I got out to see a poster advertising Cu rāutate. I knew immediately that I was in hot water. I tried to board the ship but it was sent away for repairs. I walked out with my face covered in a sash. I tried to go anywhere but had a feeling that practically everyone is the enemy. Trust no one on this planet. Everyone was pleased to have them here. It turns out they are the planet's higher major contributor. Major of the citizens are employed by these goons. With each step my heart made it migrate towards my throat. I felt my chest constrict. I felt my breath become ragged as the air felt thin. I tried to find somewhere to sit and think clearly. Two people wearing sterilized outfits sat not far away. One ordered the other, "The deadline is here. The boss is asking where the vessel is. We made the perfect one. It was stolen. Then we discovered the elixir of immortality. But that was taken away. Now the master is requesting we find a girl with abilities to manipulate the elements. We have looked for empaths and telepaths. But none of them will do. The master wants a weapon. Triple the bounty but I want Alysia's resting place found." The other replied, "He was defeated while he possessed a telepath. So this time he wants someone with tenacity. She is a citizen of Arman but right now she is out there exploring the galaxy." The first growled, "I mean her burial site. I want her dug up so I can make replicas. I want to know exactly where we went wrong." The other mumbled, "She is still alive and she lives in the Arman. Tenebrae confirmed it last week." The other one squeaked, "She was the one who stole the elixir of immortality. The girl who manipulates the four elements. The legalized conscientious objector. How is that possible? If that's the case. Find out where she is? Find out what she looks like?" The other said, "She is currently exploring the galaxy. She never stays in one place for long and doesn't return to a place if she leaves. She wants to go places few or none have gone before." The first one laughed, "Away from her protection. What fun! Quadruple the bounty and make sure to bring her alive. Master's orders." The other complained, "Tenebrae complained about how she almost murdered her. Are we seriously going to bring her alive." The first said, "The master needs a host body to live so he can reign the galaxy. She has taken the serum then she is the vessel. Bring her to us alive and unharmed."
I was hyperventilating as I made my way out of there. I was walking till I reached the spaceport and hopped on the first ship out and thankfully it wasn't going back to the farmland but to my horror it was a ship belonging to Cu rāutate. It was a relief freighter but actually it was a bribe to convince the locals to serve as spies to further their agenda. I had no choice but to hide as they took off. The idiots were talking about how they missed the times when the people surrendered their freedom in exchange for security. The locals were told that being human was being a superior race whilst non-humans were lower class and stupid. They are going to rob everyone blind this time and they know the formula to do so. A man wearing an official outfit came and smacked the speech giver on the back of his head. He said, "No matter what empires fall. This one will fall too if we are not careful. The point is to figure out where the pockets of resistance live." The idiots were told to check for stowaways and get back to their seats. The captain is doing a headcount. They did a cursory examination and walked out. When we landed I snuck out and hopped on the first ship leaving.
It was a ship carrying the conscripted soldiers to the front. I saw Shi Zhi and realized his clumsiness is going to get the rest of his platoon killed. But I didn't say that either. The pilot asked me where I was going. I said that I would like to go to the nearest constellation. He said that he can do that after he drops off the soldiers. We stopped at an obsidian mine called Collodal. Arman wasn't far away. The guardian marshal wasn't happy to see me. The governor requested my presence and he was happy to see me. He asked me to stay in the ship. The library was updated and the governor was grinning ear to ear. The guardian marshal wasn't happy. Also a new section was added to Arman. This sector was solely for STAR agents. They were particularly pleased with the attention they have been getting. The governor was suddenly summoned for an emergency meeting. Apparently Agris had filed a complaint. As far as I was concerned Agris was someone who supports Tenebrae and Dementia. Some of the people on board were curious and I told them what I had heard in the lawless zone.
We reached the Solaris system and reached the capital Hae. The Kaiser was waiting for the governor. They both shook hands and walked towards the main building. I had a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach so I decided to find out what the heck was going on. I dressed as an aid and followed them in. I made sure to be as neutral as possible. The governor called the sweet old man master. I was curious why he said that. He said that all the pieces are in place and everything was set and is on schedule. Shi Zhi is playing decoy as per the instructions. He was wondering when the next soul transfer was going to occur. He answered in a boastful manner, "I have someone in mind. She is young, strong-willed and spit fire. Gaining her trust hasn't been easy. Now all I have to do is convince her to take your seat in the Senate. She has yet to show me any greed but she has anger. That is a portal I can use. This carcass is decaying and I am not in the mood to join the afterlife just yet. She has maintained her youthful looks without hassle. I believe that she is wasting it. So with a little bit of help. I will occupy her body and put it to good use." I realized that I had falsely accused the wrong people. All this time the monster had been possessing the guardian marshal and now he has possessed the governor. I had inadvertently helped the monster find what is left of the resistance. So I decided to sneak out and delete the recent data. The tattoo on my right arm says I had the right to do so. I can simply type in that the recently downloaded data was corrupted so the information will be flushed out and no one will know anything.
The meeting came to a conclusion and I quietly snuck out. The governor was taken to a suite where he sat down to eat. After his meal the guardian marshal came to tell him that I was missing. The governor wasn't concerned. He had a good feeling about my whereabouts. He answered, "She probably went shopping or exploring the planet. She has no other interest remember? Don't worry she will show up." The Guardian marshal pressed on, "There is something off about her. Did you know that she is over a hundred years old." The governor chuckled, "She is almost two hundred years old but well preserved." The guardian marshal expressed his concerns, "What if she is Kabbohera? She says she wants to be protected but yet she slips away to search for distant planets. She can't make up her mind. If she stays she is in the garden or in the library. If she leaves she might vanish and be gone for days at least. I think we should keep an eye on her" The governor smiled, "My dear friend. She ingested the elixir of immortality as a teenager. The elixir froze her in time and kept her intentions as she has always desired. They are as simple as she is. She is still a child at heart learning how to navigate this life. I applaud her tenacity that got her this far." The governor told him to go to the banquet hall and see the arrangements and make sure to oversee security of the events. The Semites are coming and so are the others. The guardian marshal was to make sure no one was harmed in any way. The moment he left the governor relaxed his posture. He finished his meal and sat on a seat on the balcony. His body slumped as though he was dead. A shadowy hand came out. It had really long tapered fingers. The nails were long and sharp. A boney arm came out and then the rest of the malevolent spirit glided out of his corpse. Hair like serpents with glowing white eyes and devious smile that promised a world of pain. The thing is she turned away and I saw that she had another face on the other side of her skull. The eyes were red and the frown was permanent. The body looked malnourished. Long spiky legs and talons for toes. She laughed menacingly as she welcomed herself to the beginning of the end. The annihilation of peace and prosperity. Her eyes looked at the surrounding area and was about to do something when there was a knock on the door. She quietly slipped in and made her puppet answer the door. I felt sick to my stomach. All of the people listed as the governor's aid were instructed to vacate the room. I quietly made it out and went straight to the library.
