Ashura stood tall once more, his form flickering as it began to heal, his three heads grinning with unfathomable confidence. "You think you can end me so easily, Velsun? Hahaha! I am eternal! I will never fall!" he roared, his body shifting and reshaping as his healing powers went into overdrive.
I smirked, feeling the intense pressure of this battle building up. His determination was something to be respected, but I wasn't done either.
"Exactly," I muttered, my eyes glowing with intensity. "LIGHT MODE!" I shouted, and in an instant, my entire body became enveloped in light magic, the brilliant energy surging around me like a radiant cocoon. My golden wings stretched out further, and I could feel my power soar to new heights. The speed of light itself coursed through me, the world around me seeming to slow as I became an extension of pure brilliance.
The air around me crackled with raw energy, and everything in my surroundings became a blur, as I moved faster than even Ashura's senses could track. I surged forward, my body a streak of light, faster than the very space itself. The sheer force of my lightning speed shattered the ground beneath me as I charged at Ashura, my claws glowing with radiant power.
Ashura's eyes widened in shock, but his grin remained. "So you're bringing out your full power now?" His voice was thick with excitement, and for a brief moment, I saw something in his eyesârespect. But that was fleeting.
Before he could react, I was already upon him.
I slammed my fist into his chest, the shockwave from the impact creating a crack in the very air around us. The blinding speed at which I struck sent him careening back, his three heads twisting and snarling in fury.
"Try keeping up," I said, my voice ringing out like the echo of a thunderclap as I teleported from one position to another, hitting him with strikes so fast they were nothing but streaks of light.
Each blow from me was like the impact of a collapsing star, and with every hit, Ashura's form cracked, his strength beginning to falter. Yet, his healing continued. "You think this will defeat me?" Ashura roared, but I was already on him again, landing a brutal kick that sent him reeling.
But then, I felt it. The moment I had been waiting for.
I appeared above him in a flash of blinding light, my wings flaring out as I gathered all the energy I had left into my hands, the air vibrating with the sheer force of my magic.
"This ends now, Ashura." My voice was calm, determined, and filled with a quiet finality.
With that, I gathered every ounce of my light energy into a massive beam, focused entirely on Ashura. My golden aura flared to its maximum, the energy of a true dragon now fully igniting. The beam shot down from the heavens with all the destructive force of the sun, collapsing space itself as it struck Ashura.
For a moment, the entire battlefield was bathed in blinding light, and all that could be heard was the roar of destruction.
When the light finally faded, I hovered above Ashura's smoking, battered form. His three heads were no longer grinning, their twisted expressions now subdued as he staggered to his feet, trembling, barely able to stand.
"You fought well, Ashura," I said quietly, gazing down at him with a newfound respect. "But in the end, it was always going to be this way."
Ashura's healing slowed, and his three heads twisted in rage and defiance. But there was no more strength left in his body. His form collapsed, the once-immense giant finally brought to his knees before me.
"You⊠you really are the strongest," Ashura muttered, his voice hoarse. His final smirk never fully faded, despite the defeat. "I never thought I'd meet someone like youâŠ"
I nodded solemnly, watching him closely. "Rest, Ashura. Your battle is over."
The giant king fell silent, and the battlefield grew still. My wings glowed with the last remnants of my light magic, the world around us settling into an eerie calm after the storm of our clash.
Then, as everything was once again nearly ending, all the giants were nearly finished.
I turned to see my elder brother, Veldanava, standing there, I couldn't help but feel a mix of awe and relief. "Aniki?" I muttered under my breath, almost in disbelief that he was here, after all that had transpired. His presence seemed to fill the air with a sense of calm that contrasted sharply with the violent battle we had just fought.
Veldanava, the creator god, was not one to show emotion openly, but the pride in his eyes was unmistakable as he watched me. "You did great work, Velsun. Taking care of Giant King Ashura, that's no small feat," he said with a calm smile, his voice echoing with authority.
I just nodded, feeling a bit sheepish, but pleased. "Uh-huh," I muttered, glancing back at the fallen Ashura, who had been reduced to nothing more than a broken shell of his former self.
Veldanava's eyes narrowed as he stepped forward. His divine aura radiated across the battlefield, bringing with it an overwhelming sense of power and control. He approached Ashura's unconscious body, his divine hands glowing with the very essence of creation. "It's time to end this," he said softly, kneeling beside Ashura.
I watched as he began his ritual. Dividing the Giant King's powers, sealing them, and creating a state of balance once more. With a few deft motions, Veldanava used his godly abilities to separate Ashura's immense power into three different entities. Each piece would now be sealed away, spread across different beings, preventing Ashura from ever reforming into the destructive force he once was.
"This is the only way," Veldanava muttered as he performed the sealing technique. "To ensure the peace of this world and prevent such a threat from ever arising again."
The energy surrounding us shifted, and the very air crackled with divine power. The ritual was complete. Ashura's body, now broken and powerless, lay in front of us like a shadow of his former self. The world seemed to exhale a collective sigh of relief, as though the burden of his existence had finally been lifted.
I stood there, watching the whole process unfold. Despite all the power and might I had unleashed during the battle, it was clear that Veldanava's divine presence still held sway over everything. His control over creation and destruction was absolute. But, in some way, I felt honored to have been able to play my part in this grand scheme.
With a soft sigh, Veldanava stood up, turning to face me once more. "You've come a long way, Velsun," he said, his eyes studying me closely. "You've learned a lot. This world is changing, and I believe you're ready for what's to come."
I could feel a rush of emotions flood through me at those words. "Thanks, Aniki," I replied with a smile, looking up at him. Despite the challenges, the battles, and everything else that had happened, I felt like I was on the path to something much greater. This battle had been only a small step in a much larger journey, one that I would continue to walk, side by side with my brother and the forces that shaped this world.
As we stood there, the world around us began to settle. The remaining giants, once a threat to all, were now just shadows of their former selves, and the battle was finally over. The dust began to clear, and the once-turbulent sky began to calm, as if the very land was grateful for the end of the conflict.
Veldanava nodded, his gaze shifting to the horizon. "There will be more challenges ahead, Velsun. But together, we'll face them. The world is changing, and we must adapt to it."
I nodded, ready for whatever came next. "I understand, Aniki. And I'll be ready."
With that, the two of us stood together, watching as the giants were reduced to nothing more than a memory. And as the sun began to set, the peaceful silence that followed was a reminder of the calm after the storm.
As the three newly divided giants, once part of Ashura's immense power, slowly began to stir, their massive forms rising from the rubble of their unconsciousness, the atmosphere shifted. Their bodies, though still immense and intimidating, lacked the overwhelming presence they once had when they were united under Ashura's singular might.
Veldanava's divine aura glowed brighter as he observed them, his eyes narrowing slightly as he took in the scene before him. Each of them rose with a sense of uncertainty, like newborns who had just been thrust into an unfamiliar world. Despite the terror they once unleashed, they now seemed more fragile, more human in their expressions.
Veldanava stepped forward, his tone carrying an authority that none could question. "You are not what you once were," he began, his voice commanding yet neutral. "Ashura's soul has been split, and you are the result. You are no longer one, but three separate beings. I will name each of you, and you will carry the legacy of the giant king in your own ways."
The first of the giants, the one who had once been the central head of Ashura, stood tall and proud. "You will be Draguel," Veldanava said, his voice ringing with finality. "The eldest, the one who bore the most power."
Draguel's three faces twisted slightly, their expressions mixedâone face, a grotesque grin, the second, a look of deep thought, and the third, a cold, distant stare. He seemed to regard Veldanava with a mixture of curiosity and defiance, as if unsure of his new place in the world.
The second giant, smaller than Draguel but still mighty, stepped forward. His expression was filled with an air of arrogance, though tempered with caution. "You shall be Glassord," Veldanava named him, his voice calm. "You are the second, but still strong in your own right."
Glassord gave a slight nod, his face now filled with determination, as if he were ready to carve his own path, no matter how daunting the future would be. His power was undeniable, but there was a glint in his eyes that suggested he would not follow anyone without a challenge.
Finally, the last of the three giants, the one who had once held the middle face of Ashura, stood tall but with a deep, almost unsettling silence in his eyes. "You are Fenn," Veldanava continued, his gaze lingering for a moment on Fenn's intimidating form.
Fenn's expression remained unreadable, but there was something ominous about the stillness of his posture. A sense of evil lingered around him, as though his very existence was a threat to everything around him.
Veldanava paused before continuing, though he did not speak his thoughts aloud. He knew that Fenn, the last of Ashura's divided parts, would forever remain dangerous, his heart consumed by darkness and malice. But Veldanava chose to leave that unsaid, for now.
"These are your names," Veldanava declared, looking at the three giants one last time. "Draguel, Glassord, and Fenn. You will each find your own purpose now, in a world that has been reshaped by your previous king's fall."
The three giants stood silently before Veldanava, absorbing the weight of the names and the fate that now lay upon their shoulders. Each one carried a different expressionâDraguel with a thirst for strength and dominance, Glassord with the spark of ambition, and Fenn⊠well, Fenn's unreadable face was the one that worried Veldanava most.
I stood beside my brother, watching the scene unfold. There was a heavy silence between us, as the three giants processed their newfound existence. Whatever path they chose, Veldanava and I knew that this was far from over. The giants were now free to carve their own destinies, and I could only wonder how long it would take for the next major challenge to arise.
With a nod to the newly formed giants, Veldanava turned away and spoke softly, "Their future is in their hands now. But beware, for Fenn may one day become a threat again." His words were a quiet warning, not to me, but to the future that was still unfolding.
