Catherine's POV
I fought through the darkness that consumed my entire body, like a chain held around my neck.
Memories flooded, time slowed down as they came back fresh into my mind, that morning by the shore, I pleaded, I begged, but they still betrayed me like I wasn't part of them.
The tears came rushing back through the darkness. Rick, why? He stared into my eyes and said those nasty words to me, consuming my soul with a greater sense of rage.
He f**king didn't care about me. He let me go through the agony of losing my own baby because of his silly mistress.
My heart tightened. Fighting through this looming darkness that consumed my soul as my body spun into the ocean's depths.
Then suddenly, I felt that warm touch on my palms, but I shook it off. The grief and pain in my heart tightened. I knew his touch like the daylight.
