Chapter 233 - Chapter 233

"Vol!"

The Volcarona soared into the sky, its entire body engulfed in golden-white flames.

As it fully unleashed its firepower, it gradually transformed into a second sun in the sky.

Meanwhile, the Dark Organization, which was preparing to trigger a Pokémon riot, quickly noticed what was happening.

"Whoa! What kind of Pokémon is that? It looks incredibly powerful!"

A member of the Dark Organization exclaimed in surprise.

"Who cares what kind it is? As long as it's strong, that's good for us. Just make sure to dump more of the chemical over there when the time comes. Wouldn't want it going out of control."

His companion chuckled as he spoke.

After all, their goal this time was to incite a Pokémon riot. The appearance of a powerful Pokémon was actually a stroke of good fortune in their eyes.

What they didn't realize, however, was that this wasn't a wild Pokémon—it was Nathan's Volcarona.

Once Volcarona pushed its flames to the limit, a tremendous oppressive force quickly emerged.

Nathan could clearly feel the air around him thinning.

"This... it got even stronger!?"

He'd had a similar feeling the last time Volcarona powered up, but it hadn't been nearly this intense.

A few dozen seconds later, Raikou, Suicune, and Entei appeared before Nathan.

"Hahaha! I was wondering what kind of Pokémon had appeared in the Wandering Mountains. So it's you, huh?"

Entei was a bit surprised when he saw Nathan.

After completing their business elsewhere, the three legendary Pokémon had returned to the Wandering Mountains. Because they had been far away, they hadn't heard Nathan's earlier calls.

However, they had noticed the radiant Volcarona glowing in the sky.

Out of curiosity, the three had come over to investigate—wondering when such a powerful Pokémon had appeared in their territory.

As they got closer, they sensed something very familiar.

"You finally made it~"

Nathan's tense expression relaxed a bit upon seeing the three legendary beasts.

"What's the matter? Something wrong?"

Suicune asked, noticing Nathan looked rather anxious.

"Something wrong? Of course! Something very wrong!"

Nathan nodded hastily.

"Oh? What kind of trouble could you be having now? Your strength should be among the top ranks of humans by now, no?"

With their keen perception, the three legendary Pokémon could instantly tell how much Volcarona had grown.

Compared to when Nathan had first arrived, Volcarona's strength had increased significantly—placing it firmly among the pinnacle of human-owned Pokémon.

"There's a human organization trying to incite the Pokémon in the Wandering Mountains to riot…"

Nathan quickly explained everything about the Dark Organization, including what had recently happened in Grace City.

At first, the three legendary Pokémon had just been curious. But after hearing Nathan's full account, they became furious.

As legendary Pokémon, they bore the responsibility of protecting their fellow Pokémon.

And now, there were humans trying to manipulate Pokémon to destroy a city?

That was absolutely unforgivable.

"Hey, hey, hey—don't go blaming all humans! They're just a small minority."

Seeing their growing rage, Nathan quickly tried to explain.

He had come to ask for their help protecting humans, not to start a war against them.

If these three ended up attacking all of humanity, wouldn't that be handing victory to the Dark Organization?

"Don't worry. We won't hurt innocent people. But as for that Dark Organization… they won't be so lucky."

With the three legendary Pokémon assuring him they wouldn't harm innocents, Nathan felt greatly relieved.

This Dark Organization was doomed now.

They had chosen the wrong place to carry out their plan.

Of all the places to incite a Pokémon riot, they chose the Wandering Mountains—guarded by legendary Pokémon who also happened to be on good terms with Nathan.

After all, Nathan had once helped Entei.

That alone meant Entei would never sit back and let this happen—especially considering his instinct to protect other Pokémon.

"Then I'll leave those guys to you."

Nathan said cheerfully.

With the three legendary Pokémon taking action, the Dark Organization was about to suffer a major blow.

Riding atop his Flygon, Nathan hovered high in the sky, watching silently below.

Since legendary Pokémon were about to make their move, it would be a shame not to witness it firsthand.

Besides, with him present, if anything went wrong or there was risk of innocent Pokémon getting hurt, he could step in immediately.

The blazing "sun" in the sky faded—but for the Dark Organization, a nightmare was only beginning.

Entei, Raikou, and Suicune split up and quickly located members of the organization.

Without hesitation, the legendary trio struck.

Members of the Dark Organization, busy spraying their chemical agents, were suddenly attacked.

They didn't even see what hit them. One moment they were working, the next—they were gone.

Entei, who was closest to Nathan, unleashed a single attack that instantly incinerated a forest the size of a hundred square meters—reduced to ash!

Nathan was stunned.

So this is the power of a legendary Pokémon?

He hadn't even seen how Entei attacked—it just happened.

Of course, the people targeted were just the outer members of the Dark Organization. Their strength was weak, and Entei had attacked in fury—they had no chance to react.

After eliminating several of them, Entei quickly moved on to hunt for others.

Meanwhile, inside a mountain cave, a few elite members of the organization were adjusting machinery when they suddenly felt a wave of unease.

These veterans had been part of the organization for years. They knew this feeling.

The moment it hit them, they looked at each other—and saw the same thing in each other's eyes.

"You felt it too?"

One asked quietly.

"Yeah. Like we're being watched… is something about to go wrong?"

Another said, frowning.

"Let's go outside and check!"

They abandoned their equipment and stepped outside.

At the same time, they pulled out their radios and began trying to contact their subordinates.

"Any unusual activity on your end?"

"Respond if you can hear me!"

"Damn it!"

One by one, they tried contacting their teams—but none of them got a response.

"What the hell is going on? Why isn't anyone replying!?"

One of the elite members was on the verge of panic.

They had come here to carry out a simple mission. There wasn't supposed to be any danger.

Yet now—none of their subordinates could be reached.

There was no way the radios were broken. These weren't regular phones—they were custom-made with a 20-mile range and no blind spots.

They'd been in contact just moments ago. And now, silence.

If it wasn't a communication issue, there was only one explanation—they'd been captured or… killed.

"Could it be that sun-like Pokémon from earlier? But that didn't look all that strong…"

They began to suspect the worst.

"Never mind that—we need to leave. Now."

The mission was important, yes—but not more than their lives.

Whatever had wiped out their forces so swiftly couldn't be ordinary.

They released their mounts—powerful Pokémon—and immediately fled in different directions.

At the same time, the three legendary Pokémon, having cleared out the surrounding enemies, sensed several powerful presences escaping.

Each of them rushed in from different directions to intercept.

"Enn!"

"Raii!"

"Suii!"

As the legendary Pokémon closed in, the fleeing Pokémon began to grow restless.

Unlike humans, Pokémon are extremely sensitive to danger.

Noticing their mounts' unease, the fleeing elites immediately made a decision—split up.

Even though they couldn't see anything, their Pokémon's reactions were all the proof they needed.

Separating was the smartest choice—at least it gave them a sliver of hope.

"Tsk tsk… they run fast!"

Nathan flew high above, watching through his phone's screen and clicking his tongue.

These new phones really do have incredible cameras.

He had wanted to get a closer look, but the legendary Pokémon were simply too fast.

Even with his Flygon's speed exceeding the norm, he couldn't keep up.

At times like these, high-tech gadgets really showed their worth.
