All three cars of my convoy rolled out of the compound towards the direction of the hospital while Idris drove his car towards the opposite direction, heading for his home. I rode with Nicole, and Levi who was resting comfortably against Nicole, and who had become a little bit more lively than he had been at first.
Maybe he was just hungry, or maybe it was the absence of his siblings that made him look so pale. I had thought about asking him questions but wouldn't that be traumatic for him?
Nicole was deep in thoughts but her expression was totally peaceful. Somehow she had managed to hold on to her faith that we would get the other children, and somehow I had believed in her faith.
