As this unfolds, the focus shifts to Froog.
Froog: It is finally time for me to fulfill my destiny and recreate the dimensions of my vision! I WILL HAVE MY RECKONING!
Cliff stands beside Froog, gently petting him.
Froog: Cliff, we will create dimensions of our own. We can manifest anything we envision; we will have an army, and no one will stop us! NO ONE! We will be INVINCIBLE!
Gram: Yeah, I don't know about that, dude.
Froog sighs as Cliff squeals loudly; they both turn to see Gram and the others.
Froog: You… I thought you would have died back there, but I guess you can't die, can you?
Gram: No, I can't, because Gram the Great never dies!
Kono: Give it up, Froog. We have you cornered, and you have nowhere to run.
Froog: Run? Why would I run? I have already won, and now I just need this (holds up the crystal) to open the dimensions and secure my victory.
Zodiac teleports using sudoshi, attempting to snatch the crystal from Froog's hands. As he lunges, Cliff raises his tail and swings at Zodiac, but just before he is hit, Zodiac draws his blades, blocking the attack.
Zodiac: Ughh!
He lands on his feet, regrouping with his team.
Zodiac: I guess it was worth a shot.
Froog: You really thought that would work? (smirking) Leeches have fast reflexes; they can sense vibrations and movements from both objects and people.
Himitsu: This won't be an easy fight.
Ohma: No, it won't… FOR HIM!
Ohma charges at Froog.
Daru: OHMA!
Froog wears an evil grin as a controlled Gliff blocks Ohma's attack.
Ohma: What—
Ohma retreats back to the group.
Kono: It's a controlled Gliff!
Gram: Where did it come from!?
Froog: I cannot be touched… As I stated before, I am invincible!
Suddenly, Gram and Himitsu hear a noise behind them.
Gram: (frightened) Himitsu… please tell me that noise came from you.
Himitsu: (frightened) No, that wasn't me. I was going to ask you the same thing.
They slowly turn around to see an army of controlled Gliffs marching toward them.
Gram: AHHHH! THERE ARE SO MANY!!
Everyone turns around and sees the group approaching; they all stop in front of Froog and Cliff.
Froog: YOU SEE NOW!! MY TIME HAS COME TO TAKE OVER THIS PLANET!!
Daru: Get ready!
Zodiac: I've been ready!
Akira envelops herself in a firery aura.
Akira: Let's get started!
Froog: Attack…
Controlled Gliffs begin to shout and rush towards them.
Kono: LET'S DO THIS!
Daru clenches his fists, his veins swelling with a purple hue as his hair turns bright purple. Zodiac draws his blades; his hair shifts to white, and black tattoos appear around his right eye. He swings his blade, transforming it into a longsword. Kono retrieves two bracelets and a pair of goggles from her pocket, affixing them to her wrists and donning the goggles. She extends her hands forward as the bracelets envelop them, morphing into a hand cannon, while her goggles illuminate blue, revealing her eyes.
Kono: Now let's try this!
Ohma: First Auto!
Ohma's eyes turn gold as a slim golden aura surrounds him, and his mask activates. Himitsu grips his sword firmly.
Himitsu: Now he's going to pay!
Gram: I really don't want to die.
Everyone charges at each other, engaging in battle. Daru's fist turns purple as he strikes a Gliff in the chest, generating a shockwave that takes down ten Gliffs while Zodiac observes.
Zodiac: So that's what happens when he doesn't hold back. (Chuckles) I guess he isn't as useless after all.
He summons his spectral hand, sweeping it across the ground, capturing more than ten Gliffs, and brings his sword to his face.
Zodiac: (Sighs) Limitless slice.
Zodiac's sword extends dramatically, severing the heads of the Gliffs. Akira, hovering in the sky, envelops herself in flames, spinning rapidly like a tornado.
Akira: (Angry) TAKE THIS, YOU PIECES OF SHIT!
She crashes to the ground like a meteor, annihilating a group of Gliffs. She begins to engage them, kicking and exhaling fire. From above, Himitsu slashes downwards, cleaving a Gliff in half. He then turns, holding his sword close as it glows bright red. He swings it towards the Gliffs, unleashing a red slash that bisects them.
Himitsu: There will be a lot more where that came from!
Meanwhile, Ohma swings his nunchucks back and forth, dispatching all the Gliffs in his path. As he continues, the nunchucks begin to radiate an aura.
Ohma: What is this?
He combines the nunchucks, transforming them into a staff with blades on the tips, surrounded by a slim golden aura.
Ohma: Oh YEAH!
He swings the staff, taking down additional Gliffs. The scene shifts to Gram, who is running and searching for a spell.
Gram: Come on! There's gotta be something that can help me!
Flipping through the pages, he discovers a spell that catches his eye.
Gram: Oh, this should work! Summon a pack of man-eating wolves.
He begins to cast the spell.
Gram: SUNG VEYLOOO!
To his surprise, eight baby wolf cubs materialize.
Gram: What the heck! NO! This isn't what I wanted!
He glances to the side and sees the Gliffs charging at him.
Gram: I'M DEAD!!
Gram covers his face. The cubs turn around, and the Gliffs halt in their tracks, staring at the cubs.
Controlled Gliff: Hmm?
The cubs respond by making fierce faces and attacking, tearing the Gliffs apart. As the last of the Gliffs fall, Gram uncovers his face and sees them all defeated on the ground, with the baby wolves looking up at him, appearing endearing with their tongues out and panting.
Gram: Ugh… what the— they're dead? OH YEAH, THEY'RE DEAD! I guess these guys are strong. (Holds his hand up) COME FORTH, CUBS, AND FOLLOW THE GREAT GRAM TO BATTLEEEE!
All the cubs howl in unison.
Gram: LET'S GO!
He starts running, pointing at the Gliffs as the cubs attack and eliminate them.
Gram: Oh, this is going to be fun!
Cliff squeals excitedly as he prepares to join the battle.
Froog: Wait.
Cliff turns to Froog.
Froog: Not yet. Your time will come.
Cliff settles down and waits. They watch as Daru kills a Gliff by pulling the top half of its body off.
Daru: There are too many of them! We need to get to Froog now.
Kono: Guys!
Everyone turns to Kono.
Kono: (Pointing) Look.
They follow her gaze and see Froog walking with Cliff toward the desk.
Zodiac: He's going to the computer!
Kono: We need to stop him before he touches that computer!
Gram: There are too many Gliffs to reach him!
As he speaks, they hear chanting behind them. They turn to see all the Gliffs they saved marching toward them.
Gram: What—it's the people we saved.
Akira: What are they doing here?
Froog turns and sees them.
Froog: What is this? The people are standing up for themselves?
The elderly woman and man Gram saved approach him, brandishing wooden spears.
Old Man: We're here to help fight back against Froog!
Ohma: What! Really?
Old Lady: Yes. We're here to help.
Daru scans the crowd and spots the boy he saved, who approaches him.
Little Boy: I'm ready to fight!
Daru: You shouldn't be here. You'll die.
The little boy looks frightened.
Little Boy: I-I don't care! That man killed my mom and dad, and I want payback.
Daru: (smiling) Alright, kid. If you get hurt, it's on you.
Little Boy: Right!
Himitsu: Now we can get to Froog since we have an army.
Old Lady: Exactly; all of you go after him. We'll handle the others.
Old Man: We'll fight like our lives depend on it.
Akira: Well, they do, so don't die. And if you do, I really won't care.
Zodiac: Fight smart, not sloppy.
The Old Lady turns to the crowd and raises her spear.
Old Lady: Let's do this!
All the Gliffs shout and rush toward the controlled Gliffs, stabbing them as the little boy throws his spear at one, causing it to fall.
Little Boy: YEAH, I GOT ONE!
The old man looks at Daru and the others.
Old Man: GET TO FROOG! WE'VE GOT THIS!
The Maivelance Crew nods and begins running toward Froog and Cliff, while the regular Gliffs fend off the controlled ones. In the distance, they spot Froog still approaching the computer desk.
Himitsu: Froog! Get back here!
Froog turns and smiles as Himitsu rushes toward him. Suddenly, Cliff appears and strikes Himitsu with its tail, sending him tumbling backward.
Himitsu: Aghhh!
Akira: This thing keeps getting in our way!
Zodiac: (de-transformed) Then we need to deal with it before we can reach Froog.
Gram: But we're not going to make it in time! Froog is getting closer to his desk! I can't bring my dogs out again; I have to wait two hours.
Ohma: Just go.
They all turn to Ohma, who appears more serious.
Daru: Are you sure?
Ohma: Yes. I can distract it while you go after him.
Daru: But you'll be fighting it alone, right?
Kono: I'll stay back with him.
Kono walks beside Ohma, and Himitsu and Gram join them.
Gram: I'll stay back too!
Himitsu: We'll make sure this creature is taken down.
Zodiac: Fair enough. The rest of us will head out.
Akira: Don't die on us now.
Himitsu draws his sword and cuts his hand, infusing himself with power.
Himitsu: Don't worry. We won't be dying anytime soon.
With that, Himitsu charges at Cliff, closely followed by Kono and Gram. Cliff notices them and charges back. As he approaches, he opens his mouth wide to swallow Himitsu, who leaps over him. Landing on Cliff's back, Himitsu slashes multiple times, causing Cliff to shake violently. Ohma leaps toward Cliff, swinging his nunchucks at the creature's head.
Ohma: AHHHHHHHH!
Kono stands back with her firearm, firing multiple shots around Cliff's body, while Gram unleashes fireballs.
Gram: DIE, DIE, DIE!
Meanwhile, Zodiac, Daru, and Akira sprint toward Froog, closing the distance.
Daru: Hey, asshole! Give it up!
Froog slowly turns around and smiles as he approaches the desk.
Froog: Wow. Looks like you got through my defenses.
Zodiac: Just stop talking. You're going to die here and now.
Froog: Die? You think you can kill me?
Akira: We don't think; we can!
Froog shakes his head.
Froog: How foolish. It's as if you've forgotten who I am. But that's alright. Once I activate my plan, you won't be able to stop—
Before he can finish, Akira rushes toward Froog and punches through his chest, catching him off guard.
Akira: (smiling) Looks like your plan has failed.
Froog begins to laugh with his head down, leaving Zodiac and Daru perplexed.
Froog: Like I told you, you can't kill me because I am the LEECH KING!
As Akira's hand remains buried in Froog's chest, small leeches begin to emerge, crawling up her arm.
Akira: (shocked) What the hell!?
Akira attempts to pull her arm back but is unable to due to the strong resistance. As the leeches inch toward her face, Daru rushes in and kicks Froog, freeing Akira and pushing Froog back.
Daru: You need to be careful!
Akira: (looking at Daru) I didn't need your help!
Froog feels his dislocated jaw and snaps it back into place.
Froog: (laughing) That was a strong kick.
Zodiac: That's fine; we're going to destroy your little computer.
Zodiac draws his dual blades, ready to strike the computer. Just as he is about to attack, he senses something beneath him. He quickly hops back as multiple leeches shoot up from the ground, swarming around the computer. Daru and Akira follow suit, regrouping with Zodiac.
Akira: Where did they come from!?
Froog: (laughing) Didn't I tell you? Every leech is under my control on this planet.
Daru: You're starting to piss me off! Why don't you come here and fight us like a man?
Froog: I would if you gave me the chance to do what I want.
Akira: Well, that's not happening!
Akira opens her mouth and charges a fire blast, aiming at the computer. After a few moments, she releases it, and the blast hurtles toward the computer. As it nears, the leeches stack on top of each other, forming a barrier. The blast strikes the barrier, resulting in a massive explosion.
Akira: Dammit!
Zodiac: These creatures are more intelligent than I anticipated.
Daru: Akira, send another blast at it. I'm going to try something.
Akira: Huh?
Daru: Just do it!
Akira: Ugh! Fine!
Akira charges another blast and directs it toward the computer. The leeches form a barrier as Daru runs and jumps, preparing for a ground slam.
Daru: We've got you now.
As he says this, Froog suddenly appears right in front of Daru and punches him in the face, sending him crashing to the ground.
Daru: Ahhh, you little!
Froog: (smiling) Nice try.
A few seconds later, a loud noise emanates from behind. They all turn to see Himitsu, Ohma, Gram, and Kono crashing to the ground, covered in bruises and cuts.
Akira: What the?
They begin to rise from the ground.
Himitsu: Sorry, guys. We couldn't hold him back any longer.
Kono: He's too strong!
Daru: Well, where is he?
As Zodiac poses this question, Cliff swoops down above them, heading straight for Froog.
Froog: (petting Cliff) There you are. It seems they didn't give you too much trouble.
Zodiac: How did you lose to him?
Gram: I don't know! None of our attacks were damaging him!
Ohma: It's like we had no effect at all.
Froog: That's exactly it.
They all turn to see Froog at his desk, preparing to press another button.
Froog: Looks like you've failed once again. Because of that, I can finally initiate the grand surge—the surge that will grant me my true form and allow me to take over this worthless planet.
Himitsu: (upset) You can't do this! You can't!
Froog: Oh yes, I can, and you're going to sit there and watch. (Froog looks at Daru) You wanted me to fight like a man; well, here is your wish.
Froog gazes at the computer and presses a button. As he does so, the ground shakes violently, more intensely than before.
Akira: What the hell is happening now!?
Zodiac and Daru sense a dangerous force emanating from the ground and promptly warn everyone.
Zodiac & Daru: Get off the ground!
Everyone: What!?
They all leap off the ground, standing on something as the earth fractures open, releasing a swarm of leeches.
Gram: WHAT THE HELL!?
The ground rises beneath Froog and Cliff, propelling them into the air. As everyone looks around, they witness hundreds, if not thousands, of leeches shooting up from the ground like steam, swarming Froog's entire domain.
Kono: They're everywhere!
Daru: So this was the surge!
The other Gliffs turn back to see thousands of leeches ascending into the sky, fear gripping them.
Gliff 1: What is that!?
Gliff 2: Is that what I think it is!?
All the leeches begin to move toward Froog, who starts to absorb them.
Froog: (Excited) YES! YES! GIVE ME MORE POWER!
Ohma: Is he absorbing them?
Zodiac: I think so.
As Froog absorbs more leeches, his body and appearance begin to transform, and he looks at Cliff.
Froog: (Voice changing) Let us become the ultimate leech!
Understanding, Cliff allows himself to be absorbed by Froog, making him even larger.
Gram: (Panicking) We're dead, DEAD!
Himitsu: He's becoming the Leech King…
As Froog is engulfed by a swarm of leeches, a massive blast erupts into the air, creating a shockwave that forces everyone to shield their eyes. When they uncover their eyes, they can hardly believe what they see.
Daru: What in the world…
Froog has transformed into a gigantic green leech with multiple eyes, a large mouth filled with hundreds of teeth, and a body capable of wrapping around several buildings. He looks down at the crew and unleashes a monstrous voice.
Froog: I AM THE LEECH KING! AND TONIGHT WILL BE YOUR LAST!
