We walked to a balcony where it was just the two of us, away from the annoying little crowd in the hallway, and away from all pleasantries and small talk.
The breeze that blew was so cool and refreshing, that I felt I could get all that lying stress off my nerves by just staying there.
And then Jin-Yeok asked,
"Did you have fun making up endless lies?"
"Ah, they left me no choice," I said, narrowing my eyes but then chuckled at the thought. "I'm quite good at it, aren't I?"
"They were completely fooled," Jin-Yeok said.
The soft night breeze blew over us, and my slick hair that should've stayed in place started to loosen.
First, one strand, and then two others, all falling in front of my face and making me look rather haggard.
I thought this was the time in romance novels where we were supposed to have a moment, thanks to the balcony feeling. But it's just making me look weird.
I reached my hand towards my face, planning to swipe back the hair when Jin-Yeok caught my hand.
