As Gram panicked, the scene unveiled numerous tubes suspended from the ceiling and lining the walls. Upon closer inspection, everyone realized the tubes contained individuals, with leeches inside draining their blood.
Daru: W-what the hell is this place?!
Ohma: There are so many tubes!
Froog: It's my office.
Everyone turns to see Froog at a desk with his back turned, typing on a computer.
Ohma: There you are.
Himitsu: He's going to pay for what he did to Kana!
Froog: Kana? Oh, I was going to kill her anyway, but your friend got to her first (chuckles).
Himitsu: (surprised) How did you know he killed her?
Froog: I have eyes everywhere.
Zodiac and the others begin to approach him cautiously.
Froog: If you're planning to attack me, be careful. One wrong move, and you'll die.
Zodiac: You do realize I could teleport to you and slit your throat?
Froog turns around and looks at them.
Froog: Then why haven't you done it yet?
Zodiac freezes, surprised.
Froog: Ahhh. I know why—because you don't know what I'm capable of, right? Trust me, I can do a lot.
Ohma: Why are you doing this? Why all of this?
Froog: Why, you ask? Well… because I want to be everywhere.
Kono: I don't understand.
Froog: When I was a child, I lived with my parents as an only child, and I had no friends. Everyone thought I was weird—not because I was an only child, but because I loved leeches. I played with them growing up; they were my true friends, and I felt I could talk to them. I used to sneak out late at night to the swamp to look for leeches, capturing them in a jar. One night, I found the biggest leech I had ever seen, and it was injured. I took it home, cared for it, and healed it. We became great friends. It didn't hurt me at all, and I named him Cliff. My parents weren't fond of him and were always scared. Cliff never wanted to hurt anyone until my parents put their hands on me. That's when he snapped and killed them. I thought I would be scared or feel something, but I didn't—I felt happy. It was as if everything had been lifted off my shoulders. However, after he killed them, Cliff looked at me and bit my arm. I thought he was trying to kill me, but he gave me a gift; he turned me into a leech. When he did, I could see everything; I could see every leech on the planet. It was like I was everywhere at once, but I didn't just become any leech—I became the alpha. I could control them, and they all listened to me. So, I went back to my school and killed everyone there. In doing so, I realized I was the king of all leeches, but I needed to make my army bigger and stronger. I started using the people in this city for my own purposes because my leeches needed to eat after a hard day at work helping me create this beautiful environment.
Gram: I don't get it. This doesn't explain why you need to be everywhere.
Froog: When I got bitten, I could see every leech, including all their dimensions, but I can't reach them unless I go to them and open the dimensions I need to access.
Kono: That makes so much sense now.
Akira: What are you talking about?
Kono: The crystal he has. I remember reading about it when I was little. It's a clear crystal that can be reused.
Daru: And you plan to use it to take over the other dimensions with his leeches.
Froog: Wow, you guys are actually kind of smart.
Gram: Kind of smart? We found it, didn't we?
Froog: Yes, you did, which means you fell right into my trap again.
Gram: Again?
Froog: CLIFF!
Cliff suddenly appears, a large leech that ensnares everyone with its tail.
Cliff: AHHHHHHH!
Daru: UGHH!
Zodiac: Damn it!
Akira: THIS IS BULLSHIT!
Himitsu: WASN'T HE HUMAN BEFORE?
Froog approaches as Cliff maintains their captivity.
Froog: Yes, he was, but I used spells from this book to turn him into a leech.
Froog produces an ancient spell book.
Kono: (Being squeezed) F-Froog! You don't have to do this! You can be a good person.
Froog: A good person? I am a good person. I'm going to rescue my friends.
Zodiac: Froog! When I get out of here, I'm going to kill you!
Froog: I'd love to see that. Really, I would. But first, let me show you something that will blow your minds.
He moves to the desk, picks up a device with a large red button, and returns to them.
Froog: You see this? (showing it to Kono) This is something special I've been working on. Why don't you do the honors? Press it.
Kono: No, I won't press it.
Froog: No?
Froog glances at Cliff, who promptly releases everyone except Kono, then restrains them once more.
Daru: ARAHHHA! SCREW THIS THING!
Zodiac: UGH! I can't believe I got caught again!
Froog seizes Kono by the neck and lifts her.
Kono: Ugh!
Froog: Press the button.
Kono: (Choking) No!
Froog releases her and hands her the device.
Froog: I'll make it easier for you. If you don't press it, your friends die. That's your only choice.
Kono observes as everyone is being constricted while Cliff intensifies the pressure.
Himitsu: Don't press it!
Gram: I DON'T WANNA DI—
Zodiac: Uhhhh! I can't believe I'm going to die to this thing—
Ohma: THIS HURTS!
Akira: GET OFF OF ME!!
Kono: (Tearing up) Guys… I can't press it. If I do, he wins!
Daru: K-K-KONO… PRESS IT!!
Froog appears somewhat surprised.
Kono: (Shocked) W-what? Press it?
Daru: N-NOW! PRESS IT NOW!
Kono presses the button, causing the ground to tremble.
Kono: What the hell is happening?
Froog: (Laughing) MY RECKONING HAS COME!
As the tremors continue, Cliff releases some pressure, allowing Zodiac, Daru, and Akira to harness their powers to leap up and strike Cliff, freeing everyone.
Akira: YOU ASSHOLE!!!
Gram: (Taking a deep breath) I CAN BREATHE! I DIDN'T DIE!!
Himitsu clutches his chest. Once everyone is free, the scene shifts to the city, where residents feel a rumbling beneath their feet.
Old Man: Am I the only one feeling this?
Old Lady: No, I feel it too.
Kana's father steps outside and observes the ground cracking.
Kana's Father: What in God's name is happening?
As the tremors intensify and cracks spread through the ground, the city begins to tilt, causing people to slide and scramble for safety.
Old Man: Honey, I think I'm sliding.
Old Lady: Me too.
They both grab onto something as the scene transitions back to Kono and the others.
Froog: Thank you, Kono. I appreciate your effort.
Kono: We're going to stop you, Froog.
Froog: I'm sure you will.
Froog leaps into the air as Cliff rises beneath him, with Froog standing atop Cliff's head.
Froog: I guess this is farewell. It was a pleasure meeting you all.
Cliff jumps against the wall, adhering to it as he begins to ascend.
Gram: He's getting away!
Ohma: We need to stop him!
Akira: We need to act fast before we get squashed down here.
Himitsu: What are we going to do, Zodiac?
Gram searches through his book and discovers a spell that may be of assistance.
Gram: I got it! I found something.
Zodiac: What is it?
Gram: It says I can make anything fly.
Akira: So why are we still standing here? Do it!
Gram: Okay, one second.
Gram begins to cast the spell as his eyes turn green.
Gram: YASSZEN OUU TIMIAAA!
Ohma: That's a funny word.
However, when he casts it, nothing happens.
Himitsu: Did you do it?
Gram: Umm… Yeah, I mean, I cast it.
Daru: You did something wrong.
Gram: What! No, I didn't. That's what it says in the book!
Zodiac: Great, now we're stuck.
Akira: Can't you just use your teleport move?
Zodiac: It can only go as far as I can see, and I can't see the top, so it's useless. Why can't you use your wings?
Akira: That stupid leech crushed my wing, so I can't fly.
Ohma: I'm sorry to hear that, Akira.
Suddenly, a large rock begins to fall. Daru punches it, shattering it into pieces.
Daru: These rocks will keep falling until we figure something out.
Gram examines his book again but still struggles to comprehend it.
Gram: Damn it! What's going on? My spells always work! Why isn't this one?
Frustrated, Gram picks up a rock and throws it in anger. As he does so, he realizes he cannot hear it land.
Gram: Huh?
He looks to where it fell; it is not on the ground but floating directly in front of him.
Gram: WHAT THE HECK!
Ohma: Whoa!
He checks the book again, which states, "Anything you touch can fly."
Gram: Guys, we're getting out of here.
Daru: How?
The scene shifts to an elderly couple clinging for dear life as the city tilts at nearly a 180-degree angle.
Old Man: Dear, my hands are slipping.
Old Lady: Do not let go!
Old Man: I'm sorry!
The old man releases his grip and begins to fall.
Old Lady: KARL!!
Old Man: I LOVE YOU!!
The old lady closes her eyes and begins to cry.
Old Man: You're even beautiful when you cry.
The old lady quickly opens her eyes to see Karl, Kono, and others on a large rock, with Gram controlling it using his book.
Kono: Need a lift?
Old Lady: How?
Gram: Because I'm Gram the Great!
Ohma: Yeah! Gram!
Akira: SHUT UP AND GET US OUT OF HERE!
Gram lifts the old lady as they soar above the city, witnessing the destruction below. The scene shifts completely upside down as buildings and homes collapse, crushing and endangering people, many of whom desperately cling to anything to avoid falling.
Himitsu: Damn it! Everyone is in danger!
Ohma: (Serious) We cannot let anyone else die!
Kono: We need to find a solution—quickly!
As Kono speaks, the tubes containing people shatter, releasing them. The individuals who had been inside the tubes appear deranged, their eyes glowing green. They begin to scale the walls to attack the normal Gliffs.
Zodiac: (Looking closer) Do you see that? The people from the tubes have escaped.
Gram: Wait, what!?
They all lean in, witnessing the controlled Gliffs attacking others and tearing them apart.
Kono: I think the leeches did this. They were in the tubes, sucking blood from them. They must have injected something to make them act this way.
Old Man: Oh my goodness!
Daru: We need to act now. Gram, Himitsu, Ohma, you three grab as many people as you can and get them out of the city. The rest of us will fight back.
Himitsu: But where should we take them afterward?
Daru: I don't know! Just get them as far away as possible, maybe to the forest.
Kono: That's a great plan, Daru!
Akira: (Annoyed) It would be nice if I could use my wings…
Gram: Right, you mentioned your wings were hurt. I think I can help with that.
Gram reaches into his pockets and retrieves a small potion.
Akira: What the hell is that?
Gram: It's a potion that can heal wounds. It's not very powerful, but it should help your wings a bit.
Daru: (Blank expression) You've had this the whole time…
Akira: Just give it to me!
Akira quickly takes the potion from Gram and consumes it. As she finishes, she extends her wings.
Akira: (Flapping) It still hurts a bit, but I guess I can't complain.
Akira leaps from the rock and flies down toward the tilted city.
Kono: And there she goes.
Daru: Alright, everyone knows what to do. Let's get going.
Kono: Wait, Daru and Zodiac, I have something for you.
Zodiac: What is it?
Kono produces two small, robotic-looking shoes from her back pocket. She shakes them, causing them to expand.
Daru: What the hell are those?
Kono: It's something I've been working on. I haven't tested them yet, but there's no better time than now.
Daru: I guess you're right. What do they do?
Kono: I call them the Sticky 4000s; they can stick to anything… hopefully.
Zodiac: (Sighs) Just give them to me.
Daru and Zodiac put on the shoes, which illuminate in white.
Kono: When you're in the city, press the button on the side of the shoe to stick to a wall.
Kono looks at her team as she hands them unusual-looking belts.
Ohma: Oh, what's this?
Kono: It's similar, but when you land in the city, press the button in the middle, and wires will hold you down and steady.
Gram: Why do Zodiac and Daru get the cooler ones?
Kono: Sorry, I only made two.
Gram: What are they called?
Kono: Umm, a wired belt.
Gram frowns and crosses his arms.
Daru: Okay, let's go; we don't have much time before this city flips and kills everyone!
Zodiac: Stop telling me what to do.
Everyone nods as Daru and Zodiac leap off the rock. Kono activates her rocket shoes and descends to join them.
Gram: (Addressing the elderly couple) Alright, let's get you two to safety.
Ohma: Then let's hurry up. I don't want anyone else to die.
Gram uses his book to guide the large rock outside the city and toward the forest. Meanwhile, Zodiac, Daru, and Kono land on the ground. Zodiac and Daru press the buttons on the side of their shoes, which illuminate blue and adhere to the wall. Looking up, they witness the city crumbling around them, with several individuals sliding and being attacked by the controlled Gliffs.
Daru: Alright, let's take out as many of those things as we can and help the people reach a safer area.
Zodiac: (Unsheathing dual blades) Now you're speaking my language.
Zodiac charges toward a controlled Gliff poised to attack an innocent Gliff.
Gliff 1: (Terrified) Someone help me!
As the controlled Gliff approaches, Zodiac pierces its head with a blade.
Gliff 1: What the!?
Zodiac withdraws his blade as the body collapses.
Zodiac: Don't say anything, just follow me.
Gliff 1: O-okay!
With the Gliff trailing Zodiac, Daru confronts three controlled Gliffs charging at him. As the first one closes in, it swings at Daru, who blocks the attack with his forearm and counters with a punch to its face, sending the Gliff crashing to the ground. The other two Gliffs rush at Daru, but moments later, icicles penetrate their heads, causing them to fall. Daru glances back to see Kono hovering in the air with her weapon.
Kono: I got you, Daru!
Daru: I didn't need your help.
As he speaks, they hear a child's scream and quickly turn to see another controlled Gliff advancing toward a boy on the ground, leaning against a crumbling house and shielding his face.
Kono: (Anxiously) Oh no! We need to—
Daru: I will handle it.
Daru sprints toward the controlled Gliff at full speed, preparing to engage. As he nears, he leaps into the air and performs a spin kick, sending the Gliff away from the child and saving him.
Child Gliff: (Looks up) T-thank you, sir!
Daru: Don't mention it.
Kono finally catches up.
Kono: We're taking you to a safe spot for evacuation, okay?
Child Gliff: (Gets up) Okay!
Daru: Kono, take him. I'll stay here and help the others.
Kono: Okay!
As Kono picks up the child and escorts him to safety, Akira is seen soaring above, unleashing fire upon the controlled Gliffs one by one.
Akira: Die! All of you just die!
While she fights them off, the city continues to crack and tilt precariously.
Akira: Where the hell is that bastard Gram? Isn't he supposed to be evacuating these people!?
A few moments later, Akira spots Gram, Himitsu, and Ohma atop a large rock platform, spacious enough to accommodate over 50 individuals.
Gram: (Smiling) Do not fear! The Great Gram is here!
Akira: (Annoyed) I really hate this guy…
Ohma: (Waving) Hi, Akira! We're here!
Himitsu: Let's try to save as many people as possible!
Gram and the others descend into the city to rescue more individuals. As they approach the ground, Himitsu and Ohma leap off the rock, land in the city, and activate the buttons on their belts. Wires penetrate the ground, anchoring them as they begin to fend off the controlled Gliffs. While assisting people in clinging to objects, they manage to help a few onto the platform.
Gram: Nice job, guys!
Ohma: But we need to save more!
Himitsu: I know, Ohma! We're doing our best!
Suddenly, Akira descends, carrying two Gliffs, and drops them onto the platform.
Himitsu: Akira!
Akira: Here you go. I'll be back with more.
Akira turns and flies off in another direction, searching for additional individuals to save. The scene shifts back to Zodiac, Daru, and Kono running toward the city with people trailing behind them.
Daru: Where is that idiot?
Zodiac: I have no idea. He's always doing something stupid.
Kono: Good thing I have these sticky shoes; otherwise, this would be much harder.
A few moments later, they spot a large rock platform approaching.
Kono: Is that who I think it is?
Daru: Gram.
Gram: Y'all looking for me?
Gram lowers the platform closer to the ground, where more than 20 individuals are already gathered on the rock.
Zodiac: Took you long enough.
Daru: Everyone, get on!
The Gliffs trailing behind begin to climb onto the rock.
Himitsu: How many people do you think are still left in the city?
Daru: I'm not sure. But the city is almost flipped. We should get a few more people, then head out.
Ohma: (Serious) But we need to save everyone!
Daru: Ohma, I know you want to save everyone, but we can't. It'll be too late once it reaches halfway.
Zodiac: I say we leave now. Everything is falling apart; it's too dangerous to keep trying to save more.
Ohma turns away, visibly upset. Moments later, Akira returns with four Gliffs, which he lowers down.
Akira: I think that's it. I don't see any more people around.
Daru: Then let's leave now and take them to the forest.
Gram: You got it!
Ohma: Dammit! Froog is going to pay!
Everyone jumps onto the rock as Gram elevates the platform and flies away from the city, heading toward the forest. As they travel, the scene depicts buildings in the city collapsing, with people screaming and falling into the abyss. Eventually, they reach the forest safely, and Gram places the platform on the ground. They have successfully rescued over 70 individuals, all of whom begin to disembark from the rock.
Kono: (Wiping her forehead) That was tough!
Zodiac: I wouldn't relax just yet. This is where the real battle begins.
Himitsu: (Pointing at the city) Everyone, look!
They turn to see the city flipping upside down, exposing Froog's domain as he emerges, standing on a cliff in the center.
Gram: Who's that in the middle?
Ohma: It's the bastard himself.
Ohma grips his nunchucks tightly and starts to advance toward him.
Gram: Wow, Ohma is really mad.
Himitsu: I'm mad too. He put Kana through all this.
Akira: Then it's time.
Kono: I believe so.
Daru: We'll send him straight to his grave.
Zodiac: We'll leave nothing behind.
Everyone walks toward Froog, their expressions resolute. Himitsu cuts his arm; his eyes turn red, his teeth sharpen, and his nails lengthen.
Himitsu: (Holding his sword) We're coming for you, Froog. This is where it ends.
