Claire turned to leave.
She had already recognized the men seated inside, leaders from both domestic and international business circles who had attended the negotiation meeting tonight. And the one seated beside Gilbert Watson was none other than the Deputy Minister of Commerce.
The very scene she had tried to avoid had instead drawn her in.
"Minister Harris, allow me to introduce Miss Daisy, an internationally renowned perfume expert. She's remarkably talented, with unique research in perfumery, a rare gem indeed." The man had already begun his introduction, leading her toward Minister Harris.
"Miss Daisy, welcome home. We're delighted to see such expertise return to contribute to our industry." Minister Harris greeted her warmly, extending his hand.
Claire had no choice but to shake it with a polite smile. "Minister Harris, you flatter me. I'm hardly an expert. I only wish to carry forward my mother's legacy."
