The name was like an uppercut on Noah's skull, making his eyes instinctively squint in seriousness.
His relaxed position shifted into a more solemn one, leaning his face slightly as if not hearing clearly enough.
"The Merchant?" Noah echoed, tilting his head slightly to the right, hand resting on his chin in a pensive gesture. The ring on his finger glowed.
The name, for some reason, flooded his senses with a strange feeling. It was like he knew the name, yet at the same time he didn't.
However, something about it threatened to stir awake some memories, but to no avail.
Noah felt like he was standing on an edge, stretching his hand with all his might to grasp something, only to barely brush his finger against it.
