I sat in the car and saw the vision that was temporarily blocked. The FBI agent was talking to a man who was ordered to open fire on residents in the city center. Hundreds of people are going to die. I told this to the council members and they removed their citizens from the crowd. People were gunned down and I attended the funeral. The FBI were frustrated that I didn't see this. I did get a confession out of the FBI agent in front of a judge, a reporter and a police officer. He was arrested immediately. He told the judge that he was trying to prove that I still had my gift of foresight. The judge said, "To prove someone has foresight doesn't mean you have gun down innocent people. Even if she had the gift she wouldn't have said anything since it is a trap" the other agents put their heads together and tried to come up with a way to prove that I still had my gift.
I looked through the eyes of the police officer and saw that my eyes looked normal now. Only I can see it the way it is. Becoming a vampire is a practical shield for me. I thanked God as I walked to the door. The other Feds gave up since the others apparently lost their gifts too. I waited till we were inside the car to ask Patrick if it is true and he said that the others had their gifts but using it is a little bit difficult since their body wants to lean towards vampiric things. I had no problems like that. He winked at me as he drove the car.
When I came home the others were expecting an answer. I let them in to prove that they are welcome. I told them that sports channels are off limits here. They were happy till they saw the size of the flat screen. Then they tried to haggle. I told them that I have certain rules and they need to respect them. They can stay here with no sports or not work with sports channels their own tv in their own house. Take it or leave so they gave up. Amy on the other hand found the children's channel and was watching my little pony. I asked her if she was bored of my fishtank. She said that she missed this episode. I sat down on the floor and the others said that the news of me being just an ordinary vampire has spread all over the place. People weren't very happy that the Feds played dirty. The agent and the mass murderer both are getting the death penalty.
I closed my eyes to find out what sort of trouble was waiting for me. I found myself in a building surrounded by people with all sorts of abilities. We were trying to get out before the sun rises. But also we were hoping to find the way to the basement tunnels. We opened the door and the sun light hit me and I was burned badly. I jumped and screamed in pain. I lay down on the floor and tried to calm myself down. LJ asked me if I was ok. I told him about the building and catching fire. He and the others wanted to know why I was there. I focused on the room and found out that Amy was kidnapped and I went there to rescue her. LJ wanted to know if these were legitimate mythical creatures or fake ones. I did a cursory and found out that these were ordinary humans who were pretending to be mythical creatures. Amy was warned not to talk to strangers. I had to teach her stranger danger.
LJ had a date night so he dropped her off at my apartment. She took him to her boat and it crashed on a pile of rocks. It started to sink and Jake went to rescue him. Both boats were totaled and were sinking. I came to rescue them. I had to be careful I used telekinesis to move the sharks away. When I was within safe distance without getting totaled. The others jumped on board. The woman asked how I had managed to come. I said that I had rented the boat for the night. Jake here said that he is going to rescue LJ here. If he didn't show up in thirty minutes come to this location so I did. The woman looked dejected and I realized this must be one of those people trying to prove that I have the gift. I told the others my suspicion. LJ broke up with her as she asked for a second date. She demanded an explanation and he said he is bored.
Amy hugged her father and asked if they could go home and eat a pizza and that is exactly what he did. The woman had to pay the rental company a hefty sum for the damage and then she went on her way. She reported to a soldier with multiple badges and stuff that she is suspicious of me. He knows that I was a vampire so he said that I could have found them with my vampiric senses so she was dismissed. The woman walked off to find her next target. I made sure LJ was informed and he promised to be extra careful. Jake swore that he is not going on a boat till I say it is safe to do so.
The next day I woke up at vampire sunrise and saw that Amy was already inside. I realized that I had forgotten to lock the door. LJ said that he had picked the lock to come inside. I told him not to do that since the other vampires I worked with weren't very nice. They could hurt him so he had better be careful. He promised to watch his back. Jake asked me why I wasn't tattooed or branded. I told him what happened the night I changed. LJ whistled, "Neutral has it's perks"
I asked them why they joined the police and they said that they need to make a living so that they can support their family. Since they worked as military police at one point they didn't have to be rookie or anything. I told them that they became detective straight away. They said that they have just decided to become cops. But they have not approached the police about it. I said I can tell when they make a choice and some of the result that come with it. I told them that if anyone found out they had barged into my house like that then they would lose their badges. They promised to be more careful. I also told them that my house is not to be used as a safe house. They promised not to bring anyone here since that would cause trouble. Jake asked if it had anything to do with the hollow. I said yes. Both remembered Maikoh's face so they kept their mouth shut.
Amy promised to come here when the bus stops around the corner. I told her father that anything can happen between there and my house. I promised to keep her safe till he picks her up. She went off to school that day and I sat by the door till she got on the bus. I had a feeling that I would have to get out into the sun one day. I sat on the couch when I saw Amy walking home and a car came out of nowhere and grabbed her. I got out of the house and got to her before he got a firm grip on her. I grabbed her and sped home as fast as possible. I shut the door and it locked up behind me. I was burnt all over. I sat down and cried in pain as Amy ran to get a blood bag for me. I drank the blood and healed. I jumped when the vision ended. I saw her scarf was in my hand.
