We stepped into the Grand Celestial Chamber, and as the golden light washed over us, a familiar presence, overwhelming and serene, pulsed in the air. There he stood—Veldanava, the Creator God, my elder brother. Calm, radiant, timeless.
Before I could even open my mouth, Ramiris darted forward with her usual boundless energy, arms outstretched like a child seeing a long-lost friend.
"VELDANAVA! How are you!" she practically shouted, grinning wide as always.
Veldanava chuckled lightly, the sound deep and soothing, as if the very fabric of space paused to listen.
"Ah, Ramiris. You're here too. It's good to see an old friend." His warm gaze turned curious. "But… why are you here, exactly?"
She pointed to me without missing a beat. "I accompanied Velsun!" she said proudly, wings fluttering.
A small knowing smile spread across Veldanava's face as his golden eyes shifted toward me. "Oh? Are you two… like, together?"
I raised an eyebrow and let out a small chuckle. "Not yet, elder brother," I said with a smile, glancing at Ramiris just in time to see her cheeks tint a light pink.
"H-Hmph! I just didn't want him getting lost again! That's all!" she turned away slightly, arms crossed, pouting—but the fluster in her tone was very much noticeable.
Veldanava laughed heartily. "Some things never change," he said fondly, eyes gleaming. "Well then, let's talk, Velsun. There are… matters that concern the family"
His tone had shifted. Still kind—but a little serious.
I nodded. "Right. Let's talk."
Veldanava's words hit the room like a thunderclap.
"Our sibling is going to be coming."
Ramiris and I exchanged startled glances, both of us caught off guard. The weight of that statement settled deep inside me.
"Oh... so Veldora is about to be born," I thought to myself, the name feeling heavy yet familiar.
. "Where, elder brother? And more importantly… when?" I asked curious.
Veldanava smiled softly, that calm, ancient smile that held the knowledge of eons.
"It's in the northern mountains. The storms there have become fierce, and the magicules gathering are unlike anything we've seen in ages. Such a convergence can only mean one thing—the birth of a true dragon."
My heart raced. A true dragon... the sibling I knew I'd have.
Veldora
"And you want me to accompany you to witness it?" I asked, already knowing the answer.
He nodded. "Yes, Velsun. This is a momentous event—one that may shift the balance of everything. I want you there, by my side."
Ramiris grinned, eyes sparkling with excitement, but I could see the quiet awe beneath.
I took a deep breath, feeling the weight and thrill of destiny calling again.
"Then let's not waste any time."
The winds howled like a wild beast as we descended into the desolate northern mountains. Thunder rumbled overhead, and jagged lightning ripped across the darkened skies. My golden hair whipped furiously behind me, the storm's raw energy electrifying the air around us.
Ramiris clung tightly to my side, her fairy wings fluttering against the raging gusts. Veldanava walked with the steady confidence of an ancient god, unshaken by the tempest, while the six primordial beings flanked us like living legends, their presence filling the stormy mountain with an almost sacred weight.
Zalario stayed behind in Solara, entrusted with protecting our kingdom, so it was just the seven of us here—me, Ramiris, Veldanava, and the primordial guardians—ready to witness the birth of a true dragon.
The storm's fury was overwhelming, yet amidst the chaos, a powerful, almost reverent silence seemed to settle deep within the heart of the mountain.
Something monumental was about to happen.
The winds screamed with untamed power as the air itself shimmered with dense magicules. Lightning coiled like serpents through the sky, and the very ground beneath our feet trembled from the raw, primal force gathering around us.
In the center of a crater, glowing with arcs of blue and violet energy, lay an enormous egg, swirling with radiant magic. It pulsed like a heartbeat—slow, steady, inevitable. The egg was bluish-purple in hue, glowing from within like a divine furnace.
I narrowed my eyes as the light intensified, shielding Ramiris instinctively with a wing as she stared wide-eyed, captivated.
Then Veldanava stepped forward, the storm parting slightly in reverence to his presence. He smiled, golden eyes warm and steady despite the chaos."This is it," he said, voice calm but firm. "He is about to arrive."
Suddenly, a blinding flash of purple light burst from the egg, casting our shadows long across the stone. Cracks spiderwebbed across its surface, glowing lines of power surging outward—and then with a mighty shatter, the egg broke apart, its fragments scattered into the air like stardust.
We all watched—me, Ramiris, the Primordials, even Veldanava himself—as from within the heart of the light, a figure emerged.
A magnificent young dragon, adorned in storm-blue scales with glowing violet markings, uncoiled himself from the remains of the egg. His eyes gleamed with curiosity and power, like an ancient storm seeing the world for the first time. Sparks flickered from his wings as clouds formed and churned above in response to his birth.
He let out a newborn roar—unrefined but echoing with true dragon might. The mountain trembled in awe.
Then, stepping forward with unmatched authority, Veldanava spread his arms.
"I, Veldanava, your elder brother and king of the cardinal world, shall name you. Born of the lineage of true dragons, born from the essence of storm itself..."
The newborn dragon tilted his head, understanding despite his youth.
"Your name shall be... Veldora. Veldora, the Storm Dragon."
At the naming, the winds howled in celebration. The clouds above split open, and a pillar of light rained down upon the newborn dragon. The name echoed across the mountains, etched into the very soul of the world.
And in that moment, the family of true dragons welcomed a new sibling into the eternal sky.
The sky reverberated with the force of his joy.
"Hahahaha! I'm Veldora! Veldora the Storm Dragon!!" Theyoung dragon bellowed, his laughter booming like thunder through the mountains. His wings flared wide, stirring the storm around him, and lightning crackled like it was celebrating with him.
Just then, Mimir's voice echoed calmly in my mind.
"Lad, just so you know... Veldora now possesses the highest magicule count among all living beings, besides you and Lord Veldanava himself."
My eyes widened slightly."...Seriously?" I thought.
I turned to glance at the roaring dragon with a bit more awe. He was just born—a few minutes ago—and he already carried that much magicule? For reference, it took a full quarter of Veldanava's magicules just to name me, and I was born of the sun, a being of immense scale.
Yet Veldora, still playful, raw, and unrefined, already stood shoulder-to-shoulder with us in power—no, maybe even more terrifying with time. The storms he summoned didn't just rage—they danced for him. The magic in the air bent to his will instinctively.
"This little guy might just become the strongest of us all one day," I muttered under my breath with a grin, arms crossed, watching as he soared above and twirled through the storm clouds, roaring with joy.
Veldora's golden eyes narrowed with curiosity, his tail twitching with excitement as the winds howled behind him."Hey! I don't know why, but I'm itching to have a fight!" he declared, wings flaring as lightning sparked around him."So hey—since you're the one who named me—wanna fight me?"
Veldanava chuckled with a rich, warm laugh, folding his arms casually."Veldora, call me elder brother from now on. And no—I won't be fighting you. But…" his gaze shifted sideways with a mischievous glint, "maybe your other elder brother, Velsun, won't mind sparring with you."
I blinked. "...Huh?" My brow raised slowly as I turned my head toward him, confused and slightly betrayed. You really just threw me under the bus, huh, elder brother? I thought dryly.
Then Veldora turned to look me up and down, his expression clearly unimpressed."This guy?" he muttered, squinting like he couldn't believe it."He seems pretty weak to me."
There was a beat of silence. Then…
"...This brat," I thought, my eye twitching slightly.
Suddenly, the air grew heavier around me as I instinctively let out a wave of heat, golden-orange light radiating faintly off my skin. The clouds above pulsed in response.
"You really want to test that theory, hatchling?" I said with a smirk, my voice low, calm—but with a fiery undertone.
Ramiris floated a little further back."Oooh no. That's the 'true dragon pride' look. Veldora, you messed up."
Veldora, oblivious to the rising pressure, grinned wide, "Heh. Let's go then, weak-looking elder brother!"
I cracked my neck slowly, fire crackling behind my eyes."Alright, then. Let me give you your first lesson as a true dragon." Don't underestimate the Sun.
