Chapter 279 - Chapter 279

After the Gigantamax Pikachu arrived, it began communicating with the smaller Pikachu around it.

After a while of chatter, the Gigantamax Pikachu approached Nathan.

Nathan activated his Viridian Power.

"Do you have anything tasty to eat?"

Oh boy, a foodie—no, a glutton!

"I do. Want some?"

Suddenly, Nathan had a mischievous idea.

He wanted to capture this Gigantamax Pikachu.

To be honest, Pikachu wasn't particularly strong among Pokémon. But because of its cute appearance, many people raised Pikachu as pets.

That's right—raised not for battle, but as a cute pet.

Nathan once saw a powerful girl who bathed her Pikachu in milk every day for over ten years just to make it more beautiful!

But now, if he could capture this enormous Pikachu, Nathan figured he could ride it wherever he went.

After the Pokémon become Gigantamaxed, their speed isn't affected—Gigantamaxing just scales everything proportionally.

In fact, they become faster and stronger after Gigantamaxing.

If he captured this ten-meter-tall Pikachu, not only could he ride it around, it could probably move an entire house without breaking a sweat.

"I want to eat!"

Pikachu replied excitedly.

"Then become my Pokémon. If you do, you'll get to eat tons of delicious food every day—like this."

Nathan said while pulling out a pile of Pokéblocks and handed them to the Gigantamax Pikachu.

Pikachu immediately popped the blocks into its mouth and started munching.

"Delicious! But if you want me to be your Pokémon, you have to defeat me first."

Despite the temptation, the Pikachu had its pride.

Nathan checked Pikachu's level—only level 55. Defeating it would be a piece of cake for him.

"Alright then. Go, Pangoro!"

Nathan sent out his Pangoro.

The two Pokémon stood opposite each other. The other Pikachu quickly scattered, and even Nathan backed away to a safe distance.

With such a massive body, the collateral damage from this fight could be dangerous.

Pangoro was more than capable of handling this Gigantamax Pikachu, so Nathan decided to let it fight freely without commands.

Having been with Nathan for a long time, Pangoro began by eating a compressed energy ball, boosting its strength dramatically.

Pikachu leapt high into the air, causing the ground to tremble, then aimed a powerful kick at Pangoro with its big short leg.

But as a dual Fighting/Dark-type Pokémon, Pangoro wasn't going to back down.

It stood firm and countered with a simple Sky Uppercut.

The foot of Gigantamax Pikachu and the fist of Pangoro collided.

Pikachu felt like it had kicked a block of steel—it didn't know if Pangoro was hurt, but it sure was!

"Pika~!"

The Pikachu yelped, landed heavily, and clutched its foot in pain.

Nathan winced. Even though Pangoro was huge, its fist was like a nail compared to Pikachu's foot—and it had Iron Fist too...

Poor little guy.

After a moment, Pikachu stood up angrily. Sparks began crackling from the red patches on its cheeks.

"Pika! Pika!! CHU!!!"

Furious, it unleashed Thunderbolt.

But Gigantamax Pikachu's Thunderbolt wasn't just 100,000 volts—it was more like a million.

Pangoro used Protect, but couldn't completely block the attack.

Electricity surged over Pangoro's body, and soon black smoke rose from its fur.

Seeing Pangoro take the hit, Pikachu cheered happily.

But its joy didn't last long—Pangoro popped another energy ball, and instantly recovered to full health.

Having learned from before, Pangoro didn't give Pikachu a second chance.

Using Shave, it closed the distance instantly.

Its powerful punches rained down on Pikachu, each carrying extra force and also using other moves.

Pikachu tried to fight back, but Pangoro—trained in Navy's Six Powers—was far beyond its skill level.

Before long, Pikachu's body was covered in red marks.

Though they looked like red dots, each one was the size of a human head—but compared to Pikachu's massive frame, they really were just dots.

"Pika pika~"

In the end, Pikachu simply couldn't win against Pangoro. It had to concede defeat.

Pangoro was just too unfair—whenever it got hit, it would immediately recover with an energy ball. Pikachu couldn't do anything about it.

Nathan came over with Pokéblocks and healing items, treating Pikachu's wounds while feeding it.

"Well, can I be your Trainer now?" Nathan asked with a grin.

"Okay, but that guy's such a cheater..." Pikachu pointed at Pangoro behind Nathan.

After successfully capturing the Gigantamax Pikachu, Nathan set out to explore more of the mystic realm.

It was a massive place, after all—who knew what treasures he might find?

After packing up, Nathan climbed onto Pikachu's shoulder and set off.

"Why are you so big anyway?" he asked curiously.

Pikachu scratched its head, thinking hard.

"I think I ate something weird when I was little... but I didn't notice at the time. Later on, I just kept growing."

As it turned out, when Pikachu was young, it accidentally ate a fragment of a Wishing Star.

That fragment remained in Pikachu's body, slowly releasing its effects over time.

But since it got stuck somewhere in its system, it was never excreted or removed.

Eventually, that led to the Pikachu's current enormous size.

"You ate a rock?" Nathan said in disbelief.

"Rock? What rock?" Pikachu asked, puzzled.

"If I'm right, you must've eaten a special rock when you were little," Nathan explained. "A rock that causes Pokémon to grow in size when they carry it."

It was honestly impressive that Pikachu's body had held onto the stone all this time.

As they searched for more treasure, Nathan occasionally came across other Trainers in the secret realm.

Everyone was stunned when they saw someone riding a Gigantamax Pikachu.

But when they realized it was Nathan, they all relaxed.

Of course—what else would the champion of the Pacific Region be riding?

Two days later, trouble came knocking.

And it came in the form of a woman—a very unreasonable woman!

"Hey, Nathan! Didn't I say I'll give you 50 million Pokédollars for that Pikachu? How about it?"

Two days earlier, Meilin saw online that someone owned a giant Pikachu.

She immediately flew to the capital and entered the secret realm with her team.

Meilin's father was one of the richest men in the country, with immense wealth.

Even Nathan, with 15 billion Pokédollars to his name, was a pauper compared to her.

"I already told you—I won't sell my Pokémon to anyone," Nathan said helplessly.

When he first met her, Nathan didn't take her seriously.

But when she expressed her interest in buying his Pikachu, he rejected her on the spot.

Unfortunately, she completely ignored his refusal and kept trying.

Nathan wasn't even short on money—heck, even if he was, he still wouldn't sell his Pokémon.

But this woman didn't care. Refuse? Raise the price!

From the beginning, her attitude never changed.

She started with 10 million, and now it had climbed to 50 million.

"Not enough? How about 100 million? That Pikachu is only Elite-tier at best, right? This price should be more than fair."

Nathan was speechless.

This woman wasn't just unreasonable—she was clueless.

Calling it "just" an Elite-tier Pokémon? Even a standard Elite-tier Pokémon could sell for over 100 million.

Let alone his Gigantamax Pikachu—huge in both power and size.

He could easily get 300–500 million if he really wanted to sell it.

"Hey, can't someone deal with this crazy rich girl?" he muttered.
