"lily I won't let you ruin my reputation and put our family name on the line" Mr Morgan spat to his daughter. She lifted her hands quietly and cleaned the sauce that has been stoned at her earlier.
With tears in her eyes the said to her father " Dad , will you really let me marry someone I don't know because of your own selfishness"
" Lily " he called softly,"you really don't know that I'm doing this for your own good, I don't want to see my hard work go in vain and see you suffer so yes I will marry you of to someone you don't know if that's what it means " he added with a wicked grin and stormed out of the room leaving Lily all to herself on the dinning table
She picked up her phone and dialed her best friends number Aria Quinn
"Hey bitch, I'm driving back home so speak up quick before I hang up" Aria cursed on top her voice as she was speeding and listening to music real loud. "Aria can you please stop the music and listen to me" Lily said hissing in frustration. Aria noticed that her tone was off and immediately stopped the music "what's wrong with you Lily" she asked with worry laced in her voice " please just come pick me up, I'm at home" Lily said softly "alright I will be there in a while" Aria said while reversing her car to Lily's route.
Lily sat down on the bed staring into blank space looking like she just met with a ghost until she saw a notification from Lily that she was outside already. She quickly changed into a demin short and a tank top as she didn't want anything to inconvenience her and she left to meet Aria outside
Aria immediately got off the car upon seeing Lily and ran up to her " what's wrong Lily"she asked carefully "let's just drive to somewhere, I want to clear my head " Aria seeing that she may not be ready to talk quickly did as she was told. The ride was in a complete silence until they arrived at a cafe in the middle of the town .
Aria turned off the ignition and turned to Lily with a worried look" Lily can you please talk already this silence is killing me" Lily looked at her like she was just seeing her for the first time and said "let's just go inside I will tell you everything" Lily agreed and they both came out of the car and headed into the cafe
When they got there Aria ordered two iced tea and they went to seat by the window
side.
When their order came in Lily picked up the cup and sipped in a little then she dropped the bomb " I'm going to get married" Aria who had her cup on her lips already chocked on her drink and turned to look at her " What !" She screamed and then looked around when she noticed that she may have been too loud and people were already staring at her. She turned back to Lily and asked softly "what do you mean by you are going to get Married, when and to who , why didn't you tell me , how did you guys meet " she went all and on blabbing while Lily sat there staring blankly "answer me already lily" she said desperate to hear everything " I don't know him , we haven't met before, my Dad wants to force me into the marriage because of his Company " she said and hissed bitterly. " Oh my God ,my Lily " Aria grabbed her hands and stared at her face worriedly. " Lily it will be fine, you don't have to worry about that , maybe you can try talking to your dad , he may listen to you " she added Lily just noded to her and sipped her tea . Aria continued telling her soothing words to lighten her mood when all of a sudden someone spilled coffee on Lily's arm . " Oops, I'm sorry " the lady said to Lily grining mischievously " can't you make use of your eyes" Aria lashed out immediately " I said it was a mistake, didn't you hear that " the lady said angrily.Aria was about to speak up when they heard a voice " what's going on her Michelle " The man who owns the voice said walking up to them . Michelle turned to him and immediately changed her demeanor to that of a little kitten and said " honey, I spilled my coffee on her by mistake and I apologized but she doesn't want to listen and she started shouting at me" the man turned to her and said " Michelle , I have always told you to stay out of trouble, haven't I" she bent her head down and nodded then he turned to Aria and Lily who were just staring at the utterly Handsome man , appearing up in a two piece black Italian suit , looking like the Greek god's with his jawline as sharp as a sword and he has his grey eyes on them like he could see through their souls and he asked with his majestic voice nonchalantly " what do both of you want" Aria was the first to respond "excuse me Mr? Can't you see that she spilled her coffee on my friend" she asked with her voice going up a bit . " Yes I can see and she apologized didn't she " he asked with a raised brow. " She apologized without showing remorse so how can we accept that" Aria retorted again " maybe if you were polite with her she wouldn't have been rude to you " the man said. This time transferring his gaze to Lily who has been calm since then he looked back at Aria waiting for her to respond, but this time Lily spoke up " Maybe if you train your little puppy to be respectful and nice to stranger we wouldn't be in this mess" she added rashly . Michelle who has been quiet ever since the man came in suddenly looked up ready to deny everything till she met Lily's intense gaze the she turned back to the man and held his hands and said. " Let's just go honey, this people may be lunatics " The man stared at them for a while and turned to go while cursing under his breath.
Immediately they got out of the cafe he removed Michelle's hands from him and walked straight to his car while she trailed behind him like a lost puppy. They both got in the car and the driver drove off in silence.
He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that , that lowlife had the guts to talk back at him , " who does she even think she is to talk to me in that manner" he said under his breath
Back at the cafe , Lily and Aria just paid for their drinks and left . Aria sent Lily and reassured her that everything will be alright then she drove off after making sure that Lily has gotten into the house.
Lily went up straight to her room. Removed her cloth and headed to the bathroom for a cold bath . After 30 minutes of soaking herself in the bath she dried her self, dressed up and lay on her bed till she fell asleep
Later that evening, she was awakened by the maid and that came to call her for dinner downstairs. She stood up and went down to the dining table, her Dad , Mom and sister were already sitted and she just joined them quietly. They ate silently for a while before Mr Morgan broke the silence. " I hope you thought about what we discussed earlier this morning " he said to Lily. She just nodded her head while still stuffing her mouth with the food." Good " Mr Morgan replied " the chauffeur will be taking you out tomorrow to select your wedding dress and ring , your engagement part will be in three days and you will be getting married two weeks after so get ready" He added plainly. Lily looked up from her meal and said to her Dad softly, almost at the verge of tears " Dad, please can you just reconsider " Her Dad's expression changed almost immediately and he said with a firm tone. " It has already been decided and you must listen to me, do you understand?" Lily just nodded her head will staring at him with tears in her eyes and with that he rose up and left the table, her mom just looked at her ,hissed and left also . She sat back on her chair letting the tears fall freely until she felt a gentle pat on her back , she looked up to see that it was her younger sister Ava , " stop crying" Ava said in her little voice, Lily just smiled at her and cleaned her tears before heading back to her room
That night she couldn't sleep she tossed around her bed until she heard a knock on her door , she stood up to open it and it was her father standing outside. He handed her a document " this is all you need to know about your Fiance for now" then he turned and left
She took the document to her room and opened it, she went through the document and said softly to her self " so his name is Sebastian Hale" she decided to call her best friend Aria to ask if she knows about any Sebastian Hale
At the third ring Aria picked up, "hey" came the voice at the other end " I was about sleeping" she added " I'm sorry for disturbing you I just wanted to ask you a question" Lily said " that's not an issue Hun I'm just kidding, so what's the issue " Aria added " have you by chance heard about any Sebastian Hale " Lily asked calmly."Like do you mean the famous Sebastian Hale , like the CEO of Hales enterprise?" Aria asked with her voice laced with excitement Lily was surprised because she didn't expect this kind of reaction from Lily, " I think so , she asked " a little bit confused. " I don't really know him, I just heard about him and trust me there's nothing good about him, why are you asking " Aria added . Lily was quiet for a while before saying " what is it that you head about him Aria just sighed softly and said " well I heard he's a play boy , a womanizer , a jerk and on top all he had a relationship with an actress and she left him and that was when he started womanizing, I also heard that he is a very very ruthless man and will not ever forgive someone that messes with him" Aria added. At this point Lily was already in shock and cold , she couldn't believe that this was the person she was getting married to , she didn't know who to curse at anymore and was just still "Hello, hello, Lily are you there" came Aria's voice that brought her out of her thought " yeah I'm good". " Are you sure" Aria asked. " Yeah I'm sure". She replied softly. " Alright then, I will be going to bed now, good night". Aria said before hanging up. Lily couldn't believe what she just heard about her supposed husband she just lay on her bed till the fell asleep .
