Ryuji, possessing the greatest speed and having been the first to start running, was the first to leap onto the last carriage of the train, landing in the area used for passenger boarding and smoking.
He immediately opened the door and, turning to look at the others still chasing the train, urged, "Hurry up!"
Kujou Hattori was the second to reach the area where Ryuji was standing. Ryuji immediately told her, "Go inside the carriage first; leave space for the others."
The area at the rear of the train, besides being used for boarding and smoking, also served as an open-air viewing platform. However, it was small; at most, only six people of average build could fit comfortably.
With nine people in their group, it was impractical for everyone to squeeze into this space; some would inevitably be left behind.
Kujou Hattori understood this and quickly entered the carriage.
The rear carriage was quite empty, with only seven or eight people inside.
Kujou Hattori didn't immediately find a seat but continued to observe the situation outside.
Meanwhile, the remaining six were desperately chasing the train. Tanjiro, the third to arrive, was pulled onto the train by Ryuji.
Inosuke, followed by the Murata brothers, Shinichi and Kachi, then boarded.
Zenitsu, lagging behind, shouted to Seiichiro Sakata and Kenta Inoue who were ahead, "Wait for me! Why are you all running so fast?!"
Seiichiro Sakata and Kenta Inoue were too preoccupied with catching the train to respond. They hadn't fully mastered Total Concentration, Constant, and if they didn't control their breathing properly, they risked being left behind.
The train had reached its maximum speed, and the distance between Zenitsu, Seiichiro Sakata, Kenta Inoue, and the train was visibly increasing.
Seeing this, Ryuji shouted to those still outside, "Everyone, get inside the carriage! Don't impede my actions!"
Tanjiro and the others quickly retreated into the carriage. Only Ryuji remained on the open-air platform. He activated his Demonification, a dark purple mist enveloping him as his hands began to transform.
Finally, Ryuji extended his hands and shot three thick, dark purple threads, resembling thick electrical cables, towards Zenitsu, Seiichiro Sakata, and Kenta Inoue. The threads stuck to their clothing on their chests.
"Grab onto the threads!"
Ryuji didn't immediately pull them in. The threads were stuck to their clothing, which couldn't withstand a strong pull; if he used too much force, their clothes would tear.
Zenitsu, Seiichiro Sakata, and Kenta Inoue would fall if suddenly pulled, so Ryuji waited for them to securely grasp the threads before pulling them in.
Zenitsu, Seiichiro Sakata, and Kenta Inoue, facing Ryuji, were terrified by his Demonified form, their faces showing clear fear.
Only Tanjiro, Giyu Tomioka, Shinobu Kocho, Tamayo, and Yushiro had witnessed Ryuji's Demonification before; he hadn't used it in front of anyone else.
Zenitsu shouted, "Whoa! Senpai Ryuji turned into a monster!" Instinctively, he grabbed the thread that Ryuji had shot out.
