My voice dropped lower, harder, every word deliberate and heavy with venom.
"But don't misunderstand me, Zane… I won't be killing the Alphas tonight. Not yet. I always stick to my schedule, and I already have a very specific time set for their deaths. Even though every part of me burns...no, screams to end them this very moment… I can wait. A little longer."
Zane scoffed bitterly, clutching at his ripped outfit, fumbling as he tried to cover his still-erect dragon with trembling hands.
Outside, the storm raged on but still, none of it compared to the storm boiling inside me. My rage. My hunger. My anticipation. The fury of nature itself seemed pale compared to the chaos clawing within my chest.
