✿ CHAPTER 28 ✿
Leonard's POV
The night before
"I'd love to make a deal with our two companies" the man before me smiled.
"Meeting adjourned," I said coldly as I grabbed my phone and hurriedly left the meeting hall.
The man was stunned.
"But sir, this is very important," My assistant said as he followed behind me.
"We were about to have a big collaboration with his company," My Assistant said as he tried to catch up with my long strides.
"You can take care of it while I'm gone," I said without looking back.
"where are you going sir, sir?" he called out to me as I walked faster out of the company building into my car.
"Good evening sir" My Chauffeur greeted gently.
"I'll drive today, go home early."
"Sir, you'll drive?" he asked in surprise.
"wait for me, sir!" Theo called out as he hurriedly got into the passenger seat.
I got into the driver's seat and drove off.
I drove very fast to meet Amelia at the bar. I had a feeling that things weren't as simple as they seemed.
I called her several times but she didn't pick up.
"Dammit!" I hit the steering wheel as I drove past a red light.
I had a feeling something bad had happened to Amelia, I didn't feel at ease knowing I wasn't with Amelia.
"Boss, are you okay?"
"Do I look okay? "
"call the police and tell them to arrive at this destination" I gave Theo the address of the bar I was headed to.
"Yes boss" he called the police Immediately.
20 minutes later we arrived at the bar...
The bar was dimly lit, filled with the hum of conversations, clinking glasses, and muffled music.
The air smells of whiskey, sweat, and cigarette smoke. Neon lights cast strange shadows on patrons' faces, making it harder to recognize anyone at a glance.
I had a strange feeling as I couldn't find Amelia through the crowd. I tried calling her again, but she didn't pick up the phone.
I immediately went upstairs, barging into all the rooms but I couldn't find Amelia, I was getting anxious.
"Boss, who exactly are you looking for?"
"I was supposed to meet Amelia here! I can't fucking find her!!"
I noticed a suite at the end of the hallway...
I barged in immediately only to find Amelia lying on the couch with some men hovering above her.
"Who the fuck is this!!" a silver-haired man said.
I made my way to the man on top of Amelia and delivered a punch on his face.
I also noticed two men on top of Amelia's cousin on the bed,
"Get him!"
The two men got off her and lunged at me.
"Boss be careful!!" Theo panicked as he saw the men coming at me.
I turned around, my movement controlled, every step deliberate, every punch calculated.
The first man barely had time to react before his jaw snapped sideways, the crack of bone muffled by the dull thud of flesh as I punched them with anger evident in my eyes.
The fourth man came at me swinging, wild and angry. I caught the man's wrist and drove his elbow into the side of his head.
"How dare you touch her" I growled as I twisted his arm painfully. his cries echoing around the room.
"Do you know who I am? how dare you barge in here!!" the silver-haired man said as he glared at me...
I recognized who this man was...he was the CEO of a shitty company that tried to sue my fathers' company back at the time he was still the CEO.
"You bastard!" I charged towards him and punched him hard in the face making him fall to the floor holding his broken nose that was now bleeding.
"You! You broke my nose!!!" he said furiously
The other men hesitated, sizing me up. I didn't taunt them or speak to them. I adjusted my clothes, my eyes unreadable as I approached Amelia who was now unconscious.
Theo walked towards Amelia's cousin and held her up, she was also unconscious.
At this moment the police with the ambulance arrived making everyone at the bar go into a panic attack.
"Arrest them all!" the police officer said as a few other officers ran upstairs.
"Officers! you're here!" Theo said as he carried Amelia's cousin out of the room.
A few minutes later the men who were in the suite were arrested, and the officers suspected them for doing drugs and raping young girls in this bar.
"I'll get you!, you son of a bitch!!" the silver haired man cursed at me as he was taken out by the officers
"We need to take them to the hospital quickly!" the police officers said as the paramedics put Amelia and her cousin into the ambulance.
"Are you the guardian of the ladies?"
"Yes I am," I said
"Get in let's go"
"Theo get in!"
I and Theo got into the ambulance it drove straight to the hospital
"Will they be fine?" I was worried as I held Amelia's hand.
"Yes, they will be fine"
