Silas' POV~
"Then I'll look for him myself!" Zane yelled furiously, his voice cutting through the roar of the storm. Without wasting another second, he flung the car door open and stepped out, the rain pelting down on him mercilessly. He didn't hesitate, didn't even glance back, as he began striding off into the downpour.
"Okay, Zane, I'm sorry! I was only joking, alright?" I called after him quickly, my voice raised to compete with the thunder that cracked above us. I shoved my door open and jumped out as well, immediately breaking into a run to catch up with him. The cold rain slapped against my skin, but I ignored it. He didn't stop walking. "I said I'm sorry! Let's just go back to the car, please. I don't want you to catch a cold."
Zane didn't even look at me. He simply yelled over the storm, his tone sharp and full of anger. "You can return back to the mansion, Silas. I'll get a taxi."
