Chapter 164 - Chapter 163 - The Ender Dragon

When Silver Wolf saw Fu Zhu's expression, she knew Elio's prophecy had struck true again. She turned to Herta and Screwllum, winking slyly. "See? That look on his face is basically an admission. Now you know why I was so cooperative."

Herta and Screwllum fell silent, which was as good as acknowledging Silver Wolf's point.

Fu Zhu, having been accurately predicted by Elio, was a bit embarrassed. He quickly cleared his throat to change the subject.

"That's not the point. The point is, Silver Wolf, what is your purpose for sneaking into the Simulated Universe? I may not have run into you often, but you Stellaron Hunters never do anything without a reason."

When Fu Zhu asked this, Silver Wolf admitted quite frankly, "There's no special purpose. Elio just told me that this Simulated Universe would be a game I'd really enjoy. If you have to press me for a purpose, he told me to pay attention to that pitch-black dragon and to absolutely not let the messengers under that dragon's command escape the Simulated Universe."

"A pitch-black dragon? Messengers?"

Herta and Screwllum exchanged a baffled look. Silver Wolf's words carried a massive amount of information.

First, the pitch-black dragon. The first thing that came to Herta and Screwllum's minds was the long-lost Aeon of [Immortality].

And the messengers in Silver Wolf's words... could that refer to the Vidyadhara?

It was true that the Simulated Universe, jointly created by Herta and several other geniuses, was originally intended to study Aeons. It was natural that it could simulate them, let alone the much smaller Vidyadhara race.

But here was the problem: Elio said not to let the dragon's messengers escape. Did he mean that these simulated beings had the ability to leave the Simulated Universe?

However, the current Simulated Universe had already completely exceeded Herta's predictions, becoming totally different from the one she had originally designed.

Herta turned her head to look at Fu Zhu. Rather than fumbling for clues in the dark, she might as well just ask him. After all, this simulated world was based on his "homeland." No one present was more familiar with it than he was.

"Fu Zhu, do you have any leads on this dragon and its messengers that Silver Wolf mentioned? Could it be that [Immortality] once descended?"

Fu Zhu held a fist to his mouth, thinking. He had been pondering this ever since he heard Silver Wolf's words.

Unlike Herta and Screwllum, when he heard the description "pitch-black dragon," the first thing that popped into his head was the Ender Dragon. Coupled with the fact that the Simulated Universe was simulating MC, not the real world.

The Ender Dragon perfectly fit Silver Wolf's description. As for the Ender Dragon's messengers, the only thing he could think of was the Endermen.

The problem was, Endermen also retaliate when attacked by an Ender Dragon, so it was hard to say they were its messengers. But looking at all of MC, there was no pair that fit the description better than the Ender Dragon and the Endermen.

Fu Zhu thought for a moment more, confirming he hadn't missed any other creature that better fit Silver Wolf's description. Only then did he share his thoughts with Herta and Screwllum.

After hearing his explanation, the two were even more bewildered, their brows furrowing tightly.

They never imagined that the thing that frightened the famous slave of fate wasn't some Aeon, but a native creature from Fu Zhu's homeland!

After hearing this, Screwllum immediately asked Fu Zhu, "Fu Zhu, I saw earlier that you seem to have control over this world. Can you directly simulate this Ender Dragon and Enderman you speak of? Rather than guessing blindly, it would be better to see them for ourselves."

Fu Zhu nodded. "I can."

Since the commands to change the weather and spawn a zombie had worked, the commands to spawn an Enderman and an Ender Dragon should work as well.

"However, I need to remind you of one thing. The Endermen aren't much of a problem, but the Ender Dragon I summon with my permissions will be a bit different from the one that exists naturally."

"Official MC lore states that the naturally spawned Ender Dragon is one of a kind. It's the only creature besides the player in MC to have a name."

Herta was getting impatient. She disregarded Fu Zhu's words and urged, "Just summon it. I want to see what kind of existence can frighten that slave of fate so much."

Seeing Herta insist, Fu Zhu had no reason to hesitate. He directly used a command to summon an Enderman. He also didn't forget to use another command to change the rainy weather to clear skies before summoning it.

Otherwise, an Enderman in the rain would teleport all over the place, which wouldn't be conducive to Herta's observation and research.

In the blink of an eye, a tall, slender figure, over two meters in height and entirely pitch-black, appeared before them.

The moment the Enderman appeared, Herta and the others looked over with curiosity. The Enderman seemed to sense something, turning to meet their gazes.

The Enderman suddenly opened its maw and let out a sharp screech, like fingernails scratching across a chalkboard. The unpleasant sound made Herta and Silver Wolf frown.

"What is it freaking out about?"

Just as Herta asked, she saw the Enderman running straight for her. She immediately raised her staff and shot a beam of light at it.

---o---

But just as the light was about to hit the Enderman, it let out a strange sound and vanished, leaving behind a faint purple particle effect on the ground.

The instant the Enderman disappeared, alarm bells went off in Herta's mind. She immediately spun around and fired another beam of light behind her.

The Enderman, which had just teleported behind her, teleported away again. When it reappeared, it was on a small hill a dozen meters away, but it was still running towards Herta with its mouth agape.

"This thing, it's that agile?"

Herta, unwilling to be beaten, raised her staff again to get serious. But just as she lifted her hand, Fu Zhu reached out and pressed it down.

"Save your energy. Even if you exhaust all your strength, as long as it's a projectile-type attack, you'll never be able to harm it."

Fu Zhu once again took a wooden boat from his inventory, timed it perfectly, and placed it right in the Enderman's path. The moment it touched the boat, it sat down obediently, but even though it was restrained, it continued to bare its teeth at Herta.

Herta, seeing the Enderman restrained, finally lowered her staff, but she still looked at Fu Zhu with a baffled expression. "What did you mean just now? Why did you say I can't hit it?"

"Because Endermen have a special trait: they're immune to all projectiles. If you don't believe me, you can try attacking it now."

"Try, I'll try."

Herta refused to believe it. When the Enderman was unrestrained, she couldn't hit it and could blame its agility. But now that it was restrained, how could she possibly miss?

Herta raised her staff and fired a beam of light at the Enderman in the boat. However, just as the light was about to make contact, it was suddenly deflected to the side.

"?!"

Herta turned her head to look at Fu Zhu in astonishment, her lips slightly parted, at a loss for words.

Fu Zhu shrugged and spread his hands, explaining to the equally confused Screwllum and Silver Wolf.

"It doesn't matter what kind of power you use. Even if Lan of [The Hunt] came, They still wouldn't be able to harm an Enderman with a projectile. This is a unique talent of the Endermen: projectile immunity."

Although what Fu Zhu said sounded terrifying, at this moment, no one doubted the truth of his words.

After all, he had been summoned by Nous multiple times. And just as Silver Wolf had said, even Elio was afraid of the creatures from Fu Zhu's homeland.

Herta looked at the Enderman baring its teeth at her, snorted in annoyance, and lowered the staff in her hand.

"What an enviable ability."

Screwllum had also recovered by now. He walked over to where the Enderman had teleported from, where a few purple particles still lingered.

He crouched down and touched the particles, feeling a slightly familiar power.

"Herta, I'm afraid the secrets this Enderman holds are far more than just this... It's actually a Pathstrider!"

"What? Screwllum, what nonsense are you spouting?"

The first thing Herta thought upon hearing Screwllum's words was that he must be joking. But she quickly realized that Screwllum wasn't the type to crack jokes. She immediately moved closer to the Enderman and began to scan it.

A moment later, Herta's expression changed, and she came to the same conclusion as Screwllum.

"You were right, Screwllum. This creature really is a Pathstrider... and of [Finality]... This is too strange. But it would explain why it can teleport."

Fu Zhu was also surprised. He wasn't familiar with the energies of the Paths and couldn't detect the aura on others like Herta and Screwllum could.

"The Enderman has the power of a Path? Did it just acquire it?"

Herta shook her head, her fine brows having been furrowed from the very beginning.

"That's unclear. But what is certain is that it is a bona fide Pathstrider of [Finality]. This makes me even more curious about that Ender Dragon. Fu Zhu, can you summon it? Also, does the Ender Dragon also have some kind of special trait?"

"You actually guessed it."

Fu Zhu smiled and snapped his fingers. The Ender Dragon's trait was, in some ways, even more formidable than the Enderman's.

Herta couldn't help but suck in a sharp breath, her face trembling slightly as she asked, "What other heaven-defying trait is it?"

"The Ender Dragon can only be harmed by explosions and by me. All other creatures, even Aeons, are incapable of harming it."

Herta was stunned.

Only harmed by explosions and Fu Zhu? Was he serious?!

But if that was true, it would explain why Elio was so afraid of it.

"Do you need me to summon one?"

Herta and Screwllum, who had walked back over, looked at each other, then both nodded emphatically at Fu Zhu.

"We ask that you do." x2

Fu Zhu immediately opened the command console, entered the command to spawn an Ender Dragon, and executed it.

In the next second, a deep purple health bar appeared at the top of his vision. But it was slightly different from the Ender Dragon health bar he had seen in the past. There were golden patterns on the outer frame of the purple bar. Compared to the original, it looked more like the health bar of a strengthened Ender Dragon from an MC mod pack.

Seeing the abnormality of the health bar, Fu Zhu's heart skipped a beat. He slowly raised his head to look up and saw a dragon flying in the sky—it was pitch-black, but it had purple horns and armor plates on its head and back.

Seeing this, Fu Zhu couldn't help but curse.

"Holy shit, why the fuck is it a strengthened Ender Dragon?!"
