Zane's POV ~
Alfie remained quiet, yet he held me tightly with his arms wrapped firmly around me, as if he never wanted to let go. I found myself so grateful for that simple act. We stayed that way for what felt like forever, his warmth seeping into me, before I finally pulled back. Tears had gathered in my eyes, and I quickly wiped them away before he could notice too much.
Maybe I don't know much about the five Alphas after all. I've never really paid close attention to their attitudes....only to bits and pieces here and there. Or maybe I do know them, but just a little, and not nearly enough to judge them properly.
