Ryuji's appearance caught Upper Rank Three's attention. He focused on Ryuji, giving him a meaningful smile. "Another powerful demon slayer. A Hashira, I presume? Are you planning a two-on-one? Isn't that a bit unfair?"
"We don't need two to deal with you," Ryuji retorted.
Upper Rank Three's smirk widened. "Big words! Not at all humble! That's quite unlikeable!"
"Good. I don't want men to like me," Ryuji countered.
"Smooth-talking brat!" Upper Rank Three, unwilling to engage in banter, attacked Ryuji.
Rengoku didn't intend to cooperate with Ryuji. After Ryuji took over the fight, Rengoku chose to observe, both to witness Ryuji's skills and to recover from his injuries.
Meanwhile, a six-person team led by Inosuke and Kyōjurō engaged Lower Rank Two, splitting the battlefield into two.
