"The Devil Kissed by Morning Light"
The morning sunlight poured in through the window of the college dormitory and fell obliquely on Nick's pale cheeks. He frowned, turned over, shrank himself into the quilt, and shook his tail lazily and put it outside the quilt.
Ellis stood by the bed and looked down at the bedridden demon, with obvious helplessness in his eyes. He was holding a cup of warm black coffee, and in the other hand, he was holding a breakfast plate that had just been brought out of the kitchen, which contained the food that Knicks wanted to eat.
"Nix, it's time to get up." Ellis's voice was steady, with unquestionable calmness as usual.
The devil on the bed hummed and turned over, shook his tail impatiently, and half-opened his amber eyes to look at him: "Elise... Do you know that you are really annoying?"
Ellis raised her eyebrows slightly, put the breakfast on the table, then bent down and reached for the corner of the quilt and lifted it gently. Nix suddenly bounced up like a hair, his hair was messy, and his eyes were full of protest: "You cold-blooded and ruthless guy!"
"Hmm." Ellis answered without saying yes, put the coffee on the table, and said lightly, "If you get up for breakfast now, I can consider not letting you copy the book for me today."
Nix blinked and stared at Ellis, as if judging the authenticity of his words. Then, he smelled the breakfast on the table, and the seductive aroma made his stomach rumble without fighting.
He curled his lips and sat up reluctantly: "...You'd better not lie to me."
Ellis didn't answer, but just pushed the food in front of him. Nix picked up the fork, took a bite of the food, and his eyes widened slightly. He quickly recovered his indifferent look, but his tail swayed behind him unconsciously.
Ellis looked at his movements, and the corners of his mouth curled invisiblely.

"Ellis, can you accompany me to the market?" Nicks lay lazily on the desk, looking out through the window.
Ellis closed the book and looked up at him: "The reason?"
"I want to buy something." Nicke came up with an excuse casually, "Didn't you want me to learn to handle things by myself?"
Ellis looked at him quietly for a while, and Nicks was a little guilty of being stared at, pretending to look away. Finally, Ellis sighed and stood up: "Let's go."
Nix immediately jumped off the chair, and his tail came with a happy curve.
People come and go in the market, and there are shouts of selling. Nix quickly got into the crowd excitedly, looking around at the gadgets on the stall. Ellis followed behind, with her hands wrapped around her chest, watching him shuttle back and forth between different stalls.
"How about this?" Nix raised a crystal pendant and swayed it in front of Ellis, "I heard that it can bring good luck."
Ellis glanced at it indifferently: "Do you need this?"
Nix smiled and said, "Of course I don't need it, but--" he pushed the pendant in the direction of Ellis. "You may need it."
Allison paused and looked down at the crystal. In the end, he reached for it and put it in his pocket casually. Nicks wagged his tail proudly and continued to pick other small things.
Ellis touched the crystal in his pocket and sighed softly.

The college was particularly quiet at night, with only a breeze passing through the window lattice, bringing the sound of the pages gently turning over.
Ellis sat at the desk, looked at the manuscript on the desk, and tapped the paper with his fingers. He rubbed his eyebrows irritably, stood up and went to the balcony to get some air.
In the night, Knicks sat on the railing, his legs swayed, and his tail gently put on his side. He glanced sideways at Ellis and smiled, "What, don't you write a book?"
Elis did not answer, but walked over, stood beside him, and looked at the night sky.
"Ellis." Nicks suddenly called him softly.
Ellis looked down at him: "Hmm?"
Nix stared at him, and his golden eyes flashed with a strange light in the night. He seemed to want to say something, but in the end he just smiled and shook his feet gently: "Nothing."
Ellis was silent for a moment, then stretched out his hand and rubbed his hair.
Nix was stunned and his eyes widened: "What are you doing?"
"Your hair is too messy." Ellis said casually, and his tone was as calm as ever.
Nix was stunned for two seconds, and then suddenly laughed: "Ellis, are you too kind to me?"
Ellis didn't answer, but patted his head gently: "Go to bed."
Knicks stared at him for a while, and his tail quietly circled the railing and gently touched Ellis's wrist.
"All right." He jumped off the railing with a smile and walked into the room.
Ellis stood still and looked down at the thin red line on his wrist - it was the tail mark left by Nicks inadvertently, slightly cool but unexpectedly warm.
