As one of the two residents of the Xu family manor, Lin Mo's living space on the second floor of the villa was as large as a living room.
At the balcony, close to the wall, there were two chairs and a table.
When he had nothing else to do, Lin Mo often sat on one of the chairs, facing the outside wind and scenery. Whether it was day or night, this location offered a view that was worth admiring.
Lin Mo often came here, gazing at the distant mountain views, while in his mind, he would think and then write in his diary.
Chip Diaries. In today's era, almost everyone has an internal processor implanted in their brain, coordinating the data from their body's cybernetic parts and biological data.
Naturally, essential cybernetic devices like communicators rely on this processor.
When there's nothing to do, people can also write diaries on it. Simply find an empty text chip, insert it into the slot, and you can immediately write whatever you want, without even having to move your hand.
However, Lin Mo preferred writing his diary by hand.
It allowed him to reflect on the past more clearly, rather than composing text in his mind. The latter, while convenient, felt somewhat hollow and superficial.
Writing in a diary had been a habit he developed early on. Because of the simulator, he could predict the trajectory of his actions for the next day every night.
This ability to glimpse into his destiny had been incredibly convenient, but it also brought with it the uncertainty of what would happen after altering that destiny.
Knowing what would happen tomorrow meant that the events of tomorrow would inevitably change because of the "foreknowledge."
So, writing his diary every day and comparing it with the simulator's experiences from the day before, Lin Mo was able to gain a deeper understanding of the simulator.
For this reason, Lin Mo adopted a unique method for his diary writing format.
The initial section recorded his thoughts at the start of the day, the text chip immediately recording the day's experiences and what was on his mind. The summary section was a reflection on that day's events.
A light breeze brushed over the diary on the desk, the pages flipping as though someone had gently turned them, revealing Lin Mo's weekly schedule.

Today, the simulator predicted that today would be another uneventful day. I scoffed at this, finding it hard to believe.
Simulator reward: A little pocket change, absolutely useless.
Man makes plans, and heaven watches. We must defy fate. Now that I know what will happen today, I certainly won't let it be a meaningless day.
[Text Chip Record]
As for going to school, I'm extremely reluctant. Unfortunately, this is a request from my sister. She has spent so much time and effort on my future, and I can't disappoint her.
It's just school, so I'll go. Although it will waste a lot of time, after school, I'll have my time to myself. I'll definitely make this day more meaningful during that time.
I spent a boring class time, didn't feel like listening, so I rested to prepare for the night.
The simulator said tonight I would again spend time alone at Lizi Bar.
I didn't believe it, so I immediately invited David, but this guy refused. What a clueless idiot.
No choice, I called Kitagawa, but he said he was working and to leave him alone.
So I called Pira and Falko, both of whom were free and happily joined me.
After leaving Lizi Bar, our friendship grew stronger. This was definitely a meaningful day.
[Summary Evaluation: Acceptable.]

Today, the simulator predicted that today would be an unlucky day. The simulator reward is a Moon Travel Ticket.
If it were useless, it would be expensive. I checked the price, and damn, it's worth over two hundred thousand euros.
It's unfortunate that it's of no use to me. I can't sell it, and spending over two hundred thousand just for a trip seems like a waste of time. I guess I'll just keep it as a collector's item.
But I'm curious—normally, simulator rewards are related to the day's events, so why did I get this travel ticket?
I checked the record and found that today I would meet a petty thief at Company Plaza. She will try to steal my chip on my way to the academy.
Of course, she failed. After all, my reaction speed is 10.
I scoffed, thinking, a small-time thief trying to steal my chip—how ridiculous.
[Text Chip Record]
Wow, this thief actually looks pretty good. White hair, mature woman vibe, elegant body, and a kind of crazy woman's aura, and she's even a hacker.
I got my chip back and was thinking of handing her over to the police. But when I saw her defiant expression, it reminded me of my days struggling on Twist Street.
Life isn't easy for anyone.
As the saying goes, "Don't hold grudges over small matters." I let her go, and before she left, she looked at me intensely. I'm sure it wasn't a thankful look. She probably plans to get even next time. What a nuisance to get entangled with a crazy woman.
After spending a boring class time, I rested to prepare for tonight.
After class, I invited David to Lizi Bar and told him I'd pay.
Of course, that idiot refused again. His repeated refusals really pissed me off.
So I asked for his mom's contact info, called her, and told her that David was being antisocial, refusing to join his friends. His mom got mad and insisted that he go out with me. As expected, David reluctantly agreed, and we went to Lizi Bar together.
Of course, I paid for everything. Seems like because I reported him, he didn't mind who paid and loudly complained about how I was making him bleed money.
At night, he seemed like a new person, a real teddy bear. Ugh, how embarrassing.
[Summary Evaluation: Acceptable, with an increase in friendship with David.]

Today, the simulator predicted a regular day and said it was payday. The simulator reward is double the euros received today.
Even without the simulator, I knew what today was—pocket money day.
Once a month, there's a pocket money day. Sure enough, my sister hadn't forgotten. The moment I woke up, I saw the pocket money deposited. Not too much, just 50,000 euros, and with the simulator's double reward, it totaled 100,000 euros.
This pocket money is my living expenses for the month and the cost of school supplies. For a student, it's an enormous sum.
It's a pity that after all these years, I'm no longer the same as before. This amount of money is now just "pocket change."
Sigh, having money is such a hassle. I can no longer feel the joy of receiving pocket money for the first time.
Perhaps my sister has realized where this extra money is coming from. After all, over the years, my pocket money has increased, and I've practically become a wealthy man.
Even if I deposit it in a private account, she couldn't help but notice the irregularity.
There's nothing I can do. With the simulator, I have been invincible in the stock market.
Also, thanks to the simulator's daily rewards, my total earnings for the day get another boost. Even if I didn't want to become rich, it's just impossible to avoid.
A life with money is really dull.
[Text Chip Record]
Still another boring class. Resting up to prepare for the night's activities.
At night, David happily joined me at Lizi Bar. Looks like he's starting to enjoy the nightlife.
I feel guilty. I've corrupted a good young man and dragged him down into this pit. I really am a bad influence.
So, to make up for it, I told David not to come again for a few days.
He asked why.
I said my back hurts, so I need some rest.
He reluctantly agreed.
[Summary Evaluation: Alright, money in hand.]

Today, the simulator predicted a lucky day. The reward was the answers to tonight's homework.
I checked the records and found that the news broadcast would report on a robbery. A gang attacked Dinara Technologies's transport convoy and stole a batch of expensive cyberware.
This is a great sign. I love these gang members.
Dinara Technologies is a leader in neural cyberware. The stolen cyberware must include the Sandevistan Mk3, which I need.
Once it hits the black market, Kagami will let me know immediately!
