Arthur took out a Red Rune. It was still glowing in bright crimson while exuding an ominous aura that made my spine shiver.
'Where did you get that?' I asked while staring in horror.
'I took it after killing Iskara. I realized that it was a Red Rune, so I decided to take it just in case.' He said. I could see signs of him being weakened because he was trying to fight off the dark energy exuding from the rune.
'Arthur, this rune is still corrupted. Also, we just created your Rune Tree, and your core is not that powerful enough to handle two runes.' I said.
Arthur shook his head. 'Professor, trust me in this one. I know what I'm doing. If you think I didn't study my own core and about Runes, then I wouldn't be doing this in the first place. So, trust me in this one.'
I sighed. No matter how many excuses or warnings I want to give to him, his eyes were determined to put the rune to his core.
'Fine. But, if something bad happens, I will interrupt and save you.' I said, taking the Red Rune from him.
'Thank you.' He said.
'Since this one still has corrupted energy, how will you cleanse it?' I asked.
'I won't.' He said, making me surprised.
'What?'
'I will convert it to mine.' He said. 'Just trust me in this one.'
Without asking anymore question, we began to put the second rune stone to his Rune Tree.
