"Twelve Slaying Moons, as the name suggests, means to slay the Twelve Kizuki. Of course, you're not capable of that yet, which is why you're undergoing this special training."
"Don't assume you're guaranteed a spot in the Twelve Slaying Moons. Those who fail the training will be eliminated. Only the strong will remain."
"The training focuses on three core areas: Breathing techniques, physical conditioning, and combat techniques. There's also a supplementary training element: teamwork."
"Unlike the Hashira, who operate individually, the Twelve Slayong Moons unit works as a team. Individual strength is crucial, but teamwork is equally important. Only through effective coordination can you achieve synergy—one plus one equals more than two, three plus three equals more than six, and six plus six equals more than twelve."
After introducing himself, Ryuji explained the Twelve Slaying Moons unit's philosophy and training direction.
A surly-looking teenager scoffed, "So, the Twelve Slaying Moons is just a bunch of bullies ganging up on opponents? I'm out of here! I thought it would be something more impressive!"
Shinichi retorted immediately, "Oh yeah? How impressive are you? Acting like you're so great! Where was this amazing strength of yours during the Spider Mountain raid? Without the Hashira reinforcements, you'd probably have been hiding in a corner until dawn!"
The teenager, provoked by Shinichi's mockery, lunged forward, ready for a fight. But Ryuji swiftly intervened, grabbing the teenager by the collar and tossing him out like trash.
After dusting his hands, Ryuji addressed the remaining trainees, his tone hardening. "The Twelve Slaying Moons unit doesn't need individuals who prefer solo combat and refuse team support. Those who find teamwork dishonorable can leave now; the Twelve Slaying Moons isn't for you."
Several trainees, unimpressed and dismissive of Ryuji's authority, grumbled and left the training grounds.
Ryuji remained unfazed; he wasn't going to waste his energy on them. If they didn't want to be part of the Twelve Slaying Moons, that was their choice.
One departure led to another, and another, until a total of four trainees, including the one Ryuji had thrown out, left the training.
With only eight trainees left, Ryuji announced, "In that case, let's change the unit's name from 'Twelve Slaying Moons' to 'Moonslayer'!"
The trainees were stunned. The name 'Twelve Slaying Moons' was just something Ryuji had come up with! They all assumed it was a name bestowed by the Master!
This revelation, coupled with Ryuji's earlier actions, made most of the trainees, except for Shinichi and Jiro, question his competence.
