Chapter 3
Sebastian held the wire in his hand, a cold glint in his eyes. "There's no mistaking it... it's Donna"
"Come on donna! You know i don't like hide and seek"
A figure emerged from the shadows with a mocking grin. "Well, well, well…"
"if it isn't Sebastian Wolf, the leader of the Emerald."
Sebastian smirked. "Well, well, well... if it isn't the fatty kingdom destroyer"
Donna moved fast unleashing another wire towards them but sebastian cut it in half
He looked at her his eyes flashing with angry
I dont know why but i feel like they have history between them or is it just me who feels this tension between themmm
"Aw, is little Seb angry? What are you gonna do about it? Bite me?"
Sebastian gripped his daggers tighter "Do you want to test me?"
"You know how it goes when that happens don't you?"
"Is that supposed to scare me?"
Before the tension could escalate the doors burst open the royal guard behind it "Enough, both of you!"
He turned to Sebastian. "How did you even know Donna was here?"
Flashback timeee
The King whispered something into the Royal Guard's ear, a command shrouded in secrecy to send Donna to assassinate Sukiro. But Elijah the noisy obviously listened in with his magic .
Sebastian shrugged. "I have my ways."
The Royal Guard's eyes narrowed. "You spied on the royal family. That is a serious offense often resulting in death sebastian"
"Who here is strong enough to kill me" sebastian slowly walked towards the guard
"Definitely not someone like you" he smirked looking at the 7 foot guard
"Your arrogance is remarkable"
"It's not arrogance.."
"Just the truth"
The guard's face twisted with angry as he looked down at sebastian
"You imbecile…." his face darkened
"If you are a man"
The guard slowly took out his glove
"You will duel with me tomorrow"
"noon"
"I accept your challenge." he smirked mocking him
"Then tomorrow at dawn, Come to the stadium, don't run away."
"Wasn't that supposed to be my line?"
Sebastian out here putting everyone in their place I am team sebastian!!!!
Sukiro stood still clueless of what's happening around him
And still naked..
Sebastian grabbed some clothes and threw them at him..
And they fell into the water
"Put on some clothes.."
"You are naked right now just so you know"
The sun drew back into the darkness has night arrived
The party gathered in their house which they rarely used, given that they were out most of the time with the weight of the coming duel pressing heavily upon them.
"Sebastian what did you do!?" sapphire yelled in disbelief
"You are telling me you challenged the royal guard? The one responsible to the entire army of the kingdom to a duel!?"
"I mean he challenged me i just accepted"
"Did I ask you that?!"
"Sorry…"
"Do you know that once you defeat him we might have to face huge consequences and that they might, I don't know, hold a grudge against us!?"
Klaus nodded. "She has a point seb this only brings more trouble to us and not the good kind"
Elijah was sat in a corner leaning against the wall "they hate us anyways"
Everyone turned around
"I mean the guard and the army doesn't exactly love us even that so called king, he only cares about his 'polished marble floors' he doesn't even care about his own family" it felt like.. He knew too much
"I say you accept this go out there beat the guard's ass and show him that's there's levels to power"
Sirius shrugged. "Whatever Seb decides if you want to duel or whatever. I'm with that."
"I can't let this moment slip those bastards attacked a innocent kid who was in a middle of a bath at the time"
"That sounds weird" elijah muttered
The house was silent for a bit
Sapphire spoke up, her voice now was quiet and concerned "Just be careful okay?"
"I will you already know that"
"Is there any food around here?" Sukiro asked out of nowhere.
"We forgot to feed him..." sapphire spoke what everyone thought
Elijah stared blankly "He eats?"
Sebastian sighed, placing his palm on his head. "Obviously, he's human unlike you dumbass."
Sapphire stood up with excitement "well it's time for food then! Come on sebastian it's time to cook" her eyes gleamed with infectious energy
Sebastian on the other hand instantly died internally "i see…"
"how about some stew?" Before Sebastian could reply "with steak and tea!" she smiled
"haaa… we have a new member anyways.."
The party sat down to eat after sapphire and sebastian set the table.
Elijah gleamed with happiness his face shining like a star "it's about time we have steak for dinner i haven't ate anything good in so longg"
Sirius nodded "yea the last time we ate good was before going to that S rank dungeon"
"You mean 5 days ago?" klaus asked
"Ya mr nerd"
"Who?"
"You"
And so the battle began on the dining table..
Sapphire looked over the table, some enjoying the meal, some killing each other? "What about you sukiro? you like it?"
Sukiro hadn't said anything he was silent since the beginning and now all eyes were on him even elijah who pretended he didn't care was kinda interested
"Its.."
"Its good"
Sapphire and sebastian breathed a sigh of relief "thanks sukiro I hoped you would like it"
Sebastian who wanted some attention aswell tried to join in "just so you know guys I did cook as well I made the stew"
What an attention seeker huh.. People this days
Elijah drank the stew slowly placing it back on the table "that explains why this tastes like ass"
"why you!'
Laughter erupted around the table reflecting in that tiny house sukiro began chuckling slowly and sapphire saw it
And she felt a kind of love she had never felt before
Not romantic, or sibling one but she hadn't realised it yet
After all she named the kid..

"now now guys let's just enjoy the food" she smiled
After the shared meal was over everyone headed to their well deserved rest
It was midnight by then. Sebastian was sitting at the stairs at the entrance of the house looking over to the moon and the door behind him slowly opened
It was sapphire. Sebastian breathes a sigh of relief "ohh sapphire amm.. why did you wake up?"
"Why are you awake right now?" She said half asleep her eyes closed
"i couldn't really sleep so I came out to look at the moon"
Sapphire sat besides him offering some much needed comfort
Sebastian's expression changed, maybe shock or happiness could be both "you are a idiot you know?" he smiled
" if- if I am an idiot then you are the bigger idiot"
"i know you are worried about everything that's going on with sukiro, the guard"
Sebastian sighed "I can't hide anything from you can i? I really did make the right choice, right?"
"don't overthink it that's now the mind gets you, i know everything is going to turn out just fine as for sukiro.. He is a"
"He is a kid a good one"
"ohh thanks ms sapphire for your philosophy"
"You might just be the holy saint who cleans my soul of evil!!!"
"Ohh wow and here I was trying to help the poor guy!"
"Maybe the poor guy needs more than just your help?"
The clouds cleared away allowing the moon to shine upon them.. The wind brushed against the trees a gentle breeze that could make you feel cold and contained yet warm and fulfilled
Her heart skipped a beat her face turned a little red
"Shut up idiot!" followed by a clean clean slap across his face
"what did i even do!!"
Everyone retired for the night, hearts heavy with anticipation. The stadium awaited.
Dawn. The Duel Begins.
The group arrived at the grand stadium, where the Royal Guard was already waiting.
"Took you long enough. Were you scared?" the guard jeered.
Sebastian's expression remained calm. "I should be asking you that."
Donna stood nearby. "Is everyone ready" she asked looking at sebastian and the guard for their approval
The guard and Sebastian nodded at her, Donna continued "let the match begin!"
The Royal Guard unsheathed his massive sword, and Sebastian drew a single dagger.
The Guard charged, muscles flexing, but Sebastian slipped past his strike, landing a swift kick to his leg. The guard stumbled back.
"So you think this is a game?!" he roared.
"What's there to think about?" Sebastian replied, cool and collected.
Angered, the guard activated his B-rank skill: Slash and swung his sword with deadly force.
Sebastian deflected the strike with his dagger and jumped onto the blade, using it as leverage to soar above the guard and strike the back of his head with the dagger's handle.
"Is this all you've got? Disappointing."
The guard growled. "Enough! I'll shut your mouth once and for all!" He used his skill

His body grew, muscles bulging, speed increasing.
He swung his sword again and again but sebastian humiliated him by just dodging the attacks
"So you wanna die you bastard!!, huh?!" the guard yelled enraged. A-rank skill: Protector of
the Royal Family [100% output]
Elijah, watching from above, stood up abruptly. "Wait... that skill is illegal in a sparring match! It's only allowed when protecting the royal family!"
Sapphire gasped. "He's right!"
Sirius turned to the king. "This is illegal! You have to stop him!"
The king shrugged. "We can't interfere now, can we?"
"You have always been like this haven't you playing dirty!" elijah yelled as he locked eyes with the king
The guard's sword burst into flames an armour of flames surrounded his body
Sebastian grinned. "Well, I guess I can use both daggers now. B-rank skill: Slash Activate [90% output]
In bright flash sebastian was on the other side of the guard their backs facing against each other
And then the armour broke down falling to the ground shattered
Sebastian sheathed his daggers with a smirk on his face . "There goes down the protector of the royal family."
But before anyone could celebrate, a spell circle appeared beneath him.
A sealing spell. Ten mages in the crowd had cast it simultaneously, freezing Sebastian in place for three seconds.
Another barrier sealed the rest of the team.
From the shadows, Donna unleashed a wire, aiming straight for Sukiro's head.
