Afterward, Ryuji and Kaneki Ken returned to the Anteiku coffee shop. With nothing else to do, Ryuji and Kaneki Ken decided to change into their work uniforms and cover the afternoon shift.
Upon arriving on the second floor, Ryuji saw Mrs. Ryoko emerge from a room and head towards the restroom.
From the way she was wiping her mouth, Ryuji knew that Mrs. Ryoko had likely just finished eating and was going to the restroom to clean the lingering taste of blood from her mouth.
Ryuji quickly passed the room Mrs. Ryoko had come out of. Due to the mission, Ryuji pondered for a moment and ultimately decided to try and get information about her father's whereabouts from Mrs. Ryoko's daughter.
With this thought in mind, Ryuji suddenly stopped. Kaneki Ken also stopped upon seeing this and curiously asked, "Senior Ryuji, what's wrong?"
Without a word, Ryuji pushed open the door. Before Ryuji could slip inside and close it, Kaneki Ken immediately let out a scream and fell to the ground in fright, constantly shrinking back.
It turned out that Mrs. Ryoko's daughter was eating inside the room, and Kaneki Ken was likely startled by the rather gruesome sight.

After Mrs. Ryoko knocked for a while, her daughter Hinami finally opened the door. She looked at Ryuji and Kaneki Ken with a hint of anger. Hinami's gaze lingered on Kaneki Ken the longest, making Kaneki Ken think Hinami was angry because he had screamed.
Before Kaneki Ken could apologize to Hinami, Mrs. Ryoko immediately entered the room and locked the door from the inside. Only Ryuji and Kaneki Ken were left outside the room.
"Senior Ryuji, what do we do now?" Kaneki Ken asked Ryuji.
"Leave this to me. You go change and start your shift!" Ryuji replied.
Hearing this, Kaneki Ken felt a bit embarrassed to let Ryuji handle the situation alone. Although Ryuji had opened the door, it was he who had screamed. If he hadn't screamed, they probably wouldn't be in this situation.
However, Kaneki Ken was even more curious as to why Ryuji had pushed open Hinami's door.
