Floating thrones emptied one by one as the Progenitors left the Convocation chamber. Michael was the first to speak after the formal end, wings still tight against his back.
"I will send only the quiet ones," he told the remaining few. "No banners, no open flights. If these two are already inside the Vampire Realm, loud angels will only tell them we know. My scouts will watch from the edges and report through sealed channels."
Fenrir cracked his neck, golden eyes hard. "My packs are already moving. I will not wait for permission. If the Vampire Realm starts burning, the rest of us are next. Better to have claws ready than to howl after the fact."
Inari's nine tails slowed their restless motion. "I will begin weaving new barriers between the major realms. It will not stop beings of that level, but it may buy hours. Hours are sometimes enough."
