His expression darkened as he rose from the couch and walked outside to take the call in private.
"Sir, we've received confirmation. A private jet landed in Port this afternoon. On board was Derek Lee, CEO of the Lee Group."
At the sound of that name, Dante's eyes turned sharp and cold. He stared out into the pitch-black night surrounding the estate, his thoughts unreadable. So, they had arrived sooner than expected.
"They're staying at the HJ Hotel. Should we—"
A cold chuckle escaped his lips. His gaze flickered with a trace of mockery. "You want to make it obvious she's with me? Just act like we don't know a thing."
"Yes, sir."
"And one more thing," he added quietly, his face unreadable under the dim porch light. "Lauren Duren has seen Bonnie's face. You know what to do."
The voice on the line replied without hesitation. "Understood. I'll make sure Miss Duren stays silent."
