Chapter 21 - Chapter 20

We were entering Polaris five when Mangalers ships came out of nowhere and opened fire. The Ragon shields were activated. We suffered little to no damages. The ship picked up speed as it raced to enter the planet. Once we were past the moon. The ray shield activated. This made sure the plasma bolts bounced back towards the sender. The library landed and the locals welcomed us. The regional prince was pleased to see an old friend and the rest of us got to relax. The Mangaler ship was deactivated using the pulse. Then the ship was reeled in using magnetism. The weapons were set to freeze. True to its name it froze the Mangalers. The tech support went in and looked through the communications log. One in particular caught their eye. She introduced herself as Borr. The leader of Agris. She paid him with weapons in exchange for shooting and blasting Arman out of space. She has planets to conquer and wealth to obtain. Arman was one of many obstacles in her way. She is planning to systemically eliminate her grievances. This was her first attempt. The intergalactic court was informed and she was taken to court. The locals were very hospitable. I haven't reached the fifty year mark so I stayed in Arman and rarely venture out.

The swamp area is filled with monsters and possibly have Fyr a residence. Which is why certain places are forbidden to go. The locals would invite the citizens to be teachers so they can learn about other cultures we learn theirs. I walked to a classroom and saw people of all ages. Sitting there patiently listening as they absorb the knowledge. I taught them the different types of medical procedures that I have used in dire situations. As I was explaining a procedure used to save children from choking hazards a small ruffle walked in. It is the size of my arm. A thick gray coat. Beady eyes and tufty ears. A cute snout and sharp teeth. It was covered in a slimy substance. I picked it and to my surprise. It was Silim. The locals use it to feed their livestock. I gave them a demonstration of how effective the healing process of Silim can be. They stopped feeding them to the bovines and started collecting them for medicine. I had to go all over the planet from the windy northern regions to the mudland in the western reserve. As a thank you gift I got to take some with me.

Arman had to take off at the request of the intergalactic court system. We were summoned to file an official complaint to stop the destruction of cultural identity in the name of capitalism. Agris agents were caught in eighteen different systems trying to eradicate their culture and identity to make sure the industrial sector could barge in and drain the planet of its resources. I was amongst those who remained on board. The guardian marshal and the governor left for the hearing. STAR has agents in every entrance and no one is allowed to enter or leave. I pulled out Strata to do repairs. I had learned enough to do so. The junk bot or Calvin as I called him was kind enough to find me replacement parts. I had opened the bottom so Stargazer and Lexicon could have a breather too. I had taken the side panel and started removing a burnt out circuit when the door opened. A woman walked in and demanded to know the location of the library. The ship was built as mix and match fashion so the scanners go haywire if it tries to do a technical readout. STAR agent Koralina answered that she has no clue. The woman was told to disembark or be arrested. She asked to be arrested so the harbour master came and tried to take her away. The doors opened and someone opened fire. I whistled and Lexicon activated and I used the taser feature to incapacitate the shooter. Arman is not a military ship. The intergalactic law on space travel dictates that all spaceships must be equipped with weapons for safety reasons. The fighter was neutralized and I saw the harbour master was badly injured. So I used the water in my canteen to heal him.

I didn't have to worry about the woman trying to get in because without the governor and guardian marshal's access pass to override the lockdown she is going to get electrocuted. The lights flickered on and off indicating she tried to sneak in without permission. She was taken to the med bay on the space port. As her cronies were rounded up and placed in cells. Both of them came back in one piece and were told what happened. The governor thanked me as I changed the fuel. The guardian marshal came to thank me as I polished Stargazer. I whistled and Lexicon deactivated. The guardian marshal was impressed. He asked me where I got this. I told him that I got this over a hundred years ago. It was a gift from Royalty in Escala. He refused to believe that I was a hundred years old. Til the record keeper showed him the data from the day I moved on board. He has seen people who are a hundred years old but they are old. I looked young which made it impossible for him to accept the data. To him humans live for sixty to eighty years. This was till the education Borg taught him about the life expectancy of different species of both humans and non-humans alike. According to the records I am a hundred and thirty years old. I am the oldest and most consistent contributor of knowledge to the library. I learned from the library, I strived to teach the library what knowledge I knew. After the education process the STAR treated me differently. Make no mistake they still think that I should be sworn into the death cult called the army.

We moved to Guanga passage towards the Han regions. The residents were told to be cautious. I had to have my tattoos cataloged before I was permitted to disembark. The halls were being modernized so it scans the being as they pass through the hall. They scan for bone density, bone damage, gait, tattoos and heart rate. The locals dressed in traditional clothes and didn't recognize Valuta as money so they had to get their currency exchanged at the port. I got a dozen Fu Dao. A hexagonal bronze coin with local language on one side. The other side had a plant. Then a few silver coins were square with a hole in the middle. The local language on one side and two swords that appear to be at war with one another. The last was Fengyu. It was in gold beaten into a rectangular shape with lines on one side and had words in the local language. The locals were friendly but reserved. I got to try local delicacies as I explored the place. The city was so huge so I had to be careful not to get lost. There was a drum beating and everyone dropped whatever they were doing to go out and stay in a bowed position. Not wanting to be left out I did the same. The parade took a few minutes and everyone went back to their businesses. I walked back with a few scrolls about the history and other important knowledge. The security lets me in first since I am an elderly person. They would shake their heads as I took items with me home. I was told that I can pass the nightingale halls without harm so I passed through and gave the infobot the scrolls before wishing the cyborg a nice day. He would greet me in a similar manner. I was told to go through the restricted section as I finally saw the library. It was a mix of text and tech. The harmonious symbiotic relationship of tradition with modern to preserve was awe-inspiring. Some are carefully cataloged based on the relevance. Others are placed based on alphabetical order. My scroll tattoo got a new addition. A few stars and a feather. This was inked in jet black.
