Millions of years have passed since humans first awakened their psychic powers, some of them are now called Esper and those who control Esper are called Guides. The Miles family were the first to awaken their psychic powers, so it has been millions of years since the Miles family dedicated their entire family to research.
Researchers scattered around the world then conducted joint research with Carforna, the town in the state that first had a human with powers capable of defeating monsters and saving the world from apocalypse.
But over time, the Miles family has now experienced a drastic decline in offspring. Of the many Miles families born, there are now only ten million left in the world. Researchers who once only studied the power of Miles have now shifted their focus.
