Chapter 43 - Chapter 43

Natsuki naturally agreed and began carefully explaining the training method for Taiyōken.

In fact, since Shino had already learned Tekkai, learning Taiyōken wouldn't be hard. But absorbing the properties of external objects into the body was still dangerous, so it was best to be cautious—especially during early training. He recommended using shadow clones to try it first.

Also, training should be done indoors with all windows and doors shut.

Now that the Uchiha Police Force was gone, Konoha was like a sieve—spies were everywhere. They had to be careful this trump card didn't get leaked.

Very soon, Shino memorized the entire training method.

As for Tenten, she was with Natsuki nearly every day before graduation anyway, so he would just teach her personally.

"By the way, part of the intel my dad pulled through backdoor connections has arrived—come take a look."

Tenten pulled out the scroll she'd been browsing earlier. "This pile is information about ninja tools, and this one is about summoning beasts. Help me go over them, and if there's anything you want, just say it—we'll figure out a way to get it."

Tenten was clearly excited.

After all, her path forward was focused on ninja tool mastery and summoning jutsu.

As long as she could acquire powerful ninja tools and contract a strong summon, plus the body enhancements from Natsuki's repeated lightning stimulation, her physical strength and chakra reserves would steadily grow. Even if she didn't reach Kage level, elite jōnin was practically guaranteed.

Natsuki opened one scroll and immediately froze. "The ninja tools from Takumi Village?"

He stared at the intel—it detailed the Takumi Village's legendary four-piece ninja tool set: Infinite Hole Armor, Dragon Eye Extendable Blade, Peacock Twin Blades, and Lightsaber.

Weren't these from an anime-original arc?

Did that mean this world included anime originals? Maybe even movie content?

Natsuki wasn't sure. But he did know those four tools were genuinely impressive. The Infinite Hole Armor could absorb chakra, the Dragon Eye Extendable Blade could be lengthened or shortened by adjusting chakra flow and even turn into three dragon heads, the Peacock Twin Blades could manipulate wind and unleash wind slashes, and the Lightsaber could fire beams of light and flame.

And the best part? They barely consumed any chakra.

On top of that, the four could be combined for an even greater power boost.

If Tenten—a ninja tool specialist—could obtain this set, her strength would instantly leap past chūnin. She could probably hold off a jōnin, and after mastering them, she'd definitely be on jōnin level.

What were they waiting for?

Natsuki handed the scroll to Tenten. "Take a look at this—you're a perfect fit for them!"

Tenten's eyes lit up as she read. She immediately saw how much these tools could boost her combat power.

But she couldn't help but complain, "Natsuki, we're not bandits. We can't just steal other people's stuff. What if it ruins Konoha's reputation?"

"Tenten, did you read the intel properly?"

Natsuki chuckled. "These tools are currently in the hands of four Takumi Village ninjas who call themselves the Four Celestial Symbols Men. They're basically criminals who go around causing trouble. Taking their tools is just doing the world a favor. Besides, we can post a bounty at the Exchange Pavilion—as long as our names don't get exposed, it's all good."

In truth, Natsuki wasn't worried at all.

The Four Celestial Symbols guys really were bad news.

And those who accepted Exchange Pavilion jobs weren't saints either—take someone like Kakuzu. If he went after the bounty, he'd probably kill them all and grab the loot without a second thought.

So what's to worry about? Just take them!

"Alright then! That four-piece set is mine!" Tenten agreed without hesitation.

Just then, Shino passed over another scroll. "Most of the other tools are nothing special, but the Seven Swords of Kirigakure are worth a look. I've heard of them before."

Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist?

Tenten took the scroll and saw the bizarre weapons. She hesitated.

Especially after realizing they were tied to Kirigakure, she didn't really want to get involved.

After all, Kirigakure was one of the five great villages. If they stole their iconic tools, the retaliation could be a nightmare.

Natsuki saw her hesitation and patiently explained:

"Tenten, maybe you've never heard of the swordsmen's backstory, or Kirigakure's situation. Back in the Great Ninja War, the Mist sent the Seven Swordsmen to ambush Konoha. Each of the seven was an elite jōnin with a sword tailored to them, and when working together, they could even kill a Kage!"

"That powerful?!"

Tenten and Shino were shocked. They could hardly imagine it.

"Yup! But before they could even reach the village gates, four of them were killed on the spot by a senior named Might Duy. The remaining three ran away like dogs and never dared step into the Land of Fire again. Afterward, the group reformed, but a Bloody Mist rebellion broke out. One by one, the swordsmen defected and became rogue ninjas."

"So now, the seven swords are out in the wild. If we get them from missing-nin, what's the issue?"

None at all!

And those swords were powerful—definitely worth acquiring.

Tenten got excited. "So, we keep posting bounties at the Exchange Pavilion?"

Natsuki quickly stopped her. "Don't be hasty. Not all the swords suit you, and some are tricky to handle. For example, Samehada has its own will. If you're not strong enough, it won't acknowledge you—you'll never control it. And the Executioner's Blade just absorbs blood to repair itself. Honestly, kind of lame. No need to bother with it."

Tenten calmed down and reread the intel. Eventually, she made her choice. "Then I'll put a bounty on Kiba, the Thunder Swords. They seem really good."

Natsuki nodded.

Kiba was indeed excellent. With just chakra input, it could unleash lightning attacks both up close and at range. In thunderstorm weather, it could even summon lightning from the sky. Extremely powerful.

Tenten's lightning affinity wasn't bad either, so it was a perfect match.

In the anime-original arc, it was Team Guy and Naruto who fought the sword wielders of Kiba. If it weren't filler, Tenten could've totally claimed the blades herself, and her strength would've skyrocketed.

Now that this world included filler plots, he might as well hand Kiba over to her.

Beyond that, Tenten had her eyes on some other unique tools. She planned to issue secret bounties later to keep them as hidden trump cards.

Then came the summoning beasts.

Shino read through a few scrolls before saying, "Actually, the Aburame clan has special summons—giant insects. I'll ask my dad about them when I get back."

As expected of a big clan—they had everything.

Natsuki and Tenten discussed it and settled on one. "Then let's go with these Highland Giant Eagles. Not only are they strong, they can carry people and deliver messages—super practical."

As for how to get one? Simple. Post a bounty and have someone deliver the contract scroll.

Money really did make life easier!

Tenten beamed. "By the way, Natsuki, continue the story from before. About that Might Duy senior…"
