what it was made for; hopefully, to release it where only they're there, so we can avoid them attacking us."
* Scene Change *
Maylin: "We're already at Shiki's base. There are several important sections; among them are the main sauce and the laboratory." "I'm not sure where the latter is, but I know where the kitchen is."
Dante: "Don't worry. We should expect an attack when we enter, so stay here, Grandma," he said, lifting Maylin off his back. "Wait here until Sulli returns with the rescued people. Once that happens, go to one of the enemy ships so they can leave. Once all this is over, the idea is for them to return to their islands."
Maylin: "Understood."
And with that, the four entered Shiki's base. The place was empty, with no pirates or anything like that.
Trini: "How strange."
Dante: "What's going on?"
Trini: "There are three places where there are people; I sense one at the top of the building, another at the base of the underground, and a small group of three people and something strange that looks like an animal."
Arthur: "All of this gives me a bad feeling."
Sulli: "We should find the people first to get them out of the building; Shiki will most likely use everything he finds to attack. We must prevent anyone from getting hurt."
Dante: "You're right, let's go to the underground side first; that's where the lab should be."
Arthur: "How do you know?"
Dante: "It can't be at the top of the base, and the other place has very few people, so that's the one we're ruling out."
Trini: "Shit, the creature that was in the isolated group killed the people next to them and now it's coming full speed at—" I couldn't continue speaking, as the wall the creature was coming from was destroyed, revealing a being that is a mixture of several animals.
Dante: "What the hell is that, a minotaur?" he said, looking at the creature. "It looks like one, but it's not," he corrected himself, realizing how the creature was made.
The creature had the head of a bull, complete with horns, but that's where the bull part ends. It had the torso of a gorilla, the arms of a lion, the legs of a horse, and the tail of a scorpion.
Before anyone could say anything else, the creature moved toward Trini to strike at her, but before it could, Dante was ready to cut it in half with the Fusion Sword. But to everyone's surprise, the creature switched targets and, with its fist, hit Dante's sword, causing him to fall back.
The creature had a wound on its hand, but that wasn't what surprised everyone. Two things surprised everyone. First, the fact that it could repel Dante so easily, given his strength, and second, that its fist was currently imbued with Haki.
With great speed, the creature tried to slash Dante with its claws, but Dante dodged them. The claws cut through everything as if it were air. In the midst of its attacks, Arthur went behind it to try to attack the creature, but it turned around to try to punch Arthur.
Trini: "DODGE IT NOW!" she shouted at Arthur, but Arthur could only place his spear in the middle of the blow. But in the midst of this, Dante appeared, locking the creature in a headlock, forcing the blow to land on Arthur.
The moment the fist hit the ground, a small shockwave was generated, destroying everything around it.
Everything was destroyed in seconds, generating pressure from the impact of the fist thrown far away. And as the seconds passed, everyone was seen far away, being dragged by the wave, the only thing at the center of it being the creature on the ground full of cracks, its fist buried in the ground.
Dante: "Shit, this is serious. There's only one explanation for such power: being a being crazed by battle but with its battle instinct intact. It reminds me of a berserker from a story long ago," he said in a whisper. "Get out of here; continue with the plan without me. I'll get rid of this hideous creature and come back to you."
They nodded, leaving Dante alone with the creature. It was just pulling out its arm embedded in the ground, breaking it instantly.
Dante: "Armasu Haki, Observation Haki, Devil Fruit—something tells me I need to add something to its genetics to give it the battle instinct of a warrior."
And he was right. Dante had guessed all the being's components, but he was missing the essentials. Shiki had captured a pirate so Indigo could experiment on him with animal parts, replacing them one by one, creating the Chimera experiment.
He had tried twice so far, but these creatures are completely irrational, much more so than those on his island, so he had no choice but to throw them into the sea to drown. Right now, before Dante, is the third attempt to create the ultimate weapon to fight the naval admirals and achieve his goal of destroying East Blue and defeating the world government.
This Chimera had the distinction of being a pirate from the New World with the old bounty of 870,000,000 Belly, hence his use of Haki.
In the original storyline, this would be his last attempt; seeing that he couldn't keep these creatures on the island, he would throw them back into the sea to drown, knowing they couldn't swim; thus, getting rid of the Chimera would be safe.
Dante, seeing how the Chimera was preparing to launch itself, gripped his sword in both hands and prepared himself.
Dante: "I have to get him out of here; it's not safe." He said, looking around; he was near Maylin and in the corridor where Sulli was supposed to pass with Shiki's victims.
The Chimera was already ready to pounce, head first, its horns imbued with Haki ready to pierce his heart.
And with the force of a thousand horses, it launched itself at Dante. Instead of doing the same, Dante stared at the beast, and when he was about to stab him, he threw himself to the ground.
With his back on the ground, hands on the ground, and feet up, as he passed over Dante, Dante stood up, giving the beast a shove with his feet; using the strength of his arms on the ground, he sent it flying.
Dante immediately stood up, used soru, and quickly reached the chimera and punched it in the stomach, knocking it to the other island.
Aware of the risk that the beast would return to the island to fight, he went after them to have a fight away from all living things.
* At the same time *
Trini, Arthur, and Sulli are seen running into the lab. Once they reached the entrance, they encountered a mime.
Indigo: "If you think you're going to get away with this, prime—" He couldn't finish speaking, as Arthur was already ready to thrust his spear into his stomach.
Arthur: "There's no time for conversation."
Arthur barely dodged, only to be shot three times, once in the shoulder, knee, and elbow. Arthur was able to put up a decent fight, but he wouldn't need to, as Sulli jumped on top of Arthur with a syringe and injected Indigo with it.
Indigo: "What?" he said in confusion, only to fall unconscious the next second.
Sulli: "There, he'll sleep all day."
Trini: "That doesn't matter," she said, shooting him in the head, making Arthur and Sulli look at her strangely. "When the island falls, he'll die anyway. I don't think anyone here will be able to rescue him when that happens; let's go look for survivors."
And so they quickly found all the people who hadn't yet been eaten by the beasts imprisoned here. Once they knew who they were, Sulli took them all to Maylin and then to where the pirate ships, which Isis must be treating very kindly, should be.
Arthur and Trini ran to where the rest of the people were. When they found the room, they burst in to see Shiki sitting on his throne looking at his book; next to him was a clothed gorilla, also counting the scientists still working there.
Shiki: "So two of them arrived, so Dante is entertaining himself against Chimera 3. I had a little hope of meeting him head-on, but I'll settle for you."
Trini: "Chimera 3? What kind of monster did you make?"
Shiki: "Just an amalgamation of many animals, including a human and a Devil Fruit."
Arthur: "A Devil Fruit too?"
Shiki: "I had given him the Riki Riki no Mi, turning him into a man of strength—sorry, beast of strength—but we stopped talking; you came to die at my feet, and I, as the great pirate that I am, will grant you that honor."
Shiki then stood up and began to levitate, which Scarlet also cheered, staring at Trini, who noticed and was greatly disgusted.
Trini: "Let me take care of the monkey; you entertain Shiki until I'm done."
Arthur: "I understand."
At this, Shiki smiled, knowing there was hardly anyone who could stand up to him one-on-one.
* on another island *
A huge explosion was heard, destroying much of the ground, creating large cracks, sweeping away trees, and sending the creatures that, unfortunately, were still around flying.
From the epicenter of the explosion, Dante was seen stepping back, holding his two side blades while the rest were sheathed on his back; he had blood on his eyebrow and lips.
Shortly after, the chimera emerged in an unstoppable frenzy; it had four cuts on its abdomen and another on its arm.
Dante: 'This creature absorbs blows like nothing; besides having such a robust body, it makes my cuts inefficient'. ' I have three ways to defeat it: with a hard, clean blow, bleeding it to death, or throwing it into the sea. Let's try the last one, he thought as he dodged the chimera's claws'.
At this, Dante jumped high using Geppo; his idea was to cut the island into multiple pieces so that it would fall apart and fall with the beast.
High in the air, ready to attack, he saw the Chimera kneel and, with enormous force, destroy 80% of the island's surface with a leap, arriving at Dante in less than a second.
Dante had already seen it, but the beast's speed was so great that he couldn't dodge it; he could only block it by counterbalancing it, instantly losing.
The beast's horn pierced his chest cleanly. Causing Dante to bleed from both the wound and his mouth, the beast, with a ferocious movement of its head, sent Dante tumbling back to the island.
Dante: "Force equals acceleration times mass; since it can't manipulate mass, it does so through acceleration, and final velocity equals initial velocity plus acceleration. It makes sense that it reached me in less than a minute; if it weren't for my reaction, it would have split me in half." He said nothing, getting up from the ground and clutching his wound.
Dante opened his eyes and moved, grabbing his two swords, dodging the chimera's attack on the ground, and splitting the island into different pieces, which began to fall.
Using geppo, he began to jump to reach the nearest island, only to look to the side and see the chimera jumping through the rubble, quickly reaching where he was.
Dante: "Shit," he said, falling into some rubble, preparing for the counterattack that didn't take long to arrive.
The two repelled each other, swords and claws, while jumping on the rubble to get as high as possible.
Dante: "If this creature can do this, then the first plan is pointless; I'd better move on to cutting it into many pieces," he thought.
When out of nowhere, the Chimera uppercutted the swords, leaving Dante's guard open. He could only release them to block the direct punch to his torso, which sent him flying to the next island.
On the ground, Dante slowly stood up.
Dante: "I don't know if I should be grateful that I can punch despite having claws or if the claws would do less internal damage to my body."
Dante stared ahead as a row of rubble was dragged to where he was. He stood firm; just as he was about to reach it, he moved a few inches, brushing against the attack, to grab one of the Chimera's horns and twist it, knocking it to the ground.
The beast quickly got up from the ground only to receive a Haki-filled punch to the face, sending it back to the ground, a good few meters away from where it originally stood. It stood with red eyes, its nose and mouth bleeding profusely.
Dante: "Do you think you're the only one who can sin hard? Well, that's wrong." He said, cracking his knuckles. "I think I'll move on to the part of the plan where I smash your body with my bare fists, just because I want to."
