-------------
Fu Zhu looked at the Ender Dragon hovering in the sky, its form completely different from the original version, and felt a headache coming on.
He couldn't even tell which mod this Ender Dragon came from. He had no idea what new abilities it possessed. The only thing he could be sure of was that this Ender Dragon was far stronger than the original!
Herta and the others were also staring up at the Ender Dragon circling above. Even for Herta and Screwllum, two members of the Genius Society, the sight left them momentarily stunned.
Herta couldn't help but swallow. She murmured to the side, "Screwllum, do you feel that? That intense Path of [Finality]… This has already surpassed the strength an Emanator should have, right?"
Screwllum nodded, reached into his chest pocket, and pulled out a handkerchief to wipe his gleaming, polished metal head. Although he was a machine and incapable of sweating, he still felt the need to mimic the human gesture to calm his inner shock.
Herta whipped her head back to Fu Zhu and yelled, "Fu Zhu, are you sure this thing is really called an Ender Dragon? And not some other name, like the [Finality] Ender King? Damn it, the aura of [Finality] on it is practically overflowing! Anyone who knows a little about the Paths can recognize it at a glance!"
Fu Zhu had no time to answer Herta's question. He noticed the Ender Dragon's movements were beginning to change; it was clearly the prelude to an attack.
Although they were inside the Simulated Universe, after so many strange incidents, he couldn't be sure what consequences would follow if he were to die in here.
"Herta, Screwllum, I suggest you two stop your research for now. I need to get rid of it quickly, otherwise we're going to have a problem."
"What?" Herta frowned, looking at the equally tense Fu Zhu. "The you of the past wasn't this timid. Or is it just that strong?"
"Let's just put it this way," Fu Zhu said. "As I am now, if I were to fight it, I'd have to die at least a hundred times to take it down, and that's not even counting the possibility that it can heal itself."
Herta let out a frustrated scoff, pressing her thumb to her lips in annoyance.
To finally encounter a being like this, an existence comparable to an Aeon, and she couldn't even study it!
Seeing Herta's reluctance to respond, Screwllum spoke up on her behalf.
"Fu Zhu, eliminate it. As things stand, we are incapable of studying it while also ensuring our own safety."
"Right."
Just as Fu Zhu was about to input the command to delete the Ender Dragon, the creature circling in the sky suddenly unleashed a blast of dragon's breath right at him.
Unlike the original MC version, where the breath was a projectile that would explode upon impact and leave a lingering pool, this was a beam of light that shot straight towards Fu Zhu.
He quickly tossed an Ender Pearl into the distance while simultaneously reaching out to grab Herta and Silver Wolf, teleporting with both of them to a faraway spot.
Screwllum, being further away and not in the direct path of the attack, dodged to the side on his own.
Fu Zhu glanced back and saw that everywhere the dragon's breath had touched, a lingering residue remained, which was similar to the original.
"Clear."
Afraid that the longer he delayed, the more accidents could occur, Fu Zhu gave it a quick look and immediately executed the command he had prepared.
The Ender Dragon in mid-air, which had been about to unleash another breath attack, vanished in the next instant. Aside from the lingering dragon's breath on the ground, not a single trace was left behind.
Fu Zhu finally let out a sigh of relief. He then immediately pulled out some glass bottles, walked over to the residual pools of dragon's breath, and collected seven of them.
[Achievement Unlocked: Want some mints?]
[Acquired Achievement Points: 5]
Huh?!
Fu Zhu's body jolted as he saw the normal achievement notification pop up. If that was the case…
/achievement give !!!! (Grant the player all achievement progress)
[Command Failed]
Damn it!
The system really had a counter for this!
Fu Zhu sighed in disappointment. He had been thinking that if this command worked, he could simply buy some mods with new achievements, then repeatedly use this command in the Simulated Universe to farm achievement points.
A pity. The dream had been mercilessly crushed by the system before it could even begin.
Fu Zhu sighed, pocketed the seven bottles of dragon's breath, and walked back to the other three, casually tossing a bottle each to Herta and Screwllum.
"Here, this is for you. You should be able to get some research out of it."
Herta and Screwllum quickly reached out to catch the bottles, clutching them as if they were priceless treasures.
---o---
Although they didn't know exactly what this dragon's breath was, they understood it was a remnant of the Ender Dragon—in other words, a remnant of a being on par with an Aeon. Such a thing was priceless! The research value was astronomical!
While Fu Zhu and Herta were talking, Silver Wolf, standing to the side, quietly lifted her hand to fiddle with a brooch on her chest and asked in a low voice.
"How was it? Did you get a clear look? Was that dragon the one you mentioned?"
"No."
Elio's voice suddenly resounded in Silver Wolf's mind. "That was not its main body, merely a remnant of it from a certain point on the timeline. Its true self is not here."
Elio paused for a moment before continuing, "However, Fu Zhu's power truly exceeds my predictions. I didn't expect him to be able to casually summon its temporal remnant. No wonder only he is capable of harming it."
Silver Wolf was confused by this. Hadn't Fu Zhu just said that besides him, the Ender Dragon could also be damaged by explosions?
Although Silver Wolf hadn't spoken her thoughts aloud, Elio had already foreseen her question and casually offered an explanation.
"While Fu Zhu himself said it could be damaged by explosions, that is merely his own assumption! The so-called 'damage from explosions' must also be indirectly caused by Fu Zhu. Otherwise, they are still incapable of harming it."
Hearing Elio's explanation, Silver Wolf was utterly shocked, her tone rising slightly.
"Can such a terrifying existence really escape from the Simulated Universe? Wouldn't that mean the destruction of the cosmos? Even the Aeons wouldn't be able to do anything about it?"
"Heh."
Elio let out a soft chuckle, which was immediately followed by a long sigh.
"Otherwise, why do you think I sent you here? It was precisely to prevent that very possibility from occurring."
