Hi everyone, it's Zaelum, the event will start tomorrow! Now I will tell you how to participate on it so you can choose which fanfic you want to be translated!
This time there will be 2 challengers! A Naruto and a Bleach fanfic, both I check them and they both looks promising.
The event consist on 3 rounds of challenges:
1: The Likes Round: If the post gets 100 likes it will earn a point (Both can win that point) (Will start Saturday) (This is in Patreon)
2: The Power Stones Round: If the fanfic gets 1500 Power Stones in Webnovel gets a point! (Both can win that point) (Will start Sunday)
3: The Reviews Round: If the fanfic gets 50 reviews on Webnovel it will get a point! (Both can win that point) (Will start Sunday)
Now what would happen if both reach the 3 points? I will pick both!
The true both are fun so I kinda don't care if both win, hahaha. So if you want, try to make me pick both by doing the event.
Also as bonus... if any of the fics get into the top 10 in Webnovel I will make it a double chapter schedule for that fic!
Anyway, I thought it was going to be fun to do an event where you all get to participate, and if the events its succesful I may do more of them, for more new fics or for currents ones.
Thanks you all for reading this, and I will see you later!
Ciao!
==========
Chōji munched on his chips. "Ino, you're not cheering for Sasuke anymore?"
Shikamaru looked even more surprised. "Not only is she not cheering—she's not even surprised. Ino, do you know something we don't?"
Ino just chuckled and didn't answer.
These past few months, she hadn't been training aimlessly—her devil of a dad had pushed her beyond her limits. She'd long since learned to judge strength clearly. Plus, she occasionally trained with Tenten, so she had a decent understanding of the strength of Natsuki and his two teammates.
She could even confidently say that not just Natsuki and Shino—even Tenten was probably stronger than Sasuke.
Those three… really were something else.
Sasuke wiped the scratch on his face, annoyed at himself for being careless, but also more alert toward Natsuki. He could tell Natsuki was sharp and extremely good at applying what he'd learned.
Take the smoke bomb, for instance—others used it to block the enemy's sight for a sneak attack.
But not Natsuki. He'd looked like a fool, throwing a smoke bomb at himself, only to conceal his transformation into a shuriken, pulling off a successful ambush.
An opponent like that was much more interesting than all the others still clumsily flailing at each other.
"Heh… Natsuki, you're impressive. You're getting more interesting."
Sasuke felt a spark of excitement. He needed strong opponents to improve. Natsuki might not be insanely powerful, but he was full of creativity—he'd already taught Sasuke a lot.
But he wasn't about to lose. This time, he was going to win!
Natsuki didn't respond. Instead, he threw another handful of shuriken, which Sasuke easily dodged.
There was no smoke bomb this time, but Sasuke was much more cautious now—concerned there might be a shadow clone hidden among the shuriken. Whether Natsuki actually knew how to use shadow clone didn't matter—Sasuke was ready for anything.
Seeing this, Natsuki formed hand seals and used the Clone Combination Technique, rushing forward.
Sasuke knew this move well. He didn't panic at all and quickly formed seals of his own, spitting out a massive fireball. "Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!"
The class gasped. No one expected Sasuke to already be able to use a technique like that. He was only seven! Truly a prodigy of the Uchiha.
Iruka grew nervous, worried a student might get hurt.
But Natsuki charged straight at the fireball without even trying to dodge, forming hand seals as he ran.
"Oh, a substitution jutsu? Then he's fine… wait, a substitution? That's brilliant!" Iruka suddenly realized.
"A substitution?"
Sasuke couldn't see clearly, but his expression changed. "Damn it! This guy—!"
He spun around and kicked backward just in time to see the Natsuki running toward the fireball transform with a puff into a shuriken, while the real Natsuki had reappeared behind him—they had swapped places!
Bam! Their feet collided midair.
Because Sasuke had kicked reflexively, he was slightly off balance and ended up stumbling back.
Just as he was about to counter, Natsuki rapidly formed another set of hand seals, eyes locked on Sasuke—and suddenly, Sasuke felt the world spinning.
"Genjutsu: Naraku Misen no Jutsu!"
"Crap, genjutsu…"
Sasuke immediately calmed his mind and disrupted his chakra flow, breaking free from the illusion in an instant—only to be greeted by a big ol' kick to the face, sending him flying.
The entire class was dumbstruck.
They hadn't expected Natsuki to chain together attacks like a storm, dominating Sasuke the whole time. Sasuke had been knocked down twice, and his seemingly powerful Gōkakyū no Jutsu hadn't even worked. It really looked like Natsuki had surpassed him.
But… how was that possible?
Sasuke was supposed to be the Uchiha prodigy!
Sasuke himself couldn't believe it. He got back up, face full of frustration, but was now more cautious than ever. Just as he was preparing to continue, he saw Natsuki suddenly raise his hand.
Instinctively, Sasuke leapt back.
But Natsuki calmly said, "Iruka-sensei, I'm out of chakra. I forfeit."
"Nani?! Natsuki, are you messing with me?!"
Sasuke was furious. "You knocked me down twice, my fireball did nothing, and now you're telling me you're giving up? What kind of logic is that? Keep fighting me!"
But Natsuki had already formed the Seal of Reconciliation. Sasuke had no way to vent his frustration.
The guy said he was out of chakra—he clearly couldn't pull off those techniques anymore. Forcing the fight to continue didn't make sense.
Left with no choice, Sasuke sulkily formed the reconciliation seal too.
Natsuki saw Sasuke's expression and, in a rare moment of kindness, said, "Sasuke, that genjutsu may be low level, but it does consume a lot of chakra. And I don't have much of a knack for genjutsu—I practiced that one for a long time. The fact you broke out of it so quickly means I wouldn't have been able to land another. Continuing would've been pointless."
More importantly… if I kept going, you'd lose, and I'd blow my cover.
Better to leave it at that!
Sasuke felt a bit better hearing that. Maybe he wasn't doing so badly after all—he had escaped a genjutsu instantly.
But then Natsuki added, "Still, your mental state isn't great, Sasuke. Otherwise, you wouldn't have fallen for such a low-level genjutsu. Those dark circles under your eyes aren't a good sign. If you don't get proper rest, it could be dangerous in a real fight."
With that, he turned and walked off, receiving a wave of applause from the class.
Though Natsuki had technically forfeited, it didn't really feel like a loss. He had still earned everyone's respect.
After all, he was the first one to beat Sasuke down like that. If only he had more chakra, Sasuke might've suffered a real defeat.
Only the insiders—Shino and Ino—remained calm.
To them, it was clear: Natsuki wasn't the type who enjoyed playing ninja games.
Just then, Naruto jumped out again. "Iruka-sensei! Since Natsuki forfeited, can I fight Sasuke next? I'm super strong today—I will win, dattebayo!"
Iruka sighed—this blond brat was giving him a headache. He glanced at Sasuke, who gave a slight nod, so he relented. "Fine. Since Sasuke has no objections, the second match will be Naruto vs. Sasuke. Form the Seal of Confrontation."
"Ha! Sasuke, prepare yourself, dattebayo!"
Naruto charged up enthusiastically right after forming the seal—only to be kicked flying the next second.
Sasuke sneered. "I'm still pissed off from Natsuki forfeiting. Since you're so eager for a beating, how could I say no? Your attacks aren't even a fraction as good as Natsuki's. And you think you can beat me?"
What followed was a one-sided beatdown.
Though Naruto could really take a hit, at his current age—and with his long-term malnourishment—he wasn't nearly as tough as he'd one day become. Soon, he was lying on the ground in miserable shape.
Only after Iruka declared the match over did Sasuke's sour mood finally ease.
Still, he couldn't shake the feeling that something about Natsuki was off. Even if he said he was out of chakra, he hadn't looked the least bit exhausted. So was this guy just hiding his true strength on purpose?
And he waited until after beating me up to pretend to give up.
Was he treating me like a joke?
