Tristan had hired professionals with decades of experience to keep track of Maya. But even with that, they still kept losing track of her every few days. And it was through no fault of theirs. It seemed that whoever they were dealing with, was very good at evasion.
Throughout their decades long conflict, Zachariah had never actually been good enough to hire people skilled at evasion, or at being able to successfully spy on Tristan. He still believed that his cousin was behind the whole thing with Maya. But it was little things like that that made Tristan feel as though it was not Zachariah.
