Having seen trains frequently as a child, Kenta Inoue wasn't particularly excited despite never having ridden one.
Shinichi Murata, however, was filled with anticipation. "Shinichi, we're about to ride a train! I have no idea what it'll be like!" he exclaimed excitedly to his younger brother.
Shinichi Murata nodded, equally excited.
Kujou Hattori remained calm and composed, saying nothing, simply staying close to Ryuji.
As a time traveler, Ryuji, while never having been on an old-fashioned steam train, had experienced modern airplanes, bullet trains, cars, and ships, so the sight of this old train didn't particularly impress him.
It was only after hearing the others' discussion that Tanjiro learned that this dark, snake-like thing was called a train.
Suddenly, as they waited on the platform, Inosuke yelled, "Charge!" and sprinted, headbutting the train carriage with full force.
"Bang!"
A loud clang echoed as Inosuke's impact dented the train's metal siding.
The impact left Inosuke dizzy, nearly causing him to fall. He staggered, regained his balance, shook his head, and pointed at the train carriage, "I never thought it would be as hard as Tanjiro's head! Alright, let's have a proper fight!"
He grabbed the two Nichirin blades at his waist, ready to draw them.
Zenitsu immediately rushed forward, grabbing Inosuke's arms, and scolded him, "You idiot! What are you doing?! This is so embarrassing!"
Ryuji's attention shifted to Inosuke. He warned, "Inosuke, stop being foolish! Trains don't attack people!"
"Is that so? Could it be the earth god protecting this land?" Inosuke inquired.
Ryuji wasn't sure how to explain this to Inosuke, a country boy.
"What are you doing?"
"Those people have swords; they might be dangerous!"
"There are too many of them! Call for backup!"
Inosuke's actions had attracted the attention of the station security guards.
Zenitsu urgently warned Ryuji, "Ryuji-senpai, we need to run! Don't get caught; it'll be a huge problem!"
He immediately grabbed Tanjiro and Inosuke and ran.
Ryuji quickly ordered his Moonslayer team, "Follow me!"
The nine of them swiftly navigated the crowded platform.
As skilled demon slayers with powerful breathing techniques, they easily outpaced the guards.
They quickly climbed onto the platform's awning to hide.
From below, the guards could be heard talking, "Where did those guys go?"
"They ran this way, didn't they?!"
Ryuji whispered to the group, "Everyone down! Stay quiet!"
They all lay flat, silent. Darkness had already fallen, and as they lay on the awning, Ryuji noticed several beams of flashlights sweeping upwards.
