Ji-hoon summoned every fragment of silver within him.
His human blood. His mirror self. His third consciousness.
"Su-yeon!" he shouted. "The mirror—now!"
Together, they pushed forward.
Ji-hoon's bleeding palm pressed to the mirror. Su-yeon's hand covered his, blue energy fusing with silver.
Cracks spiderwebbed across the mirror's surface. The figures beyond shrieked and recoiled.
Jin-ho's form flickered—first glass, then flesh, then... nothing.
"You don't understand," he rasped. Min-gyu's real voice fighting through the noise. "Break it! Finish it!"
Tears blurred Ji-hoon's vision. But his resolve burned brighter.
For mother. For father. For this world.
Their combined light surged—
And the mirror shattered into a thousand shards.
An explosion of blinding light engulfed the basement. A roar tore through dimensions.
When silence fell—
The mirror was gone. Jin-ho... gone.
Min-gyu's voice echoed faintly: "Protect the boundary, son."
Above ground, the black fog receded. The sky cleared.
The villagers stepped into sunlight, unaware of the war they had been spared.
Ji-hoon and Su-yeon stood alone. Changed. Scarred. Stronger.
"Is it over?" Su-yeon whispered.
Ji-hoon looked down. In a puddle, a single mirror shard gleamed.
And for just a second—
A black eye blinked back at him.
Not over.
Never over.
