Chapter 150: Planetary Ecosystem Transformation
Astral Express, Observation Car.
Himeko sat on a dark gold sofa, her long, elegant legs crossed, gracefully sipping a steaming cup of coffee.
On the table rested a device wirelessly linked to a satellite, from which a sapphire-blue beam shot forth, projecting a hologram.
The screen live-streamed the ongoing Grand Guardian inauguration ceremony on Belobog.
"With a Grand Guardian like this, Belobog's situation should improve significantly, right?"
Himeko smiled gently, watching the jubilant, cheering crowds.
However, next to the 32-inch holographic screen broadcasting the Grand Guardian inauguration ceremony, a tablet-sized, pale blue virtual screen suddenly popped up.
"Hm?"
Himeko's delicate brow twitched. Upon seeing the content displayed on the projection, she abruptly placed her coffee cup on the table.
"What is this!"
Warning symbols flashed on the screen, accompanied by a faint red glow. The satellite detected an extremely massive energy surge brewing in space.
While the energy had not yet reached the level of an Emanator, it far surpassed that of ordinary Pathstriders, powerful enough to alter a planet's ecological environment!
Most critically, the energy source was extremely close!
Less than a hundred kilometers away—a distance seemingly vast, yet on a cosmic scale, it was practically face-to-face.
It was right in Jarilo-VI's low-Earth orbit!
"What's going on?" Himeko felt a fleeting moment of bewilderment.
The Express had been orbiting Jarilo-VI for such a long time, and external planetary monitoring had detected no anomalies. Yet, such a powerful energy signature suddenly appeared out of nowhere?
Her expression instantly serious, Himeko picked up the device and swiftly operated the satellites orbiting the Express, locking onto the energy source.
The projection screen revealed the true form of the energy source.
"A satellite?" Surprise and doubt filled Himeko's voice.
"No, not an ordinary satellite. It can block the Express's satellite detection and possesses optical stealth capabilities."
On the screen, the satellite, equipped with double fan-like wings, materialized out of thin air in the optical detector.
The Herrscher of Wind could control the refraction of light in the air, and a Divine Key crafted from a Herrscher of Wind core could achieve the same. Of course, there is no air in space, but it could create other ideal fluids to deflect light.
"And this energy waveform and its parameters... is this Honkai energy? How could this be?"
Finding the energy waveform parameters somewhat familiar, Himeko recalled Herta's Honkai energy detection report flashing through her mind, a look of surprise crossing her face.
Soon, Himeko temporarily cast her doubts aside. A satellite orbital cannon control panel popped up beside her, and her gaze fixed on the satellite's movements displayed on the screen.
The now uncloaked satellite quickly moved in low orbit, finally coming to a halt directly above Belobog. A faint, cerulean glow bloomed from its head-mounted device.
Growing brighter and brighter, the light's intensity soon surpassed what the human eye could directly withstand, transforming from cerulean to emerald green, like the awakening of a long-slumbering sky god.
Then, the ultimate emerald green began to spread outwards from the satellite's center.
"This is!" Himeko's pupils contracted for a moment.
Almost simultaneously.
Everyone gathered in Belobog's Administrative District Plaza, following Caelus's raised hand, made a unified motion: they looked up, gazing at the sky.
In an instant, the entire world fell silent.
This included Stelle, who had been desperately rushing towards the podium like a Husky fighting for food, as well as March 7th and Dan Heng, who were desperately holding her back—all of them collectively looked up at the sky.
As far as the eye could see, the entire world was breathtakingly beautiful.
The pale sky, where a few snowflakes still drifted, the silver-clad mountains and ice peaks, and the endless snowfields—all were dyed verdant green and azure.
It was raining!
This was a rain like no other throughout the ages. Countless emerald breezes formed an ocean, pouring down overwhelmingly, drenching everything.
Even after the previous Super Luminal Emissary's solar fire and the Stellaron explosion had dispersed the thick snow clouds accumulated over centuries, the sky had remained a pale, hazy color due to the climate, even after the clouds scattered.
But now, it had changed.
The entire world seemed to have been washed clean in a matter of minutes!
For generations, the people of Belobog had never seen such a clear, azure sky. Beams of inspiration directly pierced this frozen planet for the first time, bringing unprecedented light.
A mighty heavenly wind swept through, softening the hard permafrost, and no snowflakes could be seen flying anymore.
Ice and snow melted at a visible pace, ice layers fractured into countless fragments, drawn by an unseen force to gather into rivers and lakes.
The ocean, after seven hundred years, reappeared on this ice-bound planet that had suffered such bitter cold!
Even Jarilo-VI's terrain and environment, which were unsuitable for human habitation before the arrival of the great cold tide, had undergone massive changes.
The plaza, gathered with tens of thousands, perhaps over a hundred thousand people, became utterly silent; a pin drop would have been audible.
Including residents who had remained in their homes due to the plaza's limited capacity, they rushed out, calling friends and summoning companions to witness the divine manifestation.
Everyone stared blankly at this miraculous scene.
Stunned by this world-creating, rebirth-like spectacle!
The elderly historians of Qlipoth Palace wept tears of joy, their trembling hands writing down a record on their notebooks destined for future generations.
In the first year of New Belobog, Grand Guardian Bronya, the avatar of Jarilo, God of Spring, ascended the throne and became betrothed to Caelus, the hero of salvation. Divine and sovereign grace flowed abundantly; spring winds showered the land, ice melted, and life flourished!
Gentle spring breezes and bright sunlight illuminated the rivers and seas, making them beautiful as a fairy tale.
"Am I... am I dreaming?"
Great Seele rubbed her eyes vigorously, gazing in disbelief at the clear, washed-blue sky and the sight of ice and snow melting into water, nourishing the earth.
Even Natasha, as mature and composed as she was, was utterly dumbfounded. Little Hook's reaction was relatively better compared to the adults around her.
"Wow, green rain! The sky is so blue!"
Well, it was just that due to her height in the crowd, little Hook could only see the changes in the sky. She hopped excitedly, gazing up at the blue sky.
"The snow... it's melted!"
Serval, on the second floor of the Mechanical House, was still trembling slightly. After a brief moment of daze, she immediately turned and rushed toward the rooftop.
"Sis, wait for me!" Lynx stumbled after her.
The two ran to the rooftop, a place they rarely visited, and gazed into the distance.
"It's really all melted!" In Serval's blue eyes, there was only the boundless expanse of water merging with the sky.
Lynx gently took off her cat-ear plush hat, letting the pleasant, gentle spring breeze caress her, feeling the warm sunlight bathe her whole body.
What she saw, and what she felt, had completely surpassed Lynx's capacity for imagination.
"Is that... the ocean described in books?"
She pointed her finger toward the vast expanse of blue in the distance, her small mouth opening slightly, mumbling, racking her brain and exhausting her vocabulary, yet unable to find the words to describe it.
Although there were fountains within Belobog, precious city land naturally couldn't be used to design landscapes like lakes or ponds. And outside, in the ice and snow, unfrozen bodies of water were impossible to find.
To see the ocean described in books!
This was one of Lynx's wishes.
Standing atop the high platform, Bronya's mind was on the verge of complete shutdown, experiencing the same bewilderment as the millions of Belobog residents regarding this transformed world.
A high, clear, pure blue sky.
Leisurely drifting white clouds.
Azure water nourishing the land.
And a warm spring breeze, utterly devoid of chill.
Everything was beyond Bronya's imagination. This scenery, which would be entirely normal in the eyes of most civilizations, was truly like a fairy-tale dream for her, for the entire civilization of Belobog.
"Well, Bronya? Do you like this gift?"
A voice, lazy with a hint of imperceptible weariness, came from beside her. Bronya turned her head blankly, looking at the grey-haired youth who smiled as brightly as sunshine.
"Th-th-this... a gift!?"
Bronya was lost in thought, as if in a dream. Even facing her mother's betrayal and death, and the sudden appearance of her parallel-world self, she had managed to control her grief and shock.
But witnessing the scene of melting ice and snow and the warm spring breeze, Bronya completely lost control of her emotions, too overwhelmed to speak.
"Heh, you could say it's an inauguration gift from Silver Wing and me."
Raven, Seele, and Li Sushang—all three bodies poured their Honkai energy into this Zero-Rated Power activation. The terrifying consumption made Caelus feel an unprecedented fatigue.
"However, for now, only the glaciers and snowfields within a two-hundred-kilometer radius centered on Belobog have completely melted."
"As for more distant areas, for now, it's just accelerating the cessation of wind and snow. To melt all the ice and snow on this planet, it might take over ten years."
"A two-hundred-kilometer radius..."
"Over ten years...?"
Bronya's expression remained dazed.
Even after sealing the Stellaron, she had never truly expected to see the wind die down and the snow melt in her lifetime. And now, Caelus told her it would only take a little over ten years...
"Mhm." Caelus nodded.
If Raven, Seele, and Li Sushang continuously used Zero-Rated Power, it would only take a few years, but there was no need.
"Caelus..."
"Hm?"
"Mgh..."
With her emotions completely out of control, Bronya disregarded the tens of thousands of people present, stood on her tiptoes, and passionately kissed Caelus's lips.
She had already intended to follow Silver Wing's suggestion and let herself fall for Caelus out of a desire to compensate him. Now, Bronya found that it didn't seem difficult at all; it was incredibly simple.
As for this form of expression, it was also subtly taught by Silver Wing.
"Lord Caelus! Lord Divine One!"
"Lady Bronya! The Divine Avatar of the God of Spring!"
The deathly silence in the plaza lasted until the completion of this world-shattering power activation. Then, earth-shattering shouts erupted, with cheers and screams echoing ceaselessly!
Countless people wept tears of joy!
Belobog became unprecedentedly vibrant. People gathered in the streets and plazas, celebrating the sudden arrival of happiness.
